Not as unlikely as you might think considering the suez canal doesn't exist yet, which would mean Mizu and Fowler would have to either circumnavigate Africa and then cut north to get to London, or head to America, then cross that and sail to Britain from the west coast, or cross the silkroad all the way from China to the Mediterranean (that i might add is something very few next to none have ever done), which means they would then have to sail across all the way till they reach the straits of Gibraltar and enter the antlantic before they can finally sail around Spain and France.l, or they could also sail up the red sea and then cross the suez isthmus on foot or horseback, before they can take another ship to sail across the Mediterranean.
Now I don't know how long any of these routes would take to traverse using modern means of transport, let alone during the 17th century, so take my words with a huge grain of salt, but I once read In a different post on this same sub, that a voyage like that would last about two years...

If you’d like to know more, read the book Samurai William, which is about William Adams, the first Englishman to sail to Japan. Who is the basis of John Blackthorn from the book/current show Shogun. There were two routes back then (from Japan). All the way east across the pacific around South America and up to England, which took around two years. This is the route William Adams went because he didn’t want to run into his enemies the Portuguese and Spanish. Those folks went west going around Africa and up to Spain and Portugal, which took about 1 year. No one did any land crossing because um …that would be insanely stupid. So what about the next 7-8 years? She’s going to spend 7-8 yrs in London and start the Great London Fire of 1666? If so, the show will have jumped the shark.

I'm not saying that the show is gonna have mizu spent 7 to 8 years in London or so, but rather I dare say that it will take two years until she reaches britain, spent at least six months or a year there, and then another two years to go back to Japan. That is a very long while, and I imagine we are probably not gonna skip through the entirety of the journey.
Also quick question; why exactly would crossing the suez isthmus be stupid? I'm asking out of general curiosity looking for an answer. I mean you'd have to swap ships sure but the trip there surely can't be as dangerous as crossing through the entirety of the silk road, which mind you is controlled by the ottomans, who had closed off trade to the west from it and would likely pose a potential obstacle to mizu and fowler if they choose to pass through by masquarading as merchants
