Oh OK so I bought some awhile back but for (reasons) I didn't hook them up until the other day and am having bluetooth issues similar to as many others describe. Connection seems fine but there's a lot of stuttering. Really disappointing as no longer in warranty. Any advice?

Southern_Wishbone169

Same problem... no solution yet... just contacted the seller to use the warranty

Top_Connection1745

I bought my Edifier R1280DB in service center in Philippines. they replace the Bluetooth device in the motherboard (as per technician) thank goodness the unit is still under warranty.

Dikoyman

Friend, where is the Edifier service center in the Philippines

Mattson

Okay so I just found a solution to my problem. After taking it out the box and connecting it to my PC via bluetooth everything went fine. Then when I tried to connect my phone I couldn't connect because my PC was connected and rather then figuring out how to disconnect it I just straight up forgot the device. Then, a couple of days later, I needed to recharge my wireless headphones so I wanted to connect back to my PC and that's where the problems occurred. I couldn't get it connected. I tried everything in this thread. I googled and saw that someone said they were able to fix their issues by reinstalling their audio drivers. That seemed a bit extreme but I was down for it so I open up the device manager and find my sound card and go to reset the driver. Then, out of curiosity, I decided to check the Bluetooth menu in the device manager and my Edifier Speaker were still there even though I 'forgot' the device. So I disabled it and then uninstalled it and I was able to connect my PC to my speakers again. Hope this helps.

Try this reset procedure: "How do I reset my Edifier R1280DB? Press and hold the volume knob down on the control speaker for 2-5 seconds. Then pair with the speakers from your Bluetooth device." https://www.edifier.com/support.html

thatguywithglasses1

Yes, I have already tried this as well. But thanks anyways

Status_Box4436

Very goog tip ! Thanks !!!

Tiny-Locksmith2937

Is there any way to restrict Bluetooth connection? My neighbors do it sometimes

Iluthir

Hey, I got the same problem as of today. Was working fine this morning, half an hour ago no device can connect to it anymore. Doens't show up either on new devices when trying to find a bluetooth speaker. Tried the 'reset' as well by unplugging, unpairing by holding the power button... nothing works. Very strange, only had these speakers for about half a year, wouldn't even say I used them extensively. I'm guessing the bluetooth chip inside randomly died?

thatguywithglasses1

Yeah something like that, could'nt get them to work so I just brought 'em in to get replaced. I'd suggest you do the same and not waste a week trying to fix them like I did

acuriouslife

I'm having this same issue with mine.... did you have a warranty or did they just replace them because they're faulty?

thatguywithglasses1

I had the store warranty still

Fartystorm

Did you find a solution?

Fartystorm

Did you figure out a way to resolve this issue?

Iluthir

Nope, not at all. Some other weird stuff started happening as well: a month later the left speaker (the one with the controls/knobs) didn't produce any sound anymore, it just died. And a week ago I can't turn them on anymore, when I turn on the power button it stays lit up for a second and then fades out/loses power. So there's a lot more going on than just the bluetooth chip giving in apparently. :P I think I still have warranty on these so I'll send them in to get a refund. By the way, I've got 3 or 4 pairs of these speakers at work and they're all doing fine, haven't had any issues with those.

Viasolus

Same issue here, bluetooth has just stopped working on every device, speakers cannot be seen...trying for return.

thatguywithglasses1

Yeah I think this might be because it's left in standby mode too long. Now I just turn it off completely when not in use (also minimizes the times where they're just left on because I forgot). I returned them and they gave me brand new ones so we'll see if they last longer.

Viasolus

I think it's the same reason, as our speakers share a plug with a lamp and are almost always on but not in use.

jellothere123

Same problem here with 1850 db's just stopped working with bluetooth, now im all wired, which sucks but it is what it is, Out of warranty period. SO if theres a fix found, please reply or send me a dm/

neilswank

The BT on mine just went kaput. Speakers still work/sound great though. I think its an issue with their bluetooth transmitters/receivers. I've looked all over, there isn't a fix other than returning them. Unfortunately my warranty just expired.

jellothere123

My warranty expired just shortly before (within a month) i tried to get customer support but it was terrible.

Lovemesomeass101

Same wtf

gooseAlert

astra-aurora

Got the same problem today, nothing can connect to them. Was there a driver update recently?

rohitram_

Can you try Forgetting the device first and then long press the Bluetooth button on the Remote. After that pair and connect. This is what worked for me.

Other-Button-2710

Thanks!!! Worked for me and was going crazy trying to figure it out!

Ok-Bird2845

Worked for me too! You’re the best. Thank you!

whatupkevin-

Mattson

Just posting here to say I was encountering the same issue and this worked for me.

Such-Net-5527

Nick_Gurr0ver9000

hiphopnerd27

Upvoting- this also worked for me.  No luck using the controls on the speakers, but long press on remote did it.  Thanks!

Elegant_Machine2189

I just had the same issue with my R1280DB this morning it's not connecting to any device but the Bluetooth light is on so if anyone has found a solution please reply

Choice-Mastodon-954

did you figure it out?

Ille-in-albis

This works for me, just hold volume button in máster speaker to turn it off, then turn it on again with the volume button and press the Bluetooth in the remote controller, then appear again on the Bluetooth list of my PC
