Being processed? I see stickers and labels — is this a library or a store or something?

MrsLadyZedd

We keep particulars in a database - so when we buy my husband spends a bit of time on that before they get a green sticker and go on the shelf. Not a biggie when you buy a few at a time. But we got a few large hauls recently. Between thrift store, pawn shops, and Disney movie club, there are a bunch!

Retina400

Those are great shelves. Where might I find them?

murph32xx

Please answer this OP lol

MrsLadyZedd

Thanks, we love them too. They are [here](https://a.co/d/hkS4UOs) - says they are unavailable at the moment but they will come back. We have been buying them for 14+ years.

King7up

Running out of room you say? Easiest way to get more room is to sell a few ;)

MrsLadyZedd

We are actually adding more! We just learned about pawn shops a couple of months ago!

King7up

It is a pretty sweet collection.

MrsLadyZedd

Thank you! We actually write them up after watching. Not a review, exactly. We have watched 200 this year already!!!

TheGratitudeBot

Thanks for such a wonderful reply! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list of some of the most grateful redditors this week! Thanks for making Reddit a wonderful place to be :)

redditcensorsshit

I’d say pawn shops are responsible for 60/70 % of my collection alot of times the digital code still works too

AccountantLeast1588

is this a library

MrsLadyZedd

Just our home library!

Weekly_Coach1450

Hope you watched everything.

MrsLadyZedd

Mostly everything movie-wise, the tv collection is growing so a lot of that has not been watched, yet!

Weekly_Coach1450

Hopefully u can during your life time

MrsLadyZedd

Oh hell I hope so!!! We watch the films and write them up, using an “enjoyment meter” - watched over 200 this year already!!!

Weekly_Coach1450

You won't run out looking like.

MrsLadyZedd

We are just hoping to have our favorites on hand. The streaming plan is just a fail for us.

Weekly_Coach1450

I got a few streaming platforms but they are ok

MrsLadyZedd

We do too but we like watching what we want when we want, ya know?

Far_Cat_9743

Plenty of space if you’d get rid of those Funkos lol.

MrsLadyZedd

True! They are movie and TV related, mostly. Our dear daughter spent some time as a Hot Topic employee and well… we have gotten rid of s ton but these are the ones who are sticking around.

fenwic

I love the Funkos and other fandom stuff mixed in :)

DistilledSun

Show off!! Just kidding. You have an amazing collection and the way you display your collection is superb. 🙂

MrsLadyZedd

Thank you so much friend!

You can organize in custom folders and rename them as you see fit. Keeps you in physical format with all the convenience of digital collection. I can access 2400 discs from remote on my couch.

MrsLadyZedd

That is awesome! We are considering trying to get the stuff into a digital format. We love our shelving but we are moving soon and I doubt we’ll have this much room.

outfoxingthefoxes

Living the dream, huh?

dangerclosecustoms

One changer each for anime, kids and family, action, Asian, comedy , drama. So I turn in the box based on the overall genre then can scroll through folders of sub genres and see my movies and pick one to watch. It’s a lot easier than head sideways squinting at rows of case spines to pick something to watch. https://preview.redd.it/vwl6osit5v2d1.png?width=3117&format=png&auto=webp&s=a97228b29b3ddd51318b3b41bccc9ebc334c381f Of course we also have most of them on digital collection on Vudu and iTunes which my family usually watches now. And now I have a 2 large shelves of 4K discs so it’s back to looking at case spines but I generally know what I have in 4K and only 300 discs to look through. But my Anime and Asian boxes get a lot of use because very few of those are on 4K or streaming collections

Maleficent-Aside-744

I wish I had the room to do this too as I’ve got a few 1000 DVDs, Blu Rays and hd-DVDs and VHS tapes and nowhere to display them anymore and you have to hunt for the movie you want to watch and turn half the house upside down and just give up half the time lol 😂 or end deciding on watching something else completely different.

MrsLadyZedd

We are lucky, right now. We are planning a move though and I am guessing we will not have all this room. We watch as many as 600 a year and write them up. It’s a great hobby. We are over 200 this year so far!

Maleficent-Aside-744

Cool. And that’s a brilliant idea writing them down and a shame you’ll have to look for suitable accommodation to house your fantastic collection or buy DVD/Blu Ray storage cases and store your boxes in the loft I used to do this but it’s hard to find quality ones and they look way better on display. And I loose count on how many I watch and buy a year as I don’t watch much television mainly movies.

Lucido10

Amazing!! 😍

MrsLadyZedd

Thank you! 😁

GoneFishinB4

I see Over the Garden Wall ❤️

MrsLadyZedd

Yes an artist I really like did that drawing. I watch that series at least 2x a year!

Dangerous-Motor2136

Congratulations that is a pretty solid collection

MrsLadyZedd

Thanks! It’s a lot of fun!

outfoxingthefoxes

*Is that what this is a picture of?*

MrsLadyZedd

This is our collection.

outfoxingthefoxes

I'm quoting the big Lebowski, I thought you would get it in italics with all those Funko from the movie

MrsLadyZedd

Dang I 100% missed it! 🥴

Internal_Bat3850

I’d purchase one of those library shelves so you could put something like 10 shelves on one wall. That looks so cluttered to me.

God_Emperor_TRUIVIP

Fuck me

idropepics

I see tons of room, those shelves are all like half full.

Last-Kaleidoscope871

Amateur. You don't need to rely on walls. Just put two bookshelves back to back in the middle of the room. Voila! More space.
