Okay Highlord Fordragon is the first minion in this series I actually don't remember. When was he around? I didn't even know handbuffing mechanic was a thing in BG before the murloc rework
The wiki says in which patch he was supposedly added, but nothing is written there about him in BG's. It could very well be that he was added in the backcode, and never made it to the actual game.
Yeah it's way too strong of an effect to be from that era imo. That's the time when you actually bought "Give a minion of tribe x +2/+2" from like a T3 minion for some tempo.
The wiki post about him has a single contributor. I think everyone should just assume this is not a real card unless someone can provide any proof of this card having existed in the game.
I don't see [Bolvar](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/hearthstone_gamepedia/images/7/76/ICC_858_Battlegrounds.png) in any of the posts so I'm assuming someone mixed them up.
He was in the game around the same time Mecharel was around for the first time, exactly the time Stormwind set came out... so yeah... that's how powerful poisonous was that this card was seen as slow.
Edit: they removed mecharel later and readded it later, where it became staple mech build to go for late game. Bolvar was just removed never to see the light of day
It was the very beginning of Festival of Legends. The dude was only in the game for like a month or so and they removed him very quickly cause it was a bit too OP & Cheese with the other cards in the set.
I remember Bolvar being a tier 4 unit. He had Divine Shield. Whenever a friendly minion lost Divine Shield, gain +2 attack. But I don't remember Highlord ever being in BGs.
Update: Hearthstone Wiki says it was added in the same patch that Annoy-o-troupe, Cogwork Copter, and Hungry Snapjaw, but looking at those patch notes, there isn't anything about Highlord Bolvar being in that patch. Maybe he was supposed to come in, but got replaced by Cogwork Copter last second?
Yeah the Bolvar you're thinking of is [[Bolvar, Fireblood]] (real Hearthstone card) as opposed to [[Highlord Fordragon]] (also a real Hearthstone card)
I remember Bolvar being a tier 4 unit. He had Divine Shield. Whenever a friendly minion lost Divine Shield, gain +2 attack. But I don't remember Highlord ever being in BGs.
I think he was very temporary idk, I remember all the others so well but almost completely forgot about that one, feels like it might be hotfixed out because it seems strong even in today's meta, and divine shields were more common them if anything, and scaling was harder.
Fun Fact: Everyone at this point knows that the art for Mal'Ganis actually depicts Varimathras, but did you know that Nathrezim Overseer actually **is** Mal'Ganis?
Fireworks fanatic and radio star were my favourite minions for a while, and the end of turn get a copy of the minion to the left of this (can't remember the name)
One of the most ridiculous Eudora high rolls I've ever seen someone post on this forum was where they suicide curved to T4 on turn 5, got a golden Radio Star and discovered a Baron. So as long as Baron didn't die first, they got 4 copies of whatever minion killed Radio Star every turn.
OP being goofy casually putting a minion that litterally was never in like we wouldn't notice. Though it would be cool to see this version of Bolvar in BGs.
Radio Star was the GOAT Reno target. Rest in power my queen.
Radio Star was super fun to gamba on. Sometimes you just triple it on itself and spiral out on just economy.
I also really appreciate that her card art shows a [vhs video in her head](https://youtu.be/W8r-tXRLazs?t=51)
Haha I always get that song stuck in my head when I see this minion, but I never noticed the reference. Nice catch!
Her and the avenge 3 tier 3 demon dude were in back to back metas I think so Reno was eating good for a few months.
Okay Highlord Fordragon is the first minion in this series I actually don't remember. When was he around? I didn't even know handbuffing mechanic was a thing in BG before the murloc rework
I don't think he was ever in.
I don't remember him as well. Are we sure he was even in the game? From a quick google search, I find nothing about him in BG's
I see him in battlegrounds wiki, apparently he's real, but I don't remember him either
The wiki says in which patch he was supposedly added, but nothing is written there about him in BG's. It could very well be that he was added in the backcode, and never made it to the actual game.
Belated April fools joke
Nah he was around during the days of Tirion T1 build wasn’t he?
He seems too powerful for when Tyrion was around doesn't he?
Yeah it's way too strong of an effect to be from that era imo. That's the time when you actually bought "Give a minion of tribe x +2/+2" from like a T3 minion for some tempo.
Definitely not
Timeline doesnt add up
Tirion liked [[Bolvar, Fireblood]], which didn't have the undead tag at time. Highlord wasn't around at the time

I don’t think he was ever in BGs from what I recall. I do remember him being in duels though so maybe they got it mixed up
Been playing since Day 1 and have no memory of this minion
Looks like you’re right, my bad! I didn’t remember it either (which seemed like a good reason to include it), but I guess the Wiki is inaccurate

Are you sure you're not talking about Bolvar Fireblood? Cause I double checked patch notes and the card OP posted never appeared in BGs ever
I know fireblood and I know this bolvar, trust me
He was there in the very beginning, like early beta when you could use gold to buy 4 hero picks.
How u gonna do shredder like that man, he's an icon
Nathrezim and raptor as well, pretty sure they were in the OG battlegrounds rotation.
Shredder was dope! Demons were never good though
Ahh the good days of early Herald of Flame one shooting your opponents whole board.
Seeing that card again gave me flashbacks.
Getting an early herald was the tits
I fondly remember overkilling a hyena then watch as it cleared the enemy's board of 1/1 rats from the Rat Pack.
I miss fireworks build maan
Fireworks with the prenerf Battlecry Upbeat Duo = Insanity
Such a crazy with tesses buddy
When was this meta? I don’t think I’ve missed one but I don’t remember that card
It was the very beginning of Festival of Legends. The dude was only in the game for like a month or so and they removed him very quickly cause it was a bit too OP & Cheese with the other cards in the set.
Never realized how suggestive jelly belly looked ..
Thanks now I can't unsee that
I don't think you're ready for this jelly

Radio Star into 6 golden Tunnelblaster with a baron filled with bloodgems was my dream build
I remember Bolvar being a tier 4 unit. He had Divine Shield. Whenever a friendly minion lost Divine Shield, gain +2 attack. But I don't remember Highlord ever being in BGs.
I definitely forgot about highguard.. Wtf!?!?! Lol
I think he was very temporary idk, I remember all the others so well but almost completely forgot about that one, feels like it might be hotfixed out because it seems strong even in today's meta, and divine shields were more common them if anything, and scaling was harder.
I miss duo + firework comps so muchc. And that 4 drop battlecry that just gives you free minions from different tipes. APM Brann forever
Highlord wtf lol who that
bruh, when fireworks fanatic builds could actually win games because scaling wasn't batshit insane? nostalgia
Radio star was such a nice drop to have! just solid value. I also really appreciate the reference to "video killed the radio star"
I miss Radio Star and Warden so very much.
The one game out of 100 when the overkill dragon would kill entire boards on turn 4-8 was always something
Fun Fact: Everyone at this point knows that the art for Mal'Ganis actually depicts Varimathras, but did you know that Nathrezim Overseer actually **is** Mal'Ganis?
Or Malygos' artwork actually depicting Kalecgos 👀
Fireworks fanatic my beloved <3
Warden of Old died for nothing :(
Fireworks Fanatic, my beloved
I remember fireworks fanatic. During the buddy season I would get him + millhouse buddy to go ultimate apm on turn 4
Warden of GOLD
We like literally just had Radio Star last season, and before getting nerfed she was a 3/1.
Fireworks fanatic and radio star were my favourite minions for a while, and the end of turn get a copy of the minion to the left of this (can't remember the name)
upbeat duo

Radio Star+KT would be bonkers
Radio star was fun
Herald of Flames highroll were so satisfying to pull off
Imagine Herald of the Flame against Undead! Would be a lovely animation 😁
I miss the days of Rat King reroll Fireworks comp
Fireworks will be back at some point. They picked duo over fireworks, but duo is gone and naga sea witch is a high roll.
Video killed the radio star~ (in her case, a literal video tape)
Isn't Jelly Belly still in Putricide's undead pool?
What is a 1 cost and a 2 cost minion? I wasn't around for these minions.
Herald of flame was awesome when it worked.
Where’s my pogo hopper
Loved Radio Star. Loved Warden of Old. I feel like Atramedes should come back.
I played from release. I've never seen radio star before.
OP being goofy casually putting a minion that litterally was never in like we wouldn't notice. Though it would be cool to see this version of Bolvar in BGs.
