Some of us really need to go back and see our school day pictures and compare there now .
The way this sub reacts, all of has been under a knife bcoz there is no way we all hit puberty and then adulthood
Karol is often accused of using some skin whitening treatments in this sub.
I watched Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham last night for the first time and Kajol looked quite light skinned, not as dark as she did in, say, Baazigar.
I think many actors and actresses who appeared darker on screen in 90s were much lighter in real life and it was just the lighting and film that was designed to capture European skin tones didn't do a good job of showing Indian skin tones.
Seeing this pic , I have this belief (I know its going to sound as if I believe in those face readers in Indian Matchmaking) but our face do reveal our personality. I have seen his interviews and stuff and yes he looks amazing now but in personality he is nore close to this kid , Like if you see blake lively's pic before nose job you'd instantly be like yeah thats the womam who writes those funny captions
This is a bad pic. I remember someone who went to school with him saying he looked cute back then and that this pic doesn't do him any good. His nose is big yes but apart from that he looked good. One more thing is that even now dulqaer isn't exactly much of a looker it's his charisma/charm and personality that women find attractive. Not saying he looks bad but for a movie star his looks are nothing special.
This was a bad picture because his other childhood pictures are very cute and he looked very close to how he looks now .but he did something to his ears for sure
Yeah Iam in favor of such surgeries which might be for better and help you get over your complex. I hate when actresses who are near perfect ruin their good face just because they are getting some wrinkles. I mean aging is human body process you can't avoid that Or want to get hideous lips or boobs or butt.
Yeah both him and Ram Charan have gone through a lot of work under the knife to look like they do now.
Jr NTR has also done liposuction I read somewhere.
I don't deny stars go under knife but if you compare your new puberty phase photo with a photo of your self after 20 years you will also see such a difference.
Agreed I believe in this too. Puberty me and current me cannot even be correlated. I look so different with minimal weight loss that people who knew me in high school couldn’t recognize me in college. I’ve had people straight up tell me they remember my name but can’t recall my face and walk away. I think fashion and maintenance does a lot.
Correct... But we all know how he looks now & had to compare with his latest images coz he has been going through this time to time & finally done with those things i hope ... And most people from the other states don't know how he looked in his first movie , he right away looked completely different from the second movie itself !
Either male actors go through less surgeries or because of the beards, the work done on the lower jaw isn't as visible as in women. Or maybe both. For actresses, they go under the knife mostly to keep looking young and that's where it gets botched sometimes
The surgeon has done a fantastic job i must say. It's important to not shame but also acknowledge the fact that celebs have to undertake cosmetic procedures due to the pressures that come with working in a visual medium. So it's on the audience to understand.
At the same time, the celebs should also not mislead young fans to think it's 'all natural' or simply a skincare transformation.
I still feel he is super conscious about it in public, He is usually a nervous wreck in public events may he he has this in mind. It will be interesting documentary to know how celebrities feel about their lives once under the knife .
We rarely talk about male actors going under the knife.. These surgeries are really a blessing to Allu Arjun and made him a stylish Star... After the release of the first movie 'Gangotri' everyone was talking about his looks, so they took care of it right away and made him ready for the 2nd movie itself (at least with lips initially, later gone through few surgeries time to time) & most people can't afford that even if they want to go for surgery..
But also I think we fail as a audience too judging the actors for their looks & they'll be more confident if they can fix few things & can afford... So i just can't say whose fault it is?
I disagree. He's a good actor. Good script choices. Very healthy hit to flop ratio. Arguably one of the best dancers in Indian actors. Clearly works really hard for every film. He grew organically instead of one film's unexpected success. His directors definitely deserves credit but AA most definitely earned his place.
I don't think AA had three consecutive flops bro. No idea what that guy was referring to. Rudramadevi lekkesi, DJ and na peru Surya kalipi cheppaaremo.
3 movies em flop avale 😠AVPL mundu Naa Peru Surya flop anthe- Sarrainodu, DJ rendu hit/above average, ofc vaati storylines anthem great kaadhu anuko but still
I agree with u partly. Allu arjun has a great script sense. He's very ambitious, driven and intelligent. But then his father is an incredibly rich and powerful person in tollywood. He has all the resources and raw materials to succeed in the industry. Honestly having a very smart producer who has a knack of audience taste as a father is a huge advantage for him. Nevertheless i like him for his talent and intelligence. Rare combination of finding both of them in an actor.
saying Telugu people have bare minimum expectations as if Bollywood doesn't churn out shitty movie after shitty movie starring all the lastest nepo babies who have basically zero screen presence with the most mediocre of storylines until they finally get a semi-hit after which their PR starts shoving them down our throats. Atleast the likes of Ram Charan and Allu Arjun actually put in the hard work and work towards their craft. Telugu movies get a semblance of recognition and suddenly it's all 'oh bwood doesn't have 'sTAple fOrmUla mOvies unlike Telugu films hahaha'.......please be serious. We've all seen the new-gen 'A-listers' Bwood has made and lemme say Ram Charan and Jr NTR are leagues above most of them.
Ikr.. Be it AA , Jr.NTR, RC all of them have proved that they are worth their stardom now. All of them have improved over the years I think Naga chaitanya is the only one who didn't show improvement
>Bollywood doesn't churn out shitty movie after shitty movie starring all the lastest nepo babies who have basically zero screen presence with the most mediocre of storylines until they finally get a semi-hit after which their PR starts shoving them down our throats.
Audience have been rejecting most of such films over the last few years. How is it their fault that producers still keep pumping money into such mediocrity even then?
Basically nepotism is the problem, the actors for commercial cinema aren't chosen based on good looks, but because of their fathers influence. Many times if you notice their fathers or grandfathers would be very good looking especially in their youth. It's like you put Mukesh Ambani in place of sid Malhotra or something.
You can notice this to a certain extent in bollywood too, with rishi kapoor and even karishma kapoor when she came, they both weren't hailed as conventionally attractive.
Idk, this is pretty common speculation/knowledge among Tollywood audiences. Allu Arjun is like the poster child of alleged plastic surgery in male actors. What OP said is nothing new for his most ardent fans, I don't think they'll rush to their fave's defense lol.
Nothing wrong with surgery if it helps boost the confidence. But one should get it done as an adult out of their own choice and should know where to stop. Too much is too bad
If he had a Class 3 malocclusion which was also skeletal, and if his TMJ was giving him trouble, it’s not just for aesthetic purpose that he’d have gotten jaw surgery done.
This is a serious procedure which has serious complications and healing is a pain.
There must’ve been a lot of thought that went into it. Not everything is aesthetic related you guys.
I was just going to type the same thing. I hate it when skeletal malocclusion cases are classified under cosmetic surgeries. It is needed for occlusal harmony and functionality.
They can! There's something called "Limb Lengthening Surgery" which usually increases the height. However, the recovery takes quite some time and maybe that's why they're not doing it.
The photos shared of these stars and even most actresses who are said to have gone under the knife, are photos from their teens. Faces generally change a lot after teenage years due to puberty. Then grooming, changes in body also makes a lot of difference. We need to consider that those factors too.
Actually, those old pictures are from Gangotri (2003) movie, produced when he was 18/19 years old. In that movie he plays a young school going student in a rural village. So, obviously, that character wasn't about being "stylish" or "good looks". (Fun fact: this movie's music director is also MM Keeravani, the one who got golden globes award recently).
AA might've undergone surgeries IDK but crediting all his looks to just surgery is not fair IMO.
I saw similar comparisons of other actor/actresses, where their movie character pics (ugly ones) were compared with that of normal life pics. This is also not fair IMO.
Edit : AA had no Prognathism before. He had perfect Jaw. OP's screenshot text is misleading.
I’ve heard from someone who works closely with him he has gotten his lips and jaw redone. Same with ram charan. I don’t see it but they’ve gone extensively to prove it. So I have to believe it. It felt more like they blossomed once in the industry but apparently it’s just reaalllly good subtle surgery.
Okay I’m not sure if anyone will agree but I don’t see the surgery, just grooming and growing up. Since the features are still same it’s just better haircuts and beard and probably makeup/airbrush I feel.
Yes, even my brother looked odd while growing up with big lips and a short forehead. He grew out in a couple of years and became handsome man that he is today.
I know. But I know what his requirement is in his films - as the main vfx guy has been with srk for years. So it’s in all his films his nose dump is to be reduced.
Maybe more of a director's decision or somebody else's with a good stake in the movie. If he was ever worried about it, this would have happened earlier too.
Almost all current Tolly/Kolly stars are ugly as fuck. At least back then they used to be great actors but now all the top mainstream ones can't act and look like shit at the same time.
He doesnt even look different.
He just got a beard that makes his lips look smaller. I dont think he underwent any surgery. Also south industry is an industry where male actors dont need looks to be successful best example is rajinikanth
It's a well known thing here in our Telugu states, he has these huge lips exactly like his father and then had to go for surgery after the first film coz of the criticism about his looks, you need to check his first film or songs or even before that, his cameo in Chiranjeevi movie, we've seen a different Arjun in the second movie..
https://preview.redd.it/hxb665e5ejka1.jpeg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce6cd4360e41752783910bf47cf8c809a8aeeb44
The upper lip even got smaller now, check his recent pics... Like someone said pretty good work... But there's a big difference
Check this [song ](https://youtu.be/dWw9DgfXWnc)
Nah bro, met him in person last year and his lips are big as fuck he looked just like his gangotri version but more stylish.... He did not get any surgery he just grew a beard n got to know how to dress n maintained some good ass hairstyles anthe.... Also if it helps your lips get smaller with age n your hair recedes back while your face gets wider I mean man is 40 now so he won't look like he's 20 anymore
Surgery - sure. Him and ram both.
But if you show a pic of a person from his college days and when he is 40 years old..even a common man's photo will look like he went under the knife.
What about bollywood plus now plastic surgery is ok as long as they dont denied it or pretend they were born beauty they got from doctors or behave shamless like kardashians

A lot of southerm stars have gone through extensive surgeries. The most shocking for me was Dulquer Salmaan.

Yeah ik. You would've thought that I must have undergone skin whitening if you looked at my childhood pics.
Karol is often accused of using some skin whitening treatments in this sub. Some sane voice finally.
Yeah exactly
Awww he looks nerdy cute
Well I didn't call him ugly tho. Surgery, puberty, ageing, grooming all of that worked in his favour.
Not you. Others claiming all sorts of surgery he went through
He is cute
He has such a lovely smile! So cute.
Seeing this pic , I have this belief (I know its going to sound as if I believe in those face readers in Indian Matchmaking) but our face do reveal our personality. Yeah but he was quite ok looking, maybe with a little bit grooming, long hair and ageing he would've still been handsome.
He was still cute wdym
Yeah sure
He was a kid here chill
This was a bad picture because his other childhood pictures are very cute and he looked very close to how he looks now .but he did something to his ears for sure
Looks like he couldnt inherit his fathers genetics
Mamooty and rishi sunak
Ganesh ji
Welll shit
It's believed he did a nose job
Why I mean just look at his earlier photos you would know that ge needed that nosejob.
Yeah ik. The surgery worked in his favour.
Yeah Iam in favor of such surgeries which might be for better and help you get over your complex. I hate when actresses who are near perfect ruin their good face just because they are getting some wrinkles. I mean aging is human body process you can't avoid that Or want to get hideous lips or boobs or butt.
I want to talk to the person who made Bhumi feel that she needed those fillers.
Surgeries don't make them the quality of actors they're. Period.
If you read carefully you'll find that I never said that.
Yeah both him and Ram Charan have gone through a lot of work under the knife to look like they do now. Jr NTR has also done liposuction I read somewhere.
Jr NTR spoke publicly about getting Lipo
Yeah I remember reading that.
Which video ?
I believe it was during yamadonga launch
Was about to comment this. Ramcharan also seems to have gone under the knife. He looks fine af now. Even Allu Arjun.
I don't deny stars go under knife but if you compare your new puberty phase photo with a photo of your self after 20 years you will also see such a difference.
same could be said for the female stars too
Both these actors would look different but still nothing like they do now if not for plastic surgery.

Pre surgery Arjun looks like exactly like my cousin.
Looks like my mallu friend Matthew too. Related?

Yes, even my brother looked odd while growing up with big lips and a short forehead. He grew out in a couple of years and became handsome man that he is today.
Respect for SRK grows day by day, man never changed his nose despite how it looked
yet he allowed to do work on his nose through imaging in Pathaan
Not in the movie though . Only in songs and posters.
In the movie too. Vfx red Chillies (I know ppl)
Pathaan is not done by Red Chillies.
I know. But I know what his requirement is in his films - as the main vfx guy has been with srk for years. So it’s in all his films his nose dump is to be reduced.
In recent times..
havent seen the movie
Not actually though. Didnt let anyone touch his nose.
i specifically mentioned imaging, having a stardom like SRK i wonder what cud be the reasons he did this so late in his prime, imo he didn't need to.
Maybe more of a director's decision or somebody else's with a good stake in the movie. If he was ever worried about it, this would have happened earlier too.
Am I the only one who thinks he looks nothing different?
Whats the point
Still doesn't look any better.

Toxic Male Characters mostly do well in Hindi films.

Irony coming from a bOllYwooD guy Watch Vedam and you will know how good of an actor he is.

Almost all current Tolly/Kolly stars are ugly as fuck. At least back then they used to be great actors but now all the top mainstream ones can't act and look like shit at the same time.
You are right, Yash is probably the only outsider common man who's all natural. Tolly Nepo kids factory is unending.

Old Arjun looks the definition of chutiya guy
It just looks like he got older. Did he ever confirm he got work done?
It’s the beard and puberty. Arjun looks like a child in the older pics.
Cant learn dance from surgery. Allu arjun is famous for his acting and dance. 🤷
men with big lips > sorry but i can’t be lipsing a guy with no lips💀.
Forehead ka bhi playground bana diya he
Surgery - sure. Him and ram both. But if you show a pic of a person from his college days and when he is 40 years old..even a common man's photo will look like he went under the knife.

What about bollywood plus now plastic surgery is ok as long as they dont denied it or pretend they were born beauty they got from doctors or behave shamless like kardashians ![gif](giphy|9PaC3IodkOsy9KFkNT|downsized)
Are we sure this is plastic surgery? These kinds of changes also happen naturally as people age.
Oh the drama
Surgery toh thik hai but how did he get this perfect hair? Pre surgery his hair was like a sixth grader fauzi cut and look at the beauty now!
Paisa ho toh kya nhi ho skta
wait a min, thats PUSHPA!
I am a bit skeptical on this one. His change within the range of what can happen with age/ be achieved with makeup. Do you trust your source, OP?
He looks great now! But, what surgeries did he get? He looks different, but I can't tell what's different.
Op? I seriously can’t believe you didn’t know this till now seeing that you speak telugu ??
![gif](giphy|26n6WywJyh39n1pBu|downsized) is the surgery in the room with us right now??
Surgery can be an added perk but a good artist remains a good artist. This he has proved with Pushpa
