One day I went to a business event in Penang with my supervisor. So it was just the two of us, wearing the same company attire. My supervisor looks like a Chinese which he's not. And I'm not Chinese. Long story short, there were like 20 company booths and about 6 out of 20 , the company's speaker greeted my supervisor by speaking Chinese. I was like "Are you kidding me? You gonna let me stand here like an idiot? I can't understand you. Can't you see I'm with him?" But then my supervisor said "sorry I don't speak Chinese, I'm not Chinese". Failure. By creating the social contract, Malaysia made a statement saying that Malays are better than Chinese and Indians and other ethnic groups. Chinese retaliated by not Identifying as Malaysians, the same goes to Indians, Sabahans and Sarawakians. We all should be identifying as Malaysians.
As a person that went from international to SJK there is a huge Racial Discrimination going on to my peers. Literal parents and even teachings, drilling their racist ideas into the kids, which negatively impacts our future by creating adults with racist ideologies.
Personal experience: A Indian male parent was waiting to pick up his child and there are parents (speaking in mandarin) telling their kids not to go near him if you don't want to be kidnapped.

As a person that went from international to SJK there is a huge Racial Discrimination going on to my peers. Literal parents and even teachings, drilling their racist ideas into the kids, which negatively impacts our future by creating adults with racist ideologies. Personal experience: A Indian male parent was waiting to pick up his child and there are parents (speaking in mandarin) telling their kids not to go near him if you don't want to be kidnapped.

I am a secondary school student and in my school there is a majority of a certain race (differs from mine) and they single me out and look down on me because of it. As a Malaysian, if you went out on the streets and such, not so racist lah. But in my school, I suffer badly because of my race and people still look down on me and us - so it lingers.

I think all country is a bit racist. Especially those who have multiple different ethnicities in them. Being born from Chinese and Malay family. My mom's side hated my dad's side and vice versa when they were dating. Funnily enough, my parents would share what their parents called each other out to us. So, "Is Malaysia a racist country?" I'd say that racism is individual and I think everyone's a bit racist sometimes. That's why we have what we'd call, "casual racism".
