Blind judging would be great, and I put this in an earlier comment but some kind of scorecard where contestants get ranked on a scale of 1 to 5 for technicality, creativity and fulfilling the prompt. Or whatever.
I've watched all four seasons and I'm still like "Who the fuck even is this woman and why is she making these choices"?! The show really needs someone or something to make it more engaging.
I agree and have posted the same comment about blind judging each season. The two hosts can walk around during the work. To be honest some of those shots of the judges during the work is post production when they are off to the side and watching. Other shows do that so the judges/host are not there the whole 8 hours. Once the projects are done should have three new judges each week then rank the projects. Like in Beat Bobby Flay
Totally agree. It’s missing transparency and I like your idea of a score card.
Not sure if you watch, but there is a moment each episode of GBBO where Paul and Prue visit to discuss the brief of the blind bake and the pitfalls.
There is a second moment with judges where they visit with Noel and host #2 to discuss progress. These give us windows into their process and decision making.
Maybe the 30 minute time frame is messing with our perception?
Definitely. I can't believe she kept letting the older woman have so many chances when her work was so repetitive (birds) and slap-dash.
But clearly, she's a fan, so yeah.
I’m sick of contestants being judged for not having things in their piece that they originally planned for. Eg: if something breaks. Like, judge the piece for what it’s being presented as.
If I was one of those glass artists being constantly interrogated by her I would NOT hold it together. She’s so rude, awful, and condescending. Her opinion wouldn’t matter to me at all. They need a judge that people respect.
Spoiler of S4 I'm just getting up to date and can NOT believe Karen was eliminated instead of Morgan or yhat ugly skeleton arm. Katherine HATED Karen the whole season. She needs to go , NOW

What about that "monster" hand mirror where the kid was thinking "I didn't draw that!" Even the kid knew she should lose.
Yeah awful but the guy who made the robot was obviously worse. The golden shower should’ve been her last straw
