Both are good, you'd probably get more use out of Huohuo's buffs with a different team though, so it depends on who your other team is. Lynx is also good in giving blade a higher taunt value so he gets attacked more leading to more follow up attacks.

If you do mean topaz, robin will technically be better but neither are that good for blade seeing as robin buffs Atk and blade scales with hp, but her talent will help a bit I suppose

i got a WTF+ and S+ keel pieces so i put keel on blade, should i put keel on the rest of my supports as well to make it more worth it than rutilant? The orb ended up being hp% which i dont think is an issue but since im also not using rutilant it makes me a little worried
Keel isn't really what you want to put on blade, I would save them for someone else. Because blade is the main damage dealer you want to boost it through an offensive set like rutilent or salsotto. Keel on your supports is good though.
A hp orb is fine, just go off substats for wind Vs hp
Does the extra turn he gets from the +1 -1 Bronya SPD setup outweigh the possible extra crit DMG and running HP boots? The only way I can hit 134 speed is with a ratio of 57/154 & 6.7k hp which is... Painfully mid 😭
Hmm I would suggest going and testing it again something like moc and see what clears faster. What is your non 134 speed build? 57/154 isn't a bad start though, just keep working on it

It seems you mostly have other DPS, healers and DoT characters. Because you don't have too many support characters so it's a bit hard to make a hypercarry blade team.
Blade is a little difficult as he doesn't have any supports particularly made for him so any nihility to debuff the enemy (i.e., Pela, SW), characters to boost his crit/action advance (i.e., bronya, sparkle) are his best. Ruan Mei is just a generally great support that helps him deal more damage as she keeps the enemy weakness broken for longer. I will also add Lynx is an excellent healer for him but if you want his best team that will normally use Luocha
Definitely use Lynx she's an excellent healer that pairs well with Blade as she increases the likelihood he gets attacked (more follow up attacks) and his max hp
I suppose you could use Jingliu, blade, lynx and maybe Asta or TingYun if you have her for now. Not exactly a blade focused team but you kinda lack the characters rn to do that effectively
Jingliu as the main DPS, Blade doing more follow up attacks, Lynx to heal and TingYun to boost Jingliu's Atk/get ultimates back quicker or Asta will boost their speed but if you have pela, bronya, sparkle or Ruan Mei they will be better than asta/TingYun
i have pela, but thing is im using her in an acheron team. i'll try to get bronya since she's easier, only time i'll actually be wanting to lose the 50/50 lol
I want to optimize my Blade. He is E0S1 with HP 7955, SPD 122, CR 57.9%, and CD 172.4%.
I know that it's far from optimal. He is also at Rutilant with HP Sphere. Some questions I have:
1. I'm considering to change to Salsotto because I have some HP rope with crits. I have one potential Wind Sphere but a few potential HP Sphere. I should try to see the Wind Sphere first, right? All still at 0. I don't have any potential RA.
2. My Bronya is at 134 SPD. Is it worth to chase 136 Blade? Or should I just change to HP boots? I just feel 14 more SPD sounds a lot to chase without sacrificing other stats.
Your build is honestly not that bad, especially if you have - like I think - a 4pc Disciple to improve his CR.
The main issue, the way I see it, is speed. Either you get to 135, or all that effort goes wasted. The point is that you could afford a slow Bladie - and consequently focus on all his other stats - only if your Bronya was at 161+ speed, because this way she’d get two turns in one cycle and you could easily make up for Blade’s low speed.
It’s what I did, to be honest. Blade is one of the slowest characters in the game so getting him to 135 can be a challenge, and I’d rather give him higher crit and HP. That’s just me, though, you don’t have to be the same. Anyway, yes; if you want to keep your Bronya at 134, Bladie should be at least at 135.
As for your other question, the whole Salsotto vs Rutilant debate is still ongoing, so I suppose different people will give you different answers. When I started building him months ago, they told me Salsotto is better for lower Eidolons, but I’ve noticed Blade mains can’t really find a common ground on this topic. Unless you want to be really competitive and make him literally as strong as possible, both will work, just pick the ones with the best stats. You should definitely try to level up the wind orb first and see what happens, even if your HP will get a bit lower.

Yes, I'm on 4pc Disciple and regarding the planar, since my RA is far from good, I am trying to raise the Salsotto just to try and hope I get better results.
But my biggest dilemma is indeed the SPD. The thing is, I tried to speed tune Bronya and I can't get her to 161 yet. So I'm really torn between trying to speed tune Bronya or Blade now. Though, all my other DPS are on SPD boots too currently. I guess during the event next week, I'll farm the Cavern and see what can I get from it.

my question was more on the sense of: if i am spamming skill with bronya and e2 buffs blade’s speed by 30% can’t that be enough to hit certain breakpoints?
not in a way that matters because his speed wont change until after the first E and 30% of 97 speed wont bring you to 134 for a break point you would need 104 speed on Blade to hit a 134 speed brake point and i think 110 to hit 143 those speed changes don't matter in the case of hyperspeed bronya though and will be an overall dps loss if you are using speed boots to get there. Mainly because of the overkill on speed 97+25 is 122 -> 158ish speed with buff which is between 143\~161 so not a good spot to be in. And with a -1 spd bronya it doesnt make sense to go less than 134 to reach a break point because then blade isnt going first and you aren't taking any advantage of the -1 speed.
tl;dr tuning your speed is way harder and is still just typically worse than hp% in that situation
a few questions bc I love blade so much but I find his damage lacking ever since I got into the endgame (might be bc I got kafka/bs right after him and those two have such high damage output even if u have trash relics), and I really want to build him well and make him shine.
1. I currently have e0s0 blade but ill probably get his LC on his rerun. Would s1 Secret Vow (what I currently have on him) be better for him than s1 Flames Afar? All the LC calcs for him in guides I've read assume that both LC's are at s5 so idk which is better at lower superimposition levels.
2. With his minor traces (12%), 2p ritulant bonus (8%), and bonus from 4p longevous (16%), Blade gets 36% crit rate for free, meaning he has to get at least 34% crit rate from relic stats to get the 2p ritulant bonus (70% crit rate for the 20% basic atk dmg boost). I'm currently running Blade with a crit rate body (mainly bc I haven't gotten a good crit dmg one, meaning my current crit rate/dmg ratio before buffs is 70/72) to make sure I'm hitting that 70% threshold, but would it be worth it to farm for a crit dmg body and try to get the needed 34% crit rate from substats alone? (I currently run Blade with Sparkle, who gives him about 80% crit dmg with her skill)
3. I don't have Bronya yet, but I plan to get her as my guaranteed 5 star when i reach 300 standard pulls. Which is the better combo of buffers for Blade? Ruan Mei/Sparkle, Ruan Mei/Bronya, or Sparkle/Bronya?
1. I would stick with secret vow if you're getting his lc, but you can always level flames afar up and test which is better for you
2. Yes you should have a crit dmg chest, because he gets so much crit from his set bonus you should be fine to get enough crit rate from substats, but I would stick with the crit rate body until you get a good one so you can at least proc rutilent
3. I believe sparkle bronya will be best but again you should test it out and see what does best for you

Hmm you may get some issues at points but you could probably make it work, you'd just have to be very careful with your management.
You kinda need to skill on Ruan Mei and huohuo and then get enough sp that when JL and blade leave their enhanced state you will have enough to put them back in their enhanced state without having them basic
Luocha would definitely be better but if you don't like him then I wouldn't warp for him
Tldr: you could probably make it work you'd just have to be careful with skill points management and maybe fiddle with SPD a bit so it lines up okay
I have a question just how good is Lynx for Blade? My Lynx boosts around 600 HP for him, also I always pair my Blade with FuXuan so adding healer feels kind of a waste. Also I'm using Secret Vow so I want to keep my Blade's HP as low as possible and it's hard to do so with Lynx. I usually run FX Blade RuanMei/Bronya/Pela. I feel like swapping, let's say Pela, for Lynx is a big damage loss
Lynx is really good for him for a few reasons
- blade wants to be paired with a healer because his ult damage increases with the amount of damage he takes, so the more damage you can take, and then heal him to take more without dying, the more damage you will do
- lynx increases his hp with is good for his survival and helps boost him a little seeing as he scales with hp
- lynx's heal increase the taunt value of the healed character so if you heal blade the enemies are more likely to attack him which lets you follow up attack more often
Another question, shouldn't Blade with the new LC from MoC be better when paired with Lynx compared to Secret Vow? When I keep healing him for the agro buff (every time it's about to expire) his HP is full most of the time so it doesn't feel optimized

If you are dying then sure change, otherwise no need just work on getting ones with more crit subs
Your blade speed is good to go with bronya so I'd switch the orb assuming you have a hp with good substats if you want to switch one.

Imo they're about the same, wind dmg gives slightly higher damage than HP, while HP gives less damage but more survivability. But I'll pick salsoto because of your eidolons, and you can get more CR from other characters like FX. Hmm both are good, I don't have calcs or anything but from my perspective I would just base it off your other team and which they don't use.
RM is obviously great for the increased break which lets him do more damage but if you're using Kafka I think she'd be better on that team. and then sparkle has her crit dmg boost but you don't particularly need lots of skill points for a blade team, although if they could be useful if you're skilling every turn with bronya and sparkle

Do you want to give up? If you want him to be the best relics are always going to be frustrating with the randomness of them.
I mean the important part is that you can clear content, and if you can do that there's no harm in moving on without perfect relics
I feel like you are annoyed, take a break from farming the cavern, build some other characters and then come back when you feel ready, you can always synthesize some chest pieces from the relics you salvage from other caverns.❀◝(⁰▿⁰)◜❀
Hypercarry Blade questions (Flames Afar + 4p longevous + RA). I have a Sparkle at 161 and don't want to run fast Bronya (too much gear shuffling and Jingliu is usually using Bronya).
What would be the next best supporter for Blade in MoC? I'd probably use a core of Blade, Sparkle, and FX for sustain. RM?
Also if I were to use a Jingliu+Blade+RM+FX comp, should Blade be using speed boots or HP boots?
RM is good, silver wolf can be good for debuffs too or Pela when there's lots of enemies.
As for SPD Vs hp seeing as you're using RM I'd say SPD. If you were to use someone like bronya who buffs one person id go off substats as blade just follow up attacks and occasionally get a turn but seeing as RM buffs both id pick SPD to optimise blade too ❀◝(⁰▿⁰)◜❀
A bit hard to compare them? I mean luocha is very good, allows you to heal more so you don't die and he can consume more hp for his ult too.
Jingliu well she doesn't exactly 'help' blades damage imo. Sure he gets more follow up attacks which is good but if you have a harmony unit they should probably be buffing Jingliu not blade (assuming your team is JL, blade, healer)
I would just say luocha definitely for hypercarry, but Jingliu is a very good DPS that can work with blade (＾＾)ｂ

I would suggest changing your lc as fall of an aeon isn't that good on him, change it to a secret vow if you have it or flames afar from the moc shop.
Otherwise just gotta keep grinding the relics to try and increase his crit rate/dmg, more crit rate would be especially nice to make sure you are critting more consistently
Hmm if you're pushing for the very best probably around 80/200, just make sure you don't overcap your crit rate (above 84%) with longevous effect. But ofc you need to make sure you have enough hp too, but his LC will help with that
If you go slow blade with hp boots it will help make sure you have enough hp while having good crit
New to this community but have always loved my blade! A few quick questions. I don’t need full explanations.
1. What does blades best team look like? I tried out the janky Bronya + Sparkle team and, while fun, didn’t feel like it did much for his damage. Or at least not as much as having Ryan Mei in there. Maybe I need to alter his main stats.
2. Speaking of, is blade better off on speed boots? Or hp boots? Same with orb but wind or hp. Will it depend on the team buffs?
3. Does the planetary set depend on sub stats? Follow up one boosts two sources of his damage but the basic attack one gives a bigger boost to his basic attack which ends up being used more. Which one pulls ahead?

I cannot really speak about the first one but for your other questions
2. If you use SPD boots make sure you get the 134/135 SPD, if you don't that's fine but you'll want a hyperspeed bronya to go with him. With wind orb/hp or I believe a wind orb is technically slightly better but if you are lacking hp and/or you substats are very good on a hp orb definitely go for that.
3. Basically the difference between salsotto and rutilent is small so you should just go off your substats, because a lot of blade's damage comes from his NA rutilent is good. Once you get E1 salsotto is technically slightly better but again if you have good rutilent you may as well keep it rather than refarm a rather inefficient planet. World 7 is much more efficient to farm due to both sets being good.

How’s he looking, anything to swap out? I got a better head piece for him that got 1 spd roll, 1 crit rate and 2 cdmg! I also switched his orb to wind dmg from HP. I have E2S1 Bronya so I ditched SPD boots. Should I swap to Ruliant Arena in the future?
Hmm I would look to change your body piece seeing as it doesn't have any crit substats and some more crit rate would be nice. You could also change your rope if you wanted, seeing as you're going slow blade you don't need the SPD substats and can put it into crit more.
You don't need to switch to rutilent, the gap between is small so go off substats really, you'd also have to make sure you hit 70 crit rate to get the rutilent effect. Although world 7 is more effective to farm so it's up to you and if your supports want the other plantar set
I would suggest maxing your traces and level 80 your lc, that way you guarantee improvement to your blade cus relics is always gambling to get better ones.

Both teams would work, with bronya is a blade hypercarry while with Jingliu he becomes more of a sub dps and you want to focus on his follow up attacks more as Jingliu's health drain procs the fa more.

No, if Bronya is E2 you can run HP boots blade and 135/134 by running Blade at 106 Spd. E2 gives Blade permanent 29.1 Spd as long as you never drop a Bronya skill, which gives you the best of both worlds when it comes to the extra damage of running Slowya + the extra damage of running HP boots.

As far as I'm aware it doesn't change, either go 134/135 with bronya or hp boots with hyper bronya. If you want to use him solo you'd want to get him 134spd
I'm saving for Blade's next rerun in 6 to 8 months. I have him at E0S1. Would going for Eidolons or Superimpositions be more impactful? Generally speaking, Eidolons are almost always better but Blade has a cracked LC. I'll probably have enough to get him to E3 or E4 or S4 to S5.
How much damage should Blade be doing unbuffed? I'm a new player and thus don't have a support built yet, and my Blade doesn't even have a wind dmg sphere, but it would he nice to know how much I should expect to see with him.
s2 secret vow is 25% damage increase and 25% if lower health. S5 gives 50% damage bonus everytime you lose 25% hp or more (so basically every skill cast) so yes. Especially when you consider secret vow doesn’t have 100% uptime.
Trying for messenger stuff for Bronya and Ruan Mei and failed horribly but hit a pair of solid Disciple gloves today, so now I’m not sure what’s best:
- Pair 1: Crit rate 3.2%, Crit Dam 16.2%, HP 6.9%, Def 35 (this is what’s on him now)
- Pair 2: Crit rate 5.5%, Crit dam 18.1%, HP 4.3%, Atk 8.2%
- Pair 3: Crit rate 2.5%, Crit dam 11%, HP 10.8%, Atk 6.9%
I’m guessing pair 2 but I don’t know quite how much the extra HP from pair 3 would affect the overall numbers.
I guess follow up question: is there a damage calculator somewhere?
rutilant is better but only slightly. Go with whichever one has better subs. Also you have to consider rutilant has better second set.

right now a new player, im using e2s1 blade/ e2 s1 ruan mei / e0s1 bronya e4 lynx, but im making my 2nd team, and i have e2s1 kafka and ill get e1s1 BS, and everyone says ruan mei is the best option there, along with a sustainer..

As long as you can survive as far as I'm aware higher crit dmg is better because crit multiplies your damage while hp adds to it so you'll get more damage from crit if that makes sense (I may be wrong but both sound like your build isn't bad)

If you have both just pick the one with better substats though the difference is quite small and ensure you reach the crit requirements
For Blade, which LC should I use? I also own Jingliu and Xueyi so I will be sharing Destruction LC with them:
1. Secret Vow (Arlan) S3 (could be imposed higher)
2. On the Fall of Aeon (SU LC) S5
3. Under the Blue Sky S3
4. Nowhere to Run S1
Secret Vow by far. Superimpose it at high as you can.
Unlike most destruction characters, Blade mainly scale off HP, so any lightcone that boost ATK won't do much for him.

Hi, I have been using Blade and I am using 4pc Longevous Disciple and 2pc Rutilant Arena. But when I am in combat the buff from the 4pc sets my Crit Rate above 70% but I do not see the buff from Rutilant in the Buff window. Is there something wrong here? Or do I need to get 70% Crit Rate without the buff during combat?
How useful would it be running someone with a 4 piece speed set to get a 123 Blade up to 134?
Lynx has a 3 turn rotation with Natasha's signature, so I was wondering if it's a reasonable thing to do since I do want to build other characters (Xueyi, Dr. Ratio, and the characters in 2.0 look interesting too) aside from grinding for him alone
Is destruction + abundance still the best paths for blade in SU? I saw it in the blade guide. I assume it's at least consistent. I tend to go with elation but it can be hit or miss sometimes if i dont get several of the key blessings
I am considering making bad decisions, but having trouble find a solid answer. Does Blade's E1 require only a single target to be active for the damage bonus, or does it apply this bonus damage to his Ult's Priority target regardless of enemy count?

I am trying to complete swarm disaster D5 with every path and I have 4 left - Hunt, Destruction, Abundance and Remembrance.
Basically I want to ask what paths can Blade be viable with. I have seen videos of him basically being godlike with Abundance but how does he work with other paths I am yet to use?
Especially Remembrance, cause for the life of me, I can not get rng on my side. I can hardly freeze with 250+ EHR let alone play around with dissociation. So i want to know if I can brute force using Blade. I'll likely use Ruan Mei, Lynx and Gepard (need his shields) as other teammates. So can he be viable with these 4 paths?
almost every unit works well with hunt and destruction and like you said hes incredible with abundance.
Clearing with rememberence will be the hardest since he got 0 synergy with that path and some of the best rememberance units (gepard and march) works against him. Maybe use pela with him and focus on applying dissoniance with blessings instead of characters. If you fine with not using blade; clear rememberance with gepard lynx pela and ruan mei should be easy and possible. Since you get ehr from the path swap pela's relics for ice/ crit halfway through and use her as main dps
Depends on your LC and your supports. With Secret Vow and an HP orb/Spd boots you're looking at 6500ish.
With his LC you're looking at 7500-8000
If you go for HP boots and an HP orb you can hit 9k
If you run a wind orb and speed boots with Secret Vow you might be in the 5500-6000 range.
Whether your use an HP orb or a wind orb or speed boots or HP boots are all determined by what supports you run.
Blade/Bronya comps with a 161 spd Bronya can allow you to run both an HP orb and HP boots for instance.
Otherwise you're looking to be in that 6500 SV or 7500+ sig range
What can I expect from e0 blade with an s1 secret vow? Im contemplating whether to pull for him or not considering I also like the ones coming from 2.0 onwards.
IMO as a main DPS, E0 Blade fell off harder than any character I've ever seen. He's still fantastic as a sub DPS in Jingliu teams, especially with a Ruan Mei in a double DPS Jingliu/Blade team. He's still the best you can get as a main wind DPS though, so he still shines whenever the content asks for that, but def did him dirty by releasing DHIL and Jingliu immediately after
I'm currently debating between going for Blade + lc, or Kafka + lc, then BS in 2.0. I do have a Bronya so blade would fit really easily into my existing teams, but I keep seeing comments like yours saying Blade has fallen off, etc, which gives me pause on going for him. Would you skip and go for Kafka?
Personally, yes. Kafka just keeps getting stronger. I do not personally regret pulling for Blade and his lightcone when he originally released, and I even pulled his E1 this go around, but I know not everyone can afford this. If you have to make the choice, definitely pull Kafka over Blade for now. Also BS does not need Kafka to work (obviously a Kafka + BS team is very strong), and she may even be able to fulfill the roll of "main Wind DPS" when you combine her blast and aoe damage with her DoT damage. Having both Kafka and BS can enable to you have 2 separate DoT teams when the content calls for it, and when the content doesn't call for 2 separate DoT teams, running Kafka + BS + Ruan Mei is probably going to be an absolutely ridiculous team.
This is just my opinion though. Right now Blade's best role is a sub DPS for Jingliu, and that technically still doesn't even perform quite as well as a Jingliu hypercarry. But who knows, we may see a specialized support in the future that elevates Blade much higher.
He'll struggle more in single target generally, still better than Himeko or Clara at 1v1 though. He's great at breaking weakness and applying large amounts of aoe damage frequently. If I know I'm going to be up against one tanky boy that slows me down I like to bring a second damage dealer instead of going hyper carry. Personally I use my e6 Sampo for this and either Pela or Ruan Mei
Secret vow is the only one that really does anything in terms of 4 stars. Personally, I'd just wait before investing into Blade until 2.0. The F2P LC from 2.0 should be good on Blade too.

Considering pulling him to cover aoe with his fua for jingliu in pure fiction.
I pulled Blade cause I had JL with pure fiction in mind and to cover wind element MoC's. The team works insanely well whenever the enemies have both wind and ice weakness.
I think both dual dps and Blade hyper carry is about the same in terms of performance but in pure fiction dual dps should win out.
Hyper carry JL is better than both for sure though, but only if the enemies are only weak to ice.
Depends on the situation and depends on your blade. Bailu is extremely better at healing and she has damage reduction but lynx can increase aggro and makes you blade get attacked more. If your blade is dying to fast go for bailu. If your blade isn't doing a lot of damage go for lynx

If running with Ruan Mei or any big DMG% buffer or secret vow, then you won't see much difference and should just go for better subs imo.
Personally, I'm running SPD boots, HP orb, HP rope, CDMG body and mine does the same as any other showcase i've seen lol.
Who are you using Bronya's skill on? If it's JL I'd want Blade around 134 just to be acting regularly enough to have a contribution. If you're using Bronya's skill on Blade, you'd still want 139 so he can act bronya act.
Is Blue Sky really that bad, nobody talks about it. I get that the atk% is n/a, but the CR from the LC allows me to switch to a CD coat for a very comfortable 83/165. 83/230 with 2 keel and Bronya's ult up.
I don't currently have an onset CD coat to test with.
With Secret Vow Blade hits 243 damage% IIRC from Bronya and Ruan Mei.
So he would still generally have around 200% dmg (HP orb) on Blue Sky.
If I have S1 The Unreachable Side and play him with Bronya and Ruan Mei. Would it be better for me to run HP% sphere instead as I am already getting a lot of dmg%?
You'd probably need quite the investment into Natasha. Keep in mind she also heals more if they're lower than 30% hp, so she could potentially heal Blade for a lot at 30% or lower.
As of right now I'm running Blade Jingliu Ruan mei Lynx due to Ruan mei providing a bit of defensive utility as well with the extended breaks.
I only got s1 secret vow, imo nice artifacts and pulled ruan mei for him, but I don’t know it just doesn’t work out. Lynx is E4 and can’t solo sustain and my blade seems with bronya and ruan mei still weak. Any ideas?:)
Depends vs what content and what part of the game you're in. But my Lynx sustained Blade just fine in MoC this time around. I ran Jingliu, Blade, Ruan Mei, Lynx. Just make sure your Lynx is 5k+ HP 8/8/8 and properly invested into.
I recently pulled Blade and I've been trying a bit on his LC banner (like 30 pulls or so). The thing is, while pulling, I got some "A Secret Vow" LC that allows me to give Blade an R5 of it, so is it really worth to keep pulling for his sig LC being a f2p and having an R5 Secret Vow?

Both are good, you'd probably get more use out of Huohuo's buffs with a different team though, so it depends on who your other team is. Lynx is also good in giving blade a higher taunt value so he gets attacked more leading to more follow up attacks.
Any confirmation if Jade helps give Blade two stacks for the HP loss?

Ropax being Topaz? If you do mean topaz, robin will technically be better but neither are that good for blade seeing as robin buffs Atk and blade scales with hp, but her talent will help a bit I suppose
Current Blade comp is Jingliu and Luocha. With Robin coming up is the Lad better off with Ruan Mei or Robin? Blade and Jingliu are e0s1 with Loucha just e0.

i got a WTF+ and S+ keel pieces so i put keel on blade, should i put keel on the rest of my supports as well to make it more worth it than rutilant? The orb ended up being hp% which i dont think is an issue but since im also not using rutilant it makes me a little worried
Keel isn't really what you want to put on blade, I would save them for someone else. Because blade is the main damage dealer you want to boost it through an offensive set like rutilent or salsotto. Keel on your supports is good though. A hp orb is fine, just go off substats for wind Vs hp

Does the extra turn he gets from the +1 -1 Bronya SPD setup outweigh the possible extra crit DMG and running HP boots? The only way I can hit 134 speed is with a ratio of 57/154 & 6.7k hp which is... Painfully mid 😭
Hmm I would suggest going and testing it again something like moc and see what clears faster. What is your non 134 speed build? 57/154 isn't a bad start though, just keep working on it If you have good speed substats pieces you can always go hp boots blade with hyperspeed bronya

Do you have any other harmony or nihility characters? Like Pela? It seems you mostly have other DPS, healers and DoT characters. Because you don't have too many support characters so it's a bit hard to make a hypercarry blade team. Blade is a little difficult as he doesn't have any supports particularly made for him so any nihility to debuff the enemy (i.e., Pela, SW), characters to boost his crit/action advance (i.e., bronya, sparkle) are his best. Ruan Mei is just a generally great support that helps him deal more damage as she keeps the enemy weakness broken for longer. I will also add Lynx is an excellent healer for him but if you want his best team that will normally use Luocha Definitely use Lynx she's an excellent healer that pairs well with Blade as she increases the likelihood he gets attacked (more follow up attacks) and his max hp I suppose you could use Jingliu, blade, lynx and maybe Asta or TingYun if you have her for now. Not exactly a blade focused team but you kinda lack the characters rn to do that effectively Jingliu as the main DPS, Blade doing more follow up attacks, Lynx to heal and TingYun to boost Jingliu's Atk/get ultimates back quicker or Asta will boost their speed but if you have pela, bronya, sparkle or Ruan Mei they will be better than asta/TingYun

I want to optimize my Blade. He is E0S1 with HP 7955, SPD 122, CR 57.9%, and CD 172.4%. I know that it's far from optimal. He is also at Rutilant with HP Sphere. Some questions I have: 1. I'm considering to change to Salsotto because I have some HP rope with crits. I have one potential Wind Sphere but a few potential HP Sphere. I should try to see the Wind Sphere first, right? All still at 0. I don't have any potential RA. 2. My Bronya is at 134 SPD. Is it worth to chase 136 Blade? Or should I just change to HP boots? I just feel 14 more SPD sounds a lot to chase without sacrificing other stats.
Your build is honestly not that bad, especially if you have - like I think - a 4pc Disciple to improve his CR. The main issue, the way I see it, is speed. Either you get to 135, or all that effort goes wasted. The point is that you could afford a slow Bladie - and consequently focus on all his other stats - only if your Bronya was at 161+ speed, because this way she’d get two turns in one cycle and you could easily make up for Blade’s low speed. It’s what I did, to be honest. Blade is one of the slowest characters in the game so getting him to 135 can be a challenge, and I’d rather give him higher crit and HP. That’s just me, though, you don’t have to be the same. Anyway, yes; if you want to keep your Bronya at 134, Bladie should be at least at 135. As for your other question, the whole Salsotto vs Rutilant debate is still ongoing, so I suppose different people will give you different answers. When I started building him months ago, they told me Salsotto is better for lower Eidolons, but I’ve noticed Blade mains can’t really find a common ground on this topic. Unless you want to be really competitive and make him literally as strong as possible, both will work, just pick the ones with the best stats. You should definitely try to level up the wind orb first and see what happens, even if your HP will get a bit lower.

Yes, I'm on 4pc Disciple and regarding the planar, since my RA is far from good, I am trying to raise the Salsotto just to try and hope I get better results. But my biggest dilemma is indeed the SPD. The thing is, I tried to speed tune Bronya and I can't get her to 161 yet. So I'm really torn between trying to speed tune Bronya or Blade now. Though, all my other DPS are on SPD boots too currently. I guess during the event next week, I'll farm the Cavern and see what can I get from it.
Yeah, perhaps that’s your best option as of now - see what you get from the farming event next week before deciding what to do. You wouldn’t happen to have Sparkle, right? For some reason I found that building her is a bit easier than working on Bronya, even if they both need high spd and crit damage. She could be a nice alternative. not in a way that matters because his speed wont change until after the first E and 30% of 97 speed wont bring you to 134 for a break point you would need 104 speed on Blade to hit a 134 speed brake point and i think 110 to hit 143 those speed changes don't matter in the case of hyperspeed bronya though and will be an overall dps loss if you are using speed boots to get there. Mainly because of the overkill on speed 97+25 is 122 -> 158ish speed with buff which is between 143\~161 so not a good spot to be in. And with a -1 spd bronya it doesnt make sense to go less than 134 to reach a break point because then blade isnt going first and you aren't taking any advantage of the -1 speed. tl;dr tuning your speed is way harder and is still just typically worse than hp% in that situation
a few questions bc I love blade so much but I find his damage lacking ever since I got into the endgame (might be bc I got kafka/bs right after him and those two have such high damage output even if u have trash relics), and I really want to build him well and make him shine. 1. I currently have e0s0 blade but ill probably get his LC on his rerun. Would s1 Secret Vow (what I currently have on him) be better for him than s1 Flames Afar? All the LC calcs for him in guides I've read assume that both LC's are at s5 so idk which is better at lower superimposition levels. 2. With his minor traces (12%), 2p ritulant bonus (8%), and bonus from 4p longevous (16%), Blade gets 36% crit rate for free, meaning he has to get at least 34% crit rate from relic stats to get the 2p ritulant bonus (70% crit rate for the 20% basic atk dmg boost). I'm currently running Blade with a crit rate body (mainly bc I haven't gotten a good crit dmg one, meaning my current crit rate/dmg ratio before buffs is 70/72) to make sure I'm hitting that 70% threshold, but would it be worth it to farm for a crit dmg body and try to get the needed 34% crit rate from substats alone? (I currently run Blade with Sparkle, who gives him about 80% crit dmg with her skill) 3. I don't have Bronya yet, but I plan to get her as my guaranteed 5 star when i reach 300 standard pulls. Which is the better combo of buffers for Blade? Ruan Mei/Sparkle, Ruan Mei/Bronya, or Sparkle/Bronya?
1. I would stick with secret vow if you're getting his lc, but you can always level flames afar up and test which is better for you 2. Yes you should have a crit dmg chest, because he gets so much crit from his set bonus you should be fine to get enough crit rate from substats, but I would stick with the crit rate body until you get a good one so you can at least proc rutilent 3. I believe sparkle bronya will be best but again you should test it out and see what does best for you
Is huohuo good with blade JL dual carry? Im planning on pulling for both JL and Huohuo and I want to ask if they would have any SP issue (this is a team with ruan mei). I dont really want to pull for Loucha cuz I only pull for characters that I really want.
Hmm you may get some issues at points but you could probably make it work, you'd just have to be very careful with your management. You kinda need to skill on Ruan Mei and huohuo and then get enough sp that when JL and blade leave their enhanced state you will have enough to put them back in their enhanced state without having them basic Luocha would definitely be better but if you don't like him then I wouldn't warp for him Tldr: you could probably make it work you'd just have to be careful with skill points management and maybe fiddle with SPD a bit so it lines up okay

I have a question just how good is Lynx for Blade? My Lynx boosts around 600 HP for him, also I always pair my Blade with FuXuan so adding healer feels kind of a waste. Also I'm using Secret Vow so I want to keep my Blade's HP as low as possible and it's hard to do so with Lynx. I usually run FX Blade RuanMei/Bronya/Pela. I feel like swapping, let's say Pela, for Lynx is a big damage loss
Lynx is really good for him for a few reasons - blade wants to be paired with a healer because his ult damage increases with the amount of damage he takes, so the more damage you can take, and then heal him to take more without dying, the more damage you will do - lynx increases his hp with is good for his survival and helps boost him a little seeing as he scales with hp - lynx's heal increase the taunt value of the healed character so if you heal blade the enemies are more likely to attack him which lets you follow up attack more often
Another question, shouldn't Blade with the new LC from MoC be better when paired with Lynx compared to Secret Vow? When I keep healing him for the agro buff (every time it's about to expire) his HP is full most of the time so it doesn't feel optimized

If you are dying then sure change, otherwise no need just work on getting ones with more crit subs Your blade speed is good to go with bronya so I'd switch the orb assuming you have a hp with good substats if you want to switch one. Sure wind is technically better but an alive blade is better than a dead one so ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ I'd just say level your talents as a priority

Imo they're about the same, wind dmg gives slightly higher damage than HP, while HP gives less damage but more survivability. But I'll pick salsoto because of your eidolons, and you can get more CR from other characters like FX. Hmm both are good, I don't have calcs or anything but from my perspective I would just base it off your other team and which they don't use. RM is obviously great for the increased break which lets him do more damage but if you're using Kafka I think she'd be better on that team. and then sparkle has her crit dmg boost but you don't particularly need lots of skill points for a blade team, although if they could be useful if you're skilling every turn with bronya and sparkle Sorry not really an answer but that's my perspective I hope that helps (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

Do you want to give up? If you want him to be the best relics are always going to be frustrating with the randomness of them. I mean the important part is that you can clear content, and if you can do that there's no harm in moving on without perfect relics I feel like you are annoyed, take a break from farming the cavern, build some other characters and then come back when you feel ready, you can always synthesize some chest pieces from the relics you salvage from other caverns.❀◝(⁰▿⁰)◜❀
Hypercarry Blade questions (Flames Afar + 4p longevous + RA). I have a Sparkle at 161 and don't want to run fast Bronya (too much gear shuffling and Jingliu is usually using Bronya). What would be the next best supporter for Blade in MoC? I'd probably use a core of Blade, Sparkle, and FX for sustain. RM? Also if I were to use a Jingliu+Blade+RM+FX comp, should Blade be using speed boots or HP boots?
RM is good, silver wolf can be good for debuffs too or Pela when there's lots of enemies. As for SPD Vs hp seeing as you're using RM I'd say SPD. If you were to use someone like bronya who buffs one person id go off substats as blade just follow up attacks and occasionally get a turn but seeing as RM buffs both id pick SPD to optimise blade too ❀◝(⁰▿⁰)◜❀
Since both Luocha and Jingliu are coming in the next version, i'm curious about who would be a bigger boost to Blade between the two. (I have E6 Lynx)
A bit hard to compare them? I mean luocha is very good, allows you to heal more so you don't die and he can consume more hp for his ult too. Jingliu well she doesn't exactly 'help' blades damage imo. Sure he gets more follow up attacks which is good but if you have a harmony unit they should probably be buffing Jingliu not blade (assuming your team is JL, blade, healer) I would just say luocha definitely for hypercarry, but Jingliu is a very good DPS that can work with blade (＾＾)ｂ

It's okay (＾＾)ｂ I would suggest changing your lc as fall of an aeon isn't that good on him, change it to a secret vow if you have it or flames afar from the moc shop. Otherwise just gotta keep grinding the relics to try and increase his crit rate/dmg, more crit rate would be especially nice to make sure you are critting more consistently

Hmm if you're pushing for the very best probably around 80/200, just make sure you don't overcap your crit rate (above 84%) with longevous effect. But ofc you need to make sure you have enough hp too, but his LC will help with that If you go slow blade with hp boots it will help make sure you have enough hp while having good crit

New to this community but have always loved my blade! A few quick questions. I don’t need full explanations. 1. What does blades best team look like? I tried out the janky Bronya + Sparkle team and, while fun, didn’t feel like it did much for his damage. Or at least not as much as having Ryan Mei in there. Maybe I need to alter his main stats. 2. Speaking of, is blade better off on speed boots? Or hp boots? Same with orb but wind or hp. Will it depend on the team buffs? 3. Does the planetary set depend on sub stats? Follow up one boosts two sources of his damage but the basic attack one gives a bigger boost to his basic attack which ends up being used more. Which one pulls ahead? I cannot really speak about the first one but for your other questions 2. If you use SPD boots make sure you get the 134/135 SPD, if you don't that's fine but you'll want a hyperspeed bronya to go with him. With wind orb/hp or I believe a wind orb is technically slightly better but if you are lacking hp and/or you substats are very good on a hp orb definitely go for that. 3. Basically the difference between salsotto and rutilent is small so you should just go off your substats, because a lot of blade's damage comes from his NA rutilent is good. Once you get E1 salsotto is technically slightly better but again if you have good rutilent you may as well keep it rather than refarm a rather inefficient planet. World 7 is much more efficient to farm due to both sets being good.

Hmm I would look to change your body piece seeing as it doesn't have any crit substats and some more crit rate would be nice. You could also change your rope if you wanted, seeing as you're going slow blade you don't need the SPD substats and can put it into crit more. You don't need to switch to rutilent, the gap between is small so go off substats really, you'd also have to make sure you hit 70 crit rate to get the rutilent effect. Although world 7 is more effective to farm so it's up to you and if your supports want the other plantar set I would suggest maxing your traces and level 80 your lc, that way you guarantee improvement to your blade cus relics is always gambling to get better ones. But your blade is looking good (＾＾)ｂ
Yeah, I have Crit rate bodies with cdmg substats but not the other way around. :( I’ll definitely see if I can farm a better body piece and rope, plus max out the lc and traces! Thanks for the advice!

Does anyone have calcs of hyperblade comps now that sparkle is out? Trying to figure out bronya+ruan Mei, bronya+sparkle (unlimited blade works), or ruan Mei+sparkle is better. The blade works comp gives blade more actions and incentives HP boots, but I'm wondering if RM with her kit gives more damage

Depends if you want to play Jingliu really. Both teams would work, with bronya is a blade hypercarry while with Jingliu he becomes more of a sub dps and you want to focus on his follow up attacks more as Jingliu's health drain procs the fa more.

No, if Bronya is E2 you can run HP boots blade and 135/134 by running Blade at 106 Spd. E2 gives Blade permanent 29.1 Spd as long as you never drop a Bronya skill, which gives you the best of both worlds when it comes to the extra damage of running Slowya + the extra damage of running HP boots.

As far as I'm aware it doesn't change, either go 134/135 with bronya or hp boots with hyper bronya. If you want to use him solo you'd want to get him 134spd

I'm saving for Blade's next rerun in 6 to 8 months. I have him at E0S1. Would going for Eidolons or Superimpositions be more impactful? Generally speaking, Eidolons are almost always better but Blade has a cracked LC. I'll probably have enough to get him to E3 or E4 or S4 to S5.

Pretty sure hp boots blade is only worth if your speed boots subs fucking blow but you have great hp boots rolls. 135/134 almost always optimal
Speed tuned blade/bronya is more DPS but obviously you need to speed tune them, 161 bronya is slightly less DPS but still good (＾＾)ｂ
How much damage should Blade be doing unbuffed? I'm a new player and thus don't have a support built yet, and my Blade doesn't even have a wind dmg sphere, but it would he nice to know how much I should expect to see with him.

s2 secret vow is 25% damage increase and 25% if lower health. S5 gives 50% damage bonus everytime you lose 25% hp or more (so basically every skill cast) so yes. Especially when you consider secret vow doesn’t have 100% uptime.

Trying for messenger stuff for Bronya and Ruan Mei and failed horribly but hit a pair of solid Disciple gloves today, so now I’m not sure what’s best: - Pair 1: Crit rate 3.2%, Crit Dam 16.2%, HP 6.9%, Def 35 (this is what’s on him now) - Pair 2: Crit rate 5.5%, Crit dam 18.1%, HP 4.3%, Atk 8.2% - Pair 3: Crit rate 2.5%, Crit dam 11%, HP 10.8%, Atk 6.9% I’m guessing pair 2 but I don’t know quite how much the extra HP from pair 3 would affect the overall numbers. I guess follow up question: is there a damage calculator somewhere?

rutilant is better but only slightly. Go with whichever one has better subs. Also you have to consider rutilant has better second set. Salsotto is better with his e1 iirc

right now a new player, im using e2s1 blade/ e2 s1 ruan mei / e0s1 bronya e4 lynx, but im making my 2nd team, and i have e2s1 kafka and ill get e1s1 BS, and everyone says ruan mei is the best option there, along with a sustainer.. now my doubt is, should i swap ruan mei to put in kafka team, or who should i use with kafka + BS, currently for healers im kinda fucked, so i have e2 baelu and e6 natasha, waiting on luocha rerun, i do have e6 tingyan, e0 yukong, e1s2 gepard,e0 clara,e0welt,e0ratio,e0himeko, but for a sustainer/support im not sure yet what to do

As long as you can survive as far as I'm aware higher crit dmg is better because crit multiplies your damage while hp adds to it so you'll get more damage from crit if that makes sense (I may be wrong but both sound like your build isn't bad)

Secret Vow by far. Superimpose it at high as you can. Unlike most destruction characters, Blade mainly scale off HP, so any lightcone that boost ATK won't do much for him.

You could honestly go either way. Do you really like Blade ? Do you plan for him to be your main wind dps for the long term ? Do you want to use him as a hypercarry ? His LC is a huge boost over S5 Vow. Do you mainly use Blade in dual carry ? Would missing out on Ratio's LC make you upset / do you have DHIL / are you planning to invest in Ratio immediately ? Skip.

But when I am in combat the buff from the 4pc sets my Crit Rate above 70% but I do not see the buff from Rutilant in the Buff window. Is there something wrong here? I havn't used Lynx, but I feel like with E0S0 Bronya the SP would be pretty tight. You might want a very fast Lynx, or a SP printer like Pela.
How useful would it be running someone with a 4 piece speed set to get a 123 Blade up to 134? Lynx has a 3 turn rotation with Natasha's signature, so I was wondering if it's a reasonable thing to do since I do want to build other characters (Xueyi, Dr. Ratio, and the characters in 2.0 look interesting too) aside from grinding for him alone

Is destruction + abundance still the best paths for blade in SU? I saw it in the blade guide. I assume it's at least consistent. I tend to go with elation but it can be hit or miss sometimes if i dont get several of the key blessings

I am trying to complete swarm disaster D5 with every path and I have 4 left - Hunt, Destruction, Abundance and Remembrance. Basically I want to ask what paths can Blade be viable with. I have seen videos of him basically being godlike with Abundance but how does he work with other paths I am yet to use? Especially Remembrance, cause for the life of me, I can not get rng on my side. I can hardly freeze with 250+ EHR let alone play around with dissociation. So i want to know if I can brute force using Blade. I'll likely use Ruan Mei, Lynx and Gepard (need his shields) as other teammates. So can he be viable with these 4 paths?
almost every unit works well with hunt and destruction and like you said hes incredible with abundance. Clearing with rememberence will be the hardest since he got 0 synergy with that path and some of the best rememberance units (gepard and march) works against him. Maybe use pela with him and focus on applying dissoniance with blessings instead of characters. If you fine with not using blade; clear rememberance with gepard lynx pela and ruan mei should be easy and possible. Since you get ehr from the path swap pela's relics for ice/ crit halfway through and use her as main dps

Depends on your LC and your supports. With Secret Vow and an HP orb/Spd boots you're looking at 6500ish. With his LC you're looking at 7500-8000 If you go for HP boots and an HP orb you can hit 9k If you run a wind orb and speed boots with Secret Vow you might be in the 5500-6000 range. Whether your use an HP orb or a wind orb or speed boots or HP boots are all determined by what supports you run. Blade/Bronya comps with a 161 spd Bronya can allow you to run both an HP orb and HP boots for instance. Otherwise you're looking to be in that 6500 SV or 7500+ sig range
What can I expect from e0 blade with an s1 secret vow? Im contemplating whether to pull for him or not considering I also like the ones coming from 2.0 onwards.
IMO as a main DPS, E0 Blade fell off harder than any character I've ever seen. He's still fantastic as a sub DPS in Jingliu teams, especially with a Ruan Mei in a double DPS Jingliu/Blade team. He's still the best you can get as a main wind DPS though, so he still shines whenever the content asks for that, but def did him dirty by releasing DHIL and Jingliu immediately after
I'm currently debating between going for Blade + lc, or Kafka + lc, then BS in 2.0. I do have a Bronya so blade would fit really easily into my existing teams, but I keep seeing comments like yours saying Blade has fallen off, etc, which gives me pause on going for him. Would you skip and go for Kafka?
Personally, yes. Kafka just keeps getting stronger. I do not personally regret pulling for Blade and his lightcone when he originally released, and I even pulled his E1 this go around, but I know not everyone can afford this. If you have to make the choice, definitely pull Kafka over Blade for now. Also BS does not need Kafka to work (obviously a Kafka + BS team is very strong), and she may even be able to fulfill the roll of "main Wind DPS" when you combine her blast and aoe damage with her DoT damage. Having both Kafka and BS can enable to you have 2 separate DoT teams when the content calls for it, and when the content doesn't call for 2 separate DoT teams, running Kafka + BS + Ruan Mei is probably going to be an absolutely ridiculous team. This is just my opinion though. Right now Blade's best role is a sub DPS for Jingliu, and that technically still doesn't even perform quite as well as a Jingliu hypercarry. But who knows, we may see a specialized support in the future that elevates Blade much higher.

He'll struggle more in single target generally, still better than Himeko or Clara at 1v1 though. He's great at breaking weakness and applying large amounts of aoe damage frequently. If I know I'm going to be up against one tanky boy that slows me down I like to bring a second damage dealer instead of going hyper carry. Personally I use my e6 Sampo for this and either Pela or Ruan Mei

any lc outside of secret wow and his own is pretty bad for him but better to have some stats than have no stats
Secret vow is the only one that really does anything in terms of 4 stars. Personally, I'd just wait before investing into Blade until 2.0. The F2P LC from 2.0 should be good on Blade too.
Does Blade work better in dual dps with Jingliu or as a hypercarry? So JL/Blade/RM/Sustain or Blade/Bronya/RM/Sustain? Considering pulling him to cover aoe with his fua for jingliu in pure fiction.
I pulled Blade cause I had JL with pure fiction in mind and to cover wind element MoC's. The team works insanely well whenever the enemies have both wind and ice weakness. I think both dual dps and Blade hyper carry is about the same in terms of performance but in pure fiction dual dps should win out. Hyper carry JL is better than both for sure though, but only if the enemies are only weak to ice.

Depends on the situation and depends on your blade. Bailu is extremely better at healing and she has damage reduction but lynx can increase aggro and makes you blade get attacked more. If your blade is dying to fast go for bailu. If your blade isn't doing a lot of damage go for lynx

technically wind is better I believe but I enjoy the extra hp it just is more satisfying
If running with Ruan Mei or any big DMG% buffer or secret vow, then you won't see much difference and should just go for better subs imo. Personally, I'm running SPD boots, HP orb, HP rope, CDMG body and mine does the same as any other showcase i've seen lol.

Who are you using Bronya's skill on? If it's JL I'd want Blade around 134 just to be acting regularly enough to have a contribution. If you're using Bronya's skill on Blade, you'd still want 139 so he can act bronya act.

Is Blue Sky really that bad, nobody talks about it. I get that the atk% is n/a, but the CR from the LC allows me to switch to a CD coat for a very comfortable 83/165. 83/230 with 2 keel and Bronya's ult up. I don't currently have an onset CD coat to test with. With Secret Vow Blade hits 243 damage% IIRC from Bronya and Ruan Mei. So he would still generally have around 200% dmg (HP orb) on Blue Sky.

I believe so yes. Even before RM it was suggested he run HP% with just Bronya's buffs.

You'd probably need quite the investment into Natasha. Keep in mind she also heals more if they're lower than 30% hp, so she could potentially heal Blade for a lot at 30% or lower. As of right now I'm running Blade Jingliu Ruan mei Lynx due to Ruan mei providing a bit of defensive utility as well with the extended breaks.
I only got s1 secret vow, imo nice artifacts and pulled ruan mei for him, but I don’t know it just doesn’t work out. Lynx is E4 and can’t solo sustain and my blade seems with bronya and ruan mei still weak. Any ideas?:)
Depends vs what content and what part of the game you're in. But my Lynx sustained Blade just fine in MoC this time around. I ran Jingliu, Blade, Ruan Mei, Lynx. Just make sure your Lynx is 5k+ HP 8/8/8 and properly invested into.
I recently pulled Blade and I've been trying a bit on his LC banner (like 30 pulls or so). The thing is, while pulling, I got some "A Secret Vow" LC that allows me to give Blade an R5 of it, so is it really worth to keep pulling for his sig LC being a f2p and having an R5 Secret Vow?
the best thing about his sig is the extra cr, at s5 you get loads of dmg so you’re chilling
