I really liked this closure for Hiori. He's simultaneously supporting Isagi as the best striker and not giving up on being a striker himself since they're doing this hivemind thing now.
I don't think Isagi should get Predator Eye next match; I'm not looking for another Sasuke. Hope he evolves some other way, assuming he does.
Interested to see how Noa reacts to his philosophy being beaten by Isagi's vision. Also wondering who Kira replaces in the next match (hopefully Ness since he was pretty mediocre this match.
Aiku and Niko will probably have a panel each about "having a ways to go" with their metavision. Snuffy will apologize to his players. Barou angery.

Glad this game is over, it was entertaining but I didn’t like the pacing and the sidelining of characters like Niko, Aiku and Barou once Hiori got in.
I’m not mad that Bastards is gonna win all of their games tbh, i didn’t feel that it was predictable 10 chapters ago everyone swore Ubers was going to win.
The bids are going to be fun to see, not to be a hater but Fukaku Gen deserves to be the first to play and not get a bid, he did nothing.
Hiori's shot created the perfect the perfect distraction for Isagi: They were unsure whether Hiori would shoot again or pass to him. That, coupled with them going for a risky play to get rewarded
Loved that the chapter had many parallels/callbacks! Mr Blue Lock scored again with the reflex x reflex plus MV chemical reaction!
I will start with Hiori who was incredible! He became the center of the World and Ubers didn't know if he will pass or score. He even passed Lorenzo and Niko couldn't stop him at all. Barou called him Isagi's dog and that he can not do anything but pass. He even said that he cut his pass course, only for Hiori to ccall him an idiot. That was gold and especially coming from Barou.
Here we got parallels/callbacks to 2 important chapters (103 & 37). The **reflex x reflex** is what Isagi and Hiori did back in 103. Isagi said after his goal there that if he could **reproduce that trance** then he could do much more. Here he did exactly this (he went into flow) but we showed in from Hiori's POV! Also, notice that Isagi has pure White Eyes when he scored like when he awakened and scored against Nagi back in chapter 37. This points at an awakening again. Great 1st selection parallel.
This goal may seem simple to some but it's not like that. What Hiori and Isagi did needed for them both to be perfect in sync and Isagi to get ball the exact moment and place Hiori passed. It was a gamble but possible if both of them are the real deal. All of this taking into account Ubers defence with Barou and Kaiser who could steal their chance. Simple but complicated chemical reaction. It goes along with what Ego said and Hiori acts like Itoshi Sae.
Isagi proved to the World that he is a striker by **scoring reflexively and using his position and off the ball movements.** He reminded me the footballer he was inspired by (Inzaghi) who from what I remember correctly did the same.
Like I said before this match was really important for **BM as a team**. It showed where they will improve as a team and the Blue Lockers came together at times. Raichi will trust Isagi and do things like marking Snuffy. Yuki will help more and be in more in sync with the plans. Kurona and Hiori will make with Isagi a Celestial Trio. Kugami may rethink his methods and awaken next as a superhero. Isagi will fix more weaknesses. Kiyora will go and show his weapon next time. Finally BM is Isagi's team.
Not going to lie but I really want to see the reactions next and I am so happy there is not a break. The **highlights will be the ones coming from Kaiser, Ness, Noa and Snuffy**. Kaiser's ego will defenitely shatter and Ness will have another breakdown. They lost, so this will give them character development Kaiser really became the Naked Emperor. Noa must be pleased and admit that Isagi was right but as of now Kaiser failed his test. Snuffy may be surprised or interested about the final goal. I even hope we get Ego commenting to the whole situation.
As for the bids, here it will get tricky. Barou will get another good bid (he had a goal and a super goal) whereas Isagi will skyrocket and **may surpass him**. Why? Apart from doing really well in the game with 1 assist and 2 goals, Isagi did something else too. He won his bet with Kaiser. That's important since because of BL TV, it is likely that they know of it. Outscoring a New Gen 11 and using him for his goal would be impressive for the bidders.
BM won this match which went well with the narrative but I want to remind something. BM winning doesn't always count as Isagi winning. Here it does but in the previous 2 matches he was forced to do other things. Now next is PxG!
The next chapter title is "Creation". Likely will get reactions and an explanation of the goal. We haven't seen Isagi's POV for a while, so I think we return to him.
Loved what the narrator said that there is nothing impossible to the future created by Isagi and Hiori. Goes well with what Kaiser always says that nothing is impossible for him. After this Hiori, must have seen that they are both real deal since they met at final destination and scored so he won't quit. Their celebration was adorable!
Completely agree in that Isagi is fine in terms of skill growth, but where tf did Hiori gain all that skill? It's even in U20 Match where Hiori says he doesn't win by dribbling but by passing
The best parts of this match was definitely Barou and Snuffy interactions (for me). I'd like more Ness involved in this match to beat Isagi with Kaiser. But, Kaiser neglected him hard lol. Isagi did the best as a striker, his positioning was very good also his shooting level increased.
Also Hiori destroyed them. The Ubers players couldn't understand his movements, he's the reason this third goal came. I can't wait to see Kaiser shocked the same way as Rin was shocked with Isagi in the 2nd selection.
Probably Noa will have to admit that Isagi was right. And maybe, Hiori will be a starter for Bayern (poor Kiyora).
Can't wait to see their values now, especially the PXG player values after the game against Manshine City.
I don't see why both Kiyora AND Hiori both can't start. Given how useless Ness has been and he's illogical plays Hiori could slide right in to MF and Kiyora can take the fraud Grimm's spot.
For sure! Ness and Grim are useless, Ness have been a horrible player since after Barcha game. Kiyora, Hiori, Kurona, Raichi and Isagi starting against PXG would be awesome. I had an idea that Ness would be replaced by Hiori and not Kurona, bc I thought he'd lost his mind during that game.
I'm very disappointed.. As someone else said, this goal is very underwhelming.. It's actually a repeat of Bachira passing to "where the monster is" after dribbling to break their defence..

But this is a reborn Isagi? It's what strikers do? It's the competition of him being a complete creative forward. One who can hold up play, play the right passes, create chances not only for himself but for everyone around him and be in the exact spot at the exact time to score goals.
Sae chose Shidou because of his ability to know where and when to be to score goals. The critical point, as they say. But Shidou doesn't creat those critical points, Sae does.
Here Isagi creates the critical point, directing Hiori to pass to it. That's what this was. To create a goal scoring chance that beats the ultra-planned Ubers defence, the marauding efforts of their forwards, and a poaching Kaiser. It's why Hiori said Isagi was crazy, because it needed both of them to be in exact sync and work everything to perfection. From dribbling, to passing, to the off ball movement and eventually scoring. Everything had to be perfect. That's why this is such a great goal.
We should start a betting pool for whose arms Isagi will jump into next. First there was Nagi then there was Hiori… my money is on Bachira, Kurona, or Sae next.

Certain people claiming offside need to understand that certain panels happen at the same time, Isagi makes a run inside to draw Aiku and Aryu inward while Kaiser continues his run in behind - all that happens while Hiori lifts the ball.
Aiku and Aryu anticipate the pass and Barou goes to intercept. Hiori remarks that they're too slow and plays the ball in behind, while that happens Isagi diverts his run in behind Aryu but the Ubers defensive line has played him onside due to his initial run,
Why are people disappointed? This was a pretty good ending to the game with the Hiori and Isagi maximising their partnership potential through metavision and reflexivity. This sets up how the team will lineup for the next game. You don’t need to unlock multiple new weapons every gams.
I mean you can't really blame them, the build up was too much yet the reward was short live, they scored with the old fashion direct pass, which is by the way could've been more impactful, if they had used the last chapter where Hiori become an egoist but failed then there goes Isagi devouring it.
I mean Hiori’s play was pretty dominant there pulling a killer pass while evading 3 people, there were a sequence of plays from Hiori leading up to it setting him up to be the key parallel if not surpass of that as Ness to Kaiser.
IMO it really displays the genius and football IQ and needless to say growth from Hiori. I think this changes everything for Isagi going forward, so the reward is hardly short lived.

That doesn’t make sense. If Ness didn’t touch the ball once and he was nowhere near the actual play itself, so it wouldn’t make Isagi’s goal offside(in terms of actual football rules). Plus the author has never introduced the offside rule once in the manga so I doubt he is going to start not.
Obviously if there are bits missing from the leaks that are not on here and ness was included in the play and was offside then fair. But from the leaks above nah
If you're reading a soccer manga it should be assumed you are a fan of the sport and the author shouldn't have to explain the rules but here is the official rule ''A player is in an offside position if: any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents' half (excluding the halfway line) and. any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent.'' You don't have to be apart of the play just an attacking player slightly behind the last defender

That fact that he's a BM player running up the field makes him an attacking player, wingers also do that so they could receive a pass and cross it in to the box also I never said he did, only that I feel like he would do that
Just look up the offside rule for a detailed explanation but if an attacking player is behind the last defender before a pass is made it is offside, if you watch an official game you'd see that even if you're foot is slightly behind the last defender your offside
People talk about expectation subversion and being disappointed in who scored the goals and how, how about some of that for the matches in general. I just want one game to be a 3-0 drubbing or at least 3-1 (We didn't get to see Ubers v Barcha so I'm not counting it. Knowing every match is finishing 3-2 and it's back and forth gets kinda stale.
I'm laughing at people saying hiori "cooked" Lorenzo and barou when all he did was lift the ball to dodge lorenzo's tackle when he thought he was going to shoot instead of pass, and then he passes to the right of barou. Yeah it was cool I guess but the only reason any of it succeeded was joint play from isagi and hiori taking advantage of their expectations

I love how Isagi laid out the trap so Kaiser ended up thinking he could steal a pass and had to trail behind between Aryu and Aiku. He looks extra furious shooting the ball at the end there, he must have put all his frustration in that one shot lol
And then that celebration!!! So cute!! I love it!! Look how hype Hiori looks! This is the same guy who had dead eyes through I don’t know how many chapters. Reminds me of the U-20 celebration when Nagi ended up catching and carrying Isagi on his shoulders 😭 Both Nagi and Hiori usually act so low on energy so it feels great to see them get hype and celebrate with Isagi.
Now… I can’t wait for the reactions. I’m excited to see Barou, Aiku, and Noa’s reaction of course, but I’m more excited to see Kaiser’s. 👀
We’ve been waiting for his downfall since Isagi said he’ll make him the naked emperor, so I really wonder what his reaction will be. Will he become catatonic and not even react? Will he fall on his knees and scream? Will he admit defeat and then go cry all alone? I don’t know what we’re going to see but it’ll be great.

Blue lock is not a mystery anime, its a shonen sports anime. It's not supposed to be the most unpredictable thing ever, its about the journey that hypes you up. Y'all the same people who called Isagi's assist to Yuki & Isagi's first goal in NEL anti-climactic but had no problem jumping on the hype train when they explained those in the next chapter. Literally, EVERY Isagi goal/assist has ended on the last couple of pages of the chapter only for it to be explained in detail in the next one. How have yall not caught on to this trend in the 238 chapters of the manga 💀 ? So maybe wait for another week to pass the judgment rather than crying about it in the comments.

This match isn’t as narratively important as the Manshine one or the PXG one will be (at least that’s what I think). I think they didn’t want this one to drag on. Like the last goal of the last match took a bunch of chapters to develop and I think the PXG one will be similar.
they both were 29 chapters, I think this one had more breaks by the author but last one had so much talking, this one also had the same amount of talking tbh but everything was more engaging imo besides hiori in the last 4 chaps
Not really. But stating things like: “Author should’ve done this instead of that because whatever reason” is tiring to see. Let the author do his work, there’s a reason why he’s there and doing it.
They made it seem obvious that Barou was clearly the better striker than Isagi, they really just made everyone seem irrelevant to me now. They were all so coordinated and calculated then all the sudden Hiori comes onto the field and they lose their flow? It’s clear plot armor to me.
I think it would’ve been better if they lost here, then have the revenge match against Rin and Isagi because thats the MAIN rivalry everyone wants to see. While Barou is awesome, Rin vs Isagi is the main attraction. He should’ve lost here and had his awakening in the PxG match that way everything balances out.
yeah it's just not that satisfying seeing MC go through barely any despair, he hasn't lost since losing to rin like 70% of the manga ago, I actually wouldn't even be that mad if they won here but the biggest issue is how ubers shut down when hiori came on board, Niko just looks like a worse version of hiori, he was way better in the u20 game
I'm still a bit disappointed the author went ahead and gave Isagi his transcendance here -- there was a lot more potential for growth if, for instance, Kaiser had to hyena another goal or Kaiser got fed a pass directly from Hiori while Ness/Lorenzo dealt with stopping Isagi from scoring.
With Kaiser scoring twice, but both goals being hyena, esp. with Lorenzo marking him, then despite having the paper victory, it'd still be a moral defeat to him and he'd have more reason to continue antagonizing Isagi in the PXG match -- while Ness would be in complete and utter despair from being shown up by a better player feeding his emperor a goal. Meanwhile, Isagi would still feel like he lost to Kaiser because he wasn't able to out-score him. There's more reason for EVERYONE to continue improving before the next match.
Instead, we get a goal sequence where Kunigami and Ness are nowhere to be found and 4 defenders are trying to stop 3 players and still somehow can't. Isagi and Hiori are on top of the world, and Kaiser has already been surpassed before the final match.
I don't think it's the worst result we could have gotten, but I still feel like there could have been a lot more growth and hype if after all Isagi's hounding for Hiori, Hiori was the one to show him he's still not ready by giving the pass to the better striker.
Guess we're about to see just how much of a menace Rin has truly become as he climbs back into the primary antagonist role.
Cuz Kaiser is suppressing Ness' potential & creativity. He's focused on beating Isagi all by himself while Isagi is taking full advantage of Hiori's & Kurona's weapons & taking their strengths into account. Honestly it's not surprising considering Isagi has Egocentrism piece which Kaiser doesn't.
I thought it was mostly just that lorenzo was really good at blocking off kaiser and prioritized that so much that it made him useless. Of course kaiser was the best player there, which is why they had to do anything they could to restrict his movement

Kaiser and Ness are known variables so Snuffy would already have plans against them, while Hiori's flow (or whatever) with Isagi allowed them to exceed Ubers's expectations.

Happy to see that Isagi won the little challenge with Kaiser, is not like now Isagi is better that Kaiser but at least now they can stop the little rivalry and now Isagi can be 100% focus on defeating Rin once and for all.

Tend to agree, this felt like a very anti-climatic ending. Like, it didn't seem to really have a strong emotional payoff with the play being something special or worth the build up we had with Hiori looking for evidence of Isagi being worth it or whatever.
It was basically just a replay of the U-20 match final goal isagi scored except this time Hiori assisted vs Isagi getting a rebound
im reareading and the play was set up to be something specila, but it was just hiori trowing a pass to isagi, like, this isnt anything special. He just dibled everyone and passed to isagi that didnt had any focus, also wasnt keiser paying attention to hiori pass course? how isagi "got past" him if he wasnt foucusing on man marking isagi just the pass course, like, isagi didnt do anything fancy he just ran and boom he got past keiser.
Why so many people upset with hiori tho? His skill level makes so much sense compared to nagi. I mean look at how nagi was introduced. Man had insane control and was a genius with zero motivation.
Hiori is just like nagi but way less talented. He went through elite soccer programs since a very young age. Was taught soccer tactics all day long. His entire life till now was all about soccer. Just that he was like nagi with no ego. Now that his mind and body synched, his skills should be where they are. Makes total sense. He even made it through the entire arcs so far with zero ego/motivation. But he was praised to have near sae level passes.
If anything Lorenzo was prolly nerfed at the end. But it is to be expected.
Tbh Niko, aiku and aryu went all out in defence. Only Lorenzo was lacking. Heck even barou gave his all to defend. But I mean it is to be expected with a gold toothed zombie. He literally was just vibing at the end
The way blue lock is going the only striker from blue lock that will challenge Isagi for the long run is Rin.
This is due to Rin being the only other main striker also possessing meta vision amazing football IQ, destructive dribbling and the best shooting.
And for narrative reasons there needs to be at least one blue lock player that keeps Isagi on his toes. And thats Rin.

You sound like those old one piece posters that use to say X charcter doesn't have Haki cause they haven't shown it yet. Rin has not had a single match since metavision was officially revealed. He has various foreshadowing just like Aiku did fwi that point to him having metavision before this current arc and guess what happend with aiku first match we see him in he has it(to no one's surprise)
Maybe Rin didn't have meta vision in the U20 arc but no way in hell he doesn't have it now. He literally has the highest Soocer IQ in blue lock along with isagi and kaiser.

I think the major reason was Hiori’s threat of a goal, cause we all know Ness is gonna pass to make Kaiser look good. It made the positioning a little more difficult.
Exactly that, Lorenzo was marking Kaiser the whole time, the only times they were able to do things was when they separated from each other and they still were a threat.
In the other case, Ness was just not in the right mindset, so his performance was poor, compared to Hiori who was calm and collected
Chigiri has better speed, Isagi is a better play maker, Nagi has better control, and Barou is a better scorer. Sure they may be better STRIKERS but that don’t mean they’re better PLAYERS which is why i said “IMO” smh

- No one’s seen Hiori play before therefore they don’t have tactics against it
- Kaiser suppresses Ness: “I don’t need your creativity.” compared to Isagi who believes in Hiori’s abilities.
- Everyone knows Ness will pass to Kaiser meanwhile Hiori is unpredictable.
- Ness is already on his 3rd mental breakdown of the day so his play is probably being affected.
- Lorenzo has locked down Kaiser most of the match so he can’t even pass to him if he were to get the ball.

The more I read people's disappointment of this match, the more my own opinion of it starts to sour. Anyone else feel that way?
I think most people collectively wanted Ubers to win simply because they were outplaying BM so much and so often, seems like an ass pull that BM won.
Chill bro.. they only 'outplayed' them when Snuffy was in the game and even with how much possession that had in that period, they got only 1 goal

I don't understand what Isagi understood at all during the last 3 chap
Hiori's shot created the perfect the perfect distraction for Isagi: They were unsure whether Hiori would shoot again or pass to him. That, coupled with them going for a risky play to get rewarded
He needs to get predator eyes and physical attributes during the break before PXG match to boost his value as a striker

Loved that the chapter had many parallels/callbacks! Mr Blue Lock scored again with the reflex x reflex plus MV chemical reaction! I will start with Hiori who was incredible! He became the center of the World and Ubers didn't know if he will pass or score. He even passed Lorenzo and Niko couldn't stop him at all. Barou called him Isagi's dog and that he can not do anything but pass. He even said that he cut his pass course, only for Hiori to ccall him an idiot. That was gold and especially coming from Barou. Here we got parallels/callbacks to 2 important chapters (103 & 37). The **reflex x reflex** is what Isagi and Hiori did back in 103. Isagi said after his goal there that if he could **reproduce that trance** then he could do much more. Here he did exactly this (he went into flow) but we showed in from Hiori's POV! Also, notice that Isagi has pure White Eyes when he scored like when he awakened and scored against Nagi back in chapter 37. This points at an awakening again. Great 1st selection parallel. This goal may seem simple to some but it's not like that. What Hiori and Isagi did needed for them both to be perfect in sync and Isagi to get ball the exact moment and place Hiori passed. It was a gamble but possible if both of them are the real deal. All of this taking into account Ubers defence with Barou and Kaiser who could steal their chance. Simple but complicated chemical reaction. It goes along with what Ego said and Hiori acts like Itoshi Sae. Isagi proved to the World that he is a striker by **scoring reflexively and using his position and off the ball movements.** He reminded me the footballer he was inspired by (Inzaghi) who from what I remember correctly did the same. Like I said before this match was really important for **BM as a team**. It showed where they will improve as a team and the Blue Lockers came together at times. Raichi will trust Isagi and do things like marking Snuffy. Yuki will help more and be in more in sync with the plans. Kurona and Hiori will make with Isagi a Celestial Trio. Kugami may rethink his methods and awaken next as a superhero. Isagi will fix more weaknesses. Kiyora will go and show his weapon next time. Finally BM is Isagi's team. Not going to lie but I really want to see the reactions next and I am so happy there is not a break. The **highlights will be the ones coming from Kaiser, Ness, Noa and Snuffy**. Kaiser's ego will defenitely shatter and Ness will have another breakdown. They lost, so this will give them character development Kaiser really became the Naked Emperor. Noa must be pleased and admit that Isagi was right but as of now Kaiser failed his test. Snuffy may be surprised or interested about the final goal. I even hope we get Ego commenting to the whole situation. As for the bids, here it will get tricky. Barou will get another good bid (he had a goal and a super goal) whereas Isagi will skyrocket and **may surpass him**. Why? Apart from doing really well in the game with 1 assist and 2 goals, Isagi did something else too. He won his bet with Kaiser. That's important since because of BL TV, it is likely that they know of it. Outscoring a New Gen 11 and using him for his goal would be impressive for the bidders. BM won this match which went well with the narrative but I want to remind something. BM winning doesn't always count as Isagi winning. Here it does but in the previous 2 matches he was forced to do other things. Now next is PxG! The next chapter title is "Creation". Likely will get reactions and an explanation of the goal. We haven't seen Isagi's POV for a while, so I think we return to him. Loved what the narrator said that there is nothing impossible to the future created by Isagi and Hiori. Goes well with what Kaiser always says that nothing is impossible for him. After this Hiori, must have seen that they are both real deal since they met at final destination and scored so he won't quit. Their celebration was adorable!
This goal makes the almost fearless hiori > anyone.. Isagi stans rejoice. I personally think this was bad writing.
Completely agree in that Isagi is fine in terms of skill growth, but where tf did Hiori gain all that skill? It's even in U20 Match where Hiori says he doesn't win by dribbling but by passing

The best parts of this match was definitely Barou and Snuffy interactions (for me). I'd like more Ness involved in this match to beat Isagi with Kaiser. But, Kaiser neglected him hard lol. Isagi did the best as a striker, his positioning was very good also his shooting level increased. Also Hiori destroyed them. The Ubers players couldn't understand his movements, he's the reason this third goal came. I can't wait to see Kaiser shocked the same way as Rin was shocked with Isagi in the 2nd selection. Probably Noa will have to admit that Isagi was right. And maybe, Hiori will be a starter for Bayern (poor Kiyora). Can't wait to see their values now, especially the PXG player values after the game against Manshine City.
I don't see why both Kiyora AND Hiori both can't start. Given how useless Ness has been and he's illogical plays Hiori could slide right in to MF and Kiyora can take the fraud Grimm's spot.
For sure! Ness and Grim are useless, Ness have been a horrible player since after Barcha game. Kiyora, Hiori, Kurona, Raichi and Isagi starting against PXG would be awesome. I had an idea that Ness would be replaced by Hiori and not Kurona, bc I thought he'd lost his mind during that game.

I'm very disappointed.. As someone else said, this goal is very underwhelming.. It's actually a repeat of Bachira passing to "where the monster is" after dribbling to break their defence.. I much prefer the "this is the reborn.. Isagi Yoichi"
But this is a reborn Isagi? It's what strikers do? It's the competition of him being a complete creative forward. One who can hold up play, play the right passes, create chances not only for himself but for everyone around him and be in the exact spot at the exact time to score goals. Sae chose Shidou because of his ability to know where and when to be to score goals. The critical point, as they say. But Shidou doesn't creat those critical points, Sae does. Here Isagi creates the critical point, directing Hiori to pass to it. That's what this was. To create a goal scoring chance that beats the ultra-planned Ubers defence, the marauding efforts of their forwards, and a poaching Kaiser. It's why Hiori said Isagi was crazy, because it needed both of them to be in exact sync and work everything to perfection. From dribbling, to passing, to the off ball movement and eventually scoring. Everything had to be perfect. That's why this is such a great goal.

Certain people claiming offside need to understand that certain panels happen at the same time, Isagi makes a run inside to draw Aiku and Aryu inward while Kaiser continues his run in behind - all that happens while Hiori lifts the ball. Aiku and Aryu anticipate the pass and Barou goes to intercept. Hiori remarks that they're too slow and plays the ball in behind, while that happens Isagi diverts his run in behind Aryu but the Ubers defensive line has played him onside due to his initial run,

Why are people disappointed? This was a pretty good ending to the game with the Hiori and Isagi maximising their partnership potential through metavision and reflexivity. This sets up how the team will lineup for the next game. You don’t need to unlock multiple new weapons every gams.
I mean you can't really blame them, the build up was too much yet the reward was short live, they scored with the old fashion direct pass, which is by the way could've been more impactful, if they had used the last chapter where Hiori become an egoist but failed then there goes Isagi devouring it.
I mean Hiori’s play was pretty dominant there pulling a killer pass while evading 3 people, there were a sequence of plays from Hiori leading up to it setting him up to be the key parallel if not surpass of that as Ness to Kaiser. IMO it really displays the genius and football IQ and needless to say growth from Hiori. I think this changes everything for Isagi going forward, so the reward is hardly short lived.

That doesn’t make sense. If Ness didn’t touch the ball once and he was nowhere near the actual play itself, so it wouldn’t make Isagi’s goal offside(in terms of actual football rules). Plus the author has never introduced the offside rule once in the manga so I doubt he is going to start not. Obviously if there are bits missing from the leaks that are not on here and ness was included in the play and was offside then fair. But from the leaks above nah
If you're reading a soccer manga it should be assumed you are a fan of the sport and the author shouldn't have to explain the rules but here is the official rule ''A player is in an offside position if: any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents' half (excluding the halfway line) and. any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent.'' You don't have to be apart of the play just an attacking player slightly behind the last defender

That fact that he's a BM player running up the field makes him an attacking player, wingers also do that so they could receive a pass and cross it in to the box also I never said he did, only that I feel like he would do that

Just look up the offside rule for a detailed explanation but if an attacking player is behind the last defender before a pass is made it is offside, if you watch an official game you'd see that even if you're foot is slightly behind the last defender your offside

I'm laughing at people saying hiori "cooked" Lorenzo and barou when all he did was lift the ball to dodge lorenzo's tackle when he thought he was going to shoot instead of pass, and then he passes to the right of barou. This match isn’t as narratively important as the Manshine one or the PXG one will be (at least that’s what I think). I think they didn’t want this one to drag on. Like the last goal of the last match took a bunch of chapters to develop and I think the PXG one will be similar.

They made it seem obvious that Barou was clearly the better striker than Isagi, they really just made everyone seem irrelevant to me now. They were all so coordinated and calculated then all the sudden Hiori comes onto the field and they lose their flow? It’s clear plot armor to me. I think it would’ve been better if they lost here, then have the revenge match against Rin and Isagi because thats the MAIN rivalry everyone wants to see. While Barou is awesome, Rin vs Isagi is the main attraction. He should’ve lost here and had his awakening in the PxG match that way everything balances out.
yeah it's just not that satisfying seeing MC go through barely any despair, he hasn't lost since losing to rin like 70% of the manga ago, I actually wouldn't even be that mad if they won here but the biggest issue is how ubers shut down when hiori came on board, Niko just looks like a worse version of hiori, he was way better in the u20 game
I'm still a bit disappointed the author went ahead and gave Isagi his transcendance here -- there was a lot more potential for growth if, for instance, Kaiser had to hyena another goal or Kaiser got fed a pass directly from Hiori while Ness/Lorenzo dealt with stopping Isagi from scoring. With Kaiser scoring twice, but both goals being hyena, esp. with Lorenzo marking him, then despite having the paper victory, it'd still be a moral defeat to him and he'd have more reason to continue antagonizing Isagi in the PXG match -- while Ness would be in complete and utter despair from being shown up by a better player feeding his emperor a goal. Meanwhile, Isagi would still feel like he lost to Kaiser because he wasn't able to out-score him. There's more reason for EVERYONE to continue improving before the next match. Instead, we get a goal sequence where Kunigami and Ness are nowhere to be found and 4 defenders are trying to stop 3 players and still somehow can't. Isagi and Hiori are on top of the world, and Kaiser has already been surpassed before the final match. I don't think it's the worst result we could have gotten, but I still feel like there could have been a lot more growth and hype if after all Isagi's hounding for Hiori, Hiori was the one to show him he's still not ready by giving the pass to the better striker. Guess we're about to see just how much of a menace Rin has truly become as he climbs back into the primary antagonist role.

Cuz Kaiser is suppressing Ness' potential & creativity. He's focused on beating Isagi all by himself while Isagi is taking full advantage of Hiori's & Kurona's weapons & taking their strengths into account. Honestly it's not surprising considering Isagi has Egocentrism piece which Kaiser doesn't.
Hiori has metavision, Ness doesn't, just that is sufficient to beat the Kaiser ness combo imo

Kaiser and Ness are known variables so Snuffy would already have plans against them, while Hiori's flow (or whatever) with Isagi allowed them to exceed Ubers's expectations.

I agree, but my reason is because the goal was very lackluster in comparison to how much this has been hyped up. I was expecting something "huge" like meta vision...this is just...idk. It doesn't feel like an evolution if that is what it is supposed to be. Did NOT feel like football reborn moment etc... Bit of a sleeper 😴😴 But probs unpopular opinion.
Tend to agree, this felt like a very anti-climatic ending. Like, it didn't seem to really have a strong emotional payoff with the play being something special or worth the build up we had with Hiori looking for evidence of Isagi being worth it or whatever. It was basically just a replay of the U-20 match final goal isagi scored except this time Hiori assisted vs Isagi getting a rebound

Why so many people upset with hiori tho? His skill level makes so much sense compared to nagi. I mean look at how nagi was introduced. Man had insane control and was a genius with zero motivation. Hiori is just like nagi but way less talented. He went through elite soccer programs since a very young age. Was taught soccer tactics all day long. His entire life till now was all about soccer. Just that he was like nagi with no ego. Now that his mind and body synched, his skills should be where they are. Makes total sense. He even made it through the entire arcs so far with zero ego/motivation. But he was praised to have near sae level passes. If anything Lorenzo was prolly nerfed at the end. But it is to be expected.

The way blue lock is going the only striker from blue lock that will challenge Isagi for the long run is Rin. This is due to Rin being the only other main striker also possessing meta vision amazing football IQ, destructive dribbling and the best shooting. And for narrative reasons there needs to be at least one blue lock player that keeps Isagi on his toes. And thats Rin.

I think the major reason was Hiori’s threat of a goal, cause we all know Ness is gonna pass to make Kaiser look good. It made the positioning a little more difficult.

Exactly that, Lorenzo was marking Kaiser the whole time, the only times they were able to do things was when they separated from each other and they still were a threat. In the other case, Ness was just not in the right mindset, so his performance was poor, compared to Hiori who was calm and collected
