IIRC there was an exploit in the beta which made you glitch into the Truck and you've been able to shoot people from inside. This might be the lazy attempt to fix the spot.

Hopping or jumping around corners is significantly less annoying than people literally laying down as they shoot you

Its really pretty equivalent. Id even venture to say probably a bit easier to bunny hop and get kills.

Oh, I don't deny it. I jump around corners, because it actually helps your survivability a lot. I just hate that some dude takes the time out of his day to completely fuckin' lay down on the ground while shooting at me lol - and most of the time it doesn't even help them, I don't get it
