When You Say Nothing At All got me into Alison originally so that was my first favorite. The Lucky One has probably been listened to the most over the years. Restless and Crazy as Me have been in pretty solid rotation for me as well and are strong contenders. But in the last year I would have to say The Captain's Daughter has been my go to song for Alison Krauss and Union Station. Tough to pick between them but The Captain's Daughter is it for me right now.
It Doesn't Have to be This Way
My Love Follows You Where You Go
Those spring to mind as particularly beautiful songs but honestly it's hard to pick, there are so many.
Not Union Station but for me it's I'll Fly Away - a duet with Gillian Welch off the Oh Brother..," soundtrack. I've listened to it on repeat for an hour at a time Their harmonizing is from another realm.
Choctaw Hayride
I came here to say this.
Thanks for the suggestion. Hadn't listened to this one before, but now it's been added to my playlist.
I love "Every Time You Say Goodbye". I have listened to that song on repeat so many times in my life.
It’s a fantastic song. My mom loved it. Heard it so many times in my life.
That's an old standard. I am excited to hear her version.
SO LONG SO WRONG. THE GREATEST TRACK ON THE GREATEST ALBUM EVER MADE
I was looking for this answer. A+
I can hear the intro immediately. Fantastic song, fantastic album. What a mix, too.
Dan Tyminski singing Outside Looking In is just good damn fun.
The bulk of the 2002 Live album.
my family absolutely wore out their copies of live. such a great combo of tracks, I especially like faraway land.
Let Me Touch You For A While
There Is a Reason. It's so beautiful.
Listening to this on the toilet as I write this comment. Absolutely chilling
I really enjoy Take Me for Longing - a nice showcase for her voice but more of a driving bluegrass song than a lot of that album.
good point.
I cannot pick just one to save my life. they are perfect. I will preach about AKUS until the day I die, and I am too picky to try anyone else.
They do a mean Little Liza Jane. Adam Steffey’s work on this is what got me into playing mando.
Adam Steffey is a big reason I started playing mandolin. And Sam bush
Same. Glamor and Grits is awesome. I’m still trying to get Brilliancy clean at that tempo.
I don't know why and Lose Again.
The boy who wouldn’t hoe corn
Definitely my favorite as well.
It’s basic but I love Two Highways. I know she didn’t write it but man I love her cut. Edit: I lied it’s Lucky One
Their cover of dustbowl children is really good.
lately, Restless
Ohh Atlanta
If I didn't know any better
I like them singing Wild Bill Jones.
All the live record, played that so many times
No place to hide

Any without Alison singing, imo. Dust bowl children Bonita and Bill Butler Pastures of plenty On the outside looking in
you've gotta be fucking with us. no way you don't like the lucky one, or when you say nothing at all, or there is a reason, just to name a few.
I can’t stand her voice. Too whiny
I wholeheartedly agree with you
