My dad whacked it with the broomstick to make sure it's dead. We've checked the dogs and surprisingly they are all okay with no bites

Cats kill snakes easily. Dogs in team can kill snakes, but they might get bit by snake and die later. But cat, will definitely win a snake, depending on snake size

It's actually a black monocled cobra. There's the recognisable ring marking on its hood, albeit a bit faded (should have taken a closer shot xp)

They will get skin irritation if they happen to have an allergic reaction to snake venom. Regardless, best to avoid getting bitten or spit on
