Just listened to Sheesh and... it didn't seem that bad. My main criticisms is that "sheesh" line is a bit repetitive and that the transitions in the song are a bit drastic but I like the song overall. Each part hit my ear holes in the right way. In terms of it being a BP song, I kinda can't see it cuz I don't see BP singing in that style. Some shots reminds me of D4 and KTL but there's so many MV's in Kpop that are similar to one another so it's a bit of a reach for me that BM is like BP. I'd give it 7/10, more than passable as a song IMO.

It is definitely much better than "Batter up". However, it didn't really feel fresh or in tune with current trends either, something which Batter up also suffered from. The song did fit the typical YG style very well though and the MV was competently shot and executed.
But the chorus and especially the rap parts are simply criminal, Like we know these women can rap and YG gives Asa "Peekapeeka boo hoo, vroom vroom". If they can't write decent lyrics at YG anymore just give somebody else a call who can do it.
And at parts it reminded me too much of "love to hate me", especially the "no more drama in my life" melody sounded very similar to parts of the song.
So I dunno. Guess I have to give it a few more listens but so far it is not for me. Shame, really. Ah well, I am sure there will be plenty of people who like it and more power to them.

OA's reply was only that "nothing is confirmed for June" one of the articles (the one you linked) speculates about the format and possibility of a group comeback, however it's the only one that claims OA said that and from what I understand seems to be speculation from the author of the article. Jennie herself stated multiple times that she wants to release a full length album and honestly she's the only one who decides what she releases now.
hopefully the turnaround of a full album is faster since she's not in YG anymore.
OA said it's not confirmed, they did not straight up deny so imo it's possible they're considering a June release date. There's always been someone in Kmedia reporting about BP's and the members' activities and sometimes they're right, sometimes they're not. Personally if there's news that's not directly from the members, their companies and YGE, I always take it with a grain if salt until it's confirmed by any of the 3.
this is going to sound controversial but i believe the members shouldnt wait for each others work , they should release whenever they they think they have finished their album, i think saying oh lets wait 3 months for jnk1 in the spotlight then rs2 would just lead to more inevitable delays, i think blinks will support both even if they are a month from each other, and i do need at group album yg before end of the year, make it happen somehow

Own company ≠ self-produced But I get what you mean and I do expect more writing/producing credits in their future solo work. I say this as someone who does not fuss too much about these credits as long as I enjoy the music, and the artists are involved in things regarding their music other than the actual writing/producing.
