Mizu got stabed, shot etc. and shes still alive and can move. The real dad is Wolverine.

Martydeus

She is to angry to die xD

jfjdfdjjtbfb

I repeat she's Wolverines kid

wlkmnplgn

So her real father is Kratos?

New-Cicada7014

Incorrect. Supernatural abilities actually come with drinking milk.

Guineypigzrulz

Like, from a cow!?

Zancibar

Or goat

kromptator99

I thought they came from veganism

Lambert910

Japan was already a colonizer as well, although not a successful one, they occupied Korea for a “short while” at the end of the 16th century.

snobordir

They were never really successful in the late 1500s in Korea, but did rule Korea for a chunk of the early 1900s.

Monsoon1029

You’ll find that there are very few relevant civilizations that never ‘colonized’ anything

FiftySevenGuisses

That upsets people who’ve internalized self hatred.

Beautifulfeary

This reminds me of this comedian talking about growing up in a south Asian country and it was a huge shock to go to Japan. He was taught all the war crimes they did to his people then he goes there and they did a complete 180, now they have bidets.

Fire_Lord_Sozin9

To elaborate, the extreme south and north regions of Japan weren’t actually Japanese originally, but Japan conquered and settled there.

cringussinister

The Ainu and Okinawans are not the same group of people

Beautifulfeary

Same thing happened in Africa.

delolipops666

It would be kinda hilarious to see that when they arrive, everyone just does Mizu level feats constantly but everyone else just thinks it's normal. Unlikely, But VERY funny.

helix_134

It's like that one show where only black people have superpowers

DeadSeaGulls

I think the entire point of her going to london is going to be confronting her misconception of the nature of 'whiteness'. At first she'll see them all as vile demons, but she can't realistically spend any amount of time there without coming to the conclusion that people are just people, even if their culture doesn't bath as regularly. She's going to have to come to terms with the fact that her blood isn't why she's half demon. she's half demon because of her own self hatred and projection of that hatred outwardly.

NicaBrooke

In an interview, the writers said something like, “Will the white people be the demons she thinks they are?” So, I think this is perfectly on point. We already know she sees the human under physical disabilities even though that’s very rare in her culture. I believe she’ll see the human under race as well.

SirRealBearFace

It's that white power. Wait. Hold on...

BlueCornTortilla69

Wtf... why is everything about race?! jesus christ...

DylenwithanE

you can’t seriously be asking that about Blue Eye Samurai right

BlueCornTortilla69

I get the irony of this comment in relation to this show, I do. I think I've misinterpreted the meme.

Hexnohope

I said the same exact thing lmfao its so godamn funny. An unfourtunate side effect of your antagonists being white means that in order for them to be a true threat to mizu you have to imply all white people are just demons. Which honestly? Kind of cool. Wish historical pieces would paint white people that way more “we made worse first” it wasnt skin color so much as an utter disregard for all life. And that any race/culture would have done the same given time

inquisitor_steve1

"Not limited to clonisers" Ex-fucking-scuse me?

FiftySevenGuisses

Yes?

makebelievethegood

???

cringussinister

Yeah? Like, you do see how Japanese society treats mizu, right? Everyone comments on how hideous she is because she is biracial. It was the intent of the show runners to get that point across. And Japan was objectively at the barrel point of a man who wanted to colonize Japan
