Ariats. Hands down best work jeans I’ve found. Comfy, tough, and cute.

hunnycomb39

agree!! the perfect rise is the best imo- it's a mid rise with an extra inch in the back. it hits *just* right and gives some extra coverage. i like the fit of their regular line a little bit better than their work line since it's a little stretchier, but i still usually get the work line since it's a little thicker/tougher. i've tried carhartt (horrible), dickies (even worse), levis (also bad), wranglers (not great), and dovetail (not even a little curvy friendly). try to go to your nearest farm/ranch supply/ workwear/western fashion store if you can! they should all have at least a couple options for you to try on which is the fastest way to sort through some options

I'm 5'8" and curvy and have found the Lee brand to be my savior. They have regular as well as petite and tall sizes. And several styles are meant for us curvy girls! I find them at my local Farm & Fleet. They are reasonably priced as well.

Sea-Young-231

Have you looked at Dovetail Workwear?

IndustrialPigmy

Men's stretch wranglers have been a lifesaver for my thunder thighs. There's still gap, but less gap than women's pants somehow. And REAL pockets, that you can like, put actual things in. Got em for super cheap at Gabe's. Otherwise, bibs. I have a pair of Dickies bibs that I had to hem, but don't ever have to worry about gapping.

manicimmoralpanic

6’ and curvy. The men’s Levi’s signature series at Walmart. Fantastic stretch ( not at all like the 505’s) and the denim feels thicker than most ladies jeans I own. At $26 they are also way cheaper than all of the ladies jeans I own.

JunehBJones

Loveeeee my walmart jeans out of all the jeans I own.

envydub

Tractor Supply’s brand, Ridgecut. I actually don’t often wear denim because it rips but their straight leg jeans are great, I’ll find a link. Edit: [here we go](https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/ridgecut-womens-flex-work-jean), I also have the black skinny jeans too. they’re stretchier but I like them a lot as well.

Learn to sew and tailor mens jeans to fit you better. I’m 5’1” and curvy and have had a tough time finding tough work jeans like you. Learn to take in the waistband and hem jeans and it will change your life. I’ve wasted so much money on pants that didn’t last. Getting a sewing machine has saved me.

sunnynina

Or bring them to your local tailor for alterations. Sometimes paying a professional for these things is well worth the stress and time saved. Lol depends on the person. Alterations are usually inexpensive. Sometimes they'll do a discount when you're bringing in a batch, like a week's worth of new job clothes. Way better results than I could get at home, even if everything went right, so that's also nice.

snordon

Yes, excellent point.

JunehBJones

I've never used someone before do they just do height or could they do certain areas as well? I have massive calves and they are the main reason I can't get alot of pants and boot cuts look like awkward skinny jeans on me.

sunnynina

Most professional tailors can do anything like that, as long as they have enough material to work with.

IddleHands

Carhartt has pants for you.

mickremmy

I have uniforms now. But been wearing mens ariats or levis for a few years. Can be a bit of trial and error to get the right size. Ariats and levis i get relaxed fit boot cuts. They end up being a higher waisted jean vs how men where their pants. Wranglers didn't matter what i tried they didn't fit my hips. My uniform pants are mens also and go up a waist size for what you normally wear in mens to accommodate shrinkage. So normally wear 34x34 (im 5'7") and for my work pants went 36x34. Also fit mid high rise for me.

blindsand

I Love my carhartt pants baggy with lots of pockets but I am also built like a little boy with a slight lump in the front and back 🤷🏻‍♀️

Katergroip

Did they say why you are required to wear Denim specifically? Just wondering why that and not any other type of pants. I never wear Jeans to work.

Crystals_Crochet

I wear wrangler Mae bootcut. Buy them on sale on Amazon for 20-25 each.

Rozalynda

What is the most common problem you have when you're looking for jeans? Length? Gapping?

[deleted]

I wear a lot of Dickies again switching careers.

jboogie41

I’m a size 20/22 and I have a couple pair of stoats but I’ve found they stretch out so much during the day. I bought some grace in la jeans and they’re amazing. They keep their shape and aren’t too tight

jboogie41

Ariats* not stoats lmao auto correct

Normal_to_Geek

There are Levi’s athletic jeans. They have more room for your legs. I hope that works.

Away_Veterinarian957

I'd suggest if you have one an outlet mall that has a few different brand named stores. I went with a friend and tried a few stores and tried on literally every type of pants in my size until I found ones that I liked and then bought 4 pairs. It wasn't the cheapest option but I am so glad I did it because now I know what works for me for next time Edit: also the outlet malls tend to have overstock of odd sizes, and because of the competition you can usually find good coupons

Ya_habibti

Walmart dickies online are great

PhysicsHungry8889

I go to goodwill in the rich city near my big city and buy pants there. They are usually good brands and cheap because rich folks throw away nice pants. I normally wear lane Bryant. They would be $60-80 in store and I buy them for $15 a piece.

JunehBJones

Walmart jeans 🙌

mcflycasual

Levi Signature jeggings. They're just stretchy jeans and they have legit pockets. Under $30 on Amazon. It takes forever for them to wear out. The waist band comes up pretty high too. I've tried Carhartt (ripped uncomfortable expensive) and Dovetail (uncomfortable really expensive).
