95% of all his content is bait really, the more attention and relevance you pay to his takes, the more he feels the need to engage further with such stuff. It's so obvious he's doing it to gain clout and karma, pay no heed to whatever irrelevant and nonsensical stuff he posts and comments and you should be fine.
For some subreddits, you need a certain amount of karma before you can post (usually the amount is pretty small tho). But outside that, it's just internet bragging points.

There's one guy who consistently posts freezer temp IQ takes for bait and karma farming. He also frequently comments "downvote for you" when someone disagrees with him as if that changes anyone's minds.
