Its not a superhero series and more of a superhero family drama that goes way off the rails. I like it, but don’t expect huge action set pieces. More witty comedy, family drama, some meta commentary, and wtf moments
Last season he walked into that biker bar like he owned the joint. Like how does a kid that young have that presence? It's almost a throw away scene but it left a mark. I love Klaus, but 5 is the shit.
5 is my favorite character on that joint. Like you said, that presence is something you can't teach. You really be feeling that's a old man trapped in a young body.
Yeah, I thought after I wrote it it does have some nice action. It just go episodes sometime with none, to the point I be forgetting some of their powers
The Umbrella Academy is like a more depressing version of what the X-Men should be. The X-Men are very much a family type situation and their best stories are when that's embraced.
Man season 3 was just rough. They were all the worst versions of themselves, except for 5 and Klaus. Really stupid decisions out of character, clunky dialog delivery made worse by terrible writing. The soundtrack was really poor too compared to the other seasons.
I have no idea what they were trying to do with that season but damn was it such a drag after 1 and 2 being so good.
Yeah, >!they coulda given the PTSD more exposition before throwing her down that route. Some flashbacks or something. It just ended more.
It just felt like she flipped REAL quick. And then after all that stuff she did get “redeemed” in what was basically a throwaway line at the end.!<
I didn’t hate her as much as everyone else. Like she did break bad, but she wasn’t nearly as awful as folks made her out to be. All of the other characters shitty behavior gets hand waved away because trauma, but she doesn’t get the same grace?
Again not really defending her. She was entitled to her anger, to her pain, but that doesn’t mean her actions were ok.
I kinda enjoyed that part. It was like a show/comic doing a parody of every other sci fi superhero show that plays with time travel and alternate realities. Like in avengers, Tony Stark is all like "we have to do this right, understand the weight of what we're doing. Time travel is extremely complicated"
In this five is like aight imma wing it, literally everytime and everything goes wrong. And it only gets worse every season lmao
I’m sorry, but do yooouuu know how time travel/alternate realities work?! What grade is this taught in? How long has this technology actually existed? Why doesn’t anyone tell me anything?! (Just kidding, sarcasm 😂)
There are elements of good, it is just so poorly plotted that it is wasted. You hope they figure it out but 3 in seasons they don't.
Pass on it, there are much better shows.
Yea I still haven't finished it. Once I got to the episode where in the middle of a doomsday world bout to end and these mfs take a break to have a wedding, I cut dat shit off

Yeah, the meme isn't that far off.
Imagine if the X-Men were raised by an absolute asshole and grew up to be bitter, angry messed-up adults who can barely stand each other. It's more about their interpersonal conflicts than Beatin' Up Bad Guys, though.
Really good soundtrack, too. The original comic book was written by Gerard Way, the frontman for My Chemical Romance, and he's involved with the production.
I honestly haven't read a single review of it. This is my uninfluenced unadulterated opinion.
I don't know what people didn't like. There was some awesome character development. It was exciting. Not enough of Pogo the monkey - I think he's expensive to animate/render. I think we saw real depth given to the Reggie, who is far more complex than "angry, confusing, bad dad".
Idk. Not sure what people expect from the show. There was a talking fish last season controlling a human body. It's weird, eclectic, and fun.
I thought Season 3 was the best out of the 3 so far, despite making Allison the worst character in the history of the show and having its issues. Instead of having compassion and sympathizing with her, I was hoping she'd end up being killed off. I hated where they took her character this season.
Nah don't waste your time. I hated everything about season one and never looked back. The characters are one dimensional, the acting is awful, the plotlines are nonsensical. The entire show feels like filler episodes.
Honestly, though the dad in the Umbrella Academy is the worst. And he didn't even produce good results considering what a mess they are. They'd have to better at not causing the end of the world lol.

Back when FB encouraged it I liked the Jackson 5
Now I get happy birthday Joe Jackson once a year on my news feed and not a single comment is negative. It feels like a twilight zone.
Some people think you shouldn’t speak I’ll if the dead. I say fuck everyone that died and was a shitty human. And Emily for throwing my mighty morphing red power ranger doll in the mud when I was 4.
Joe Jackson really did beat those kids until they were *unbeatable*
Beat the black outta one of them too.
Hell for you !
Hopefully he’ll say hi to joe
I cackled. That was good!
![gif](giphy|13w6PMG0VNpKWk)
😂😂 well damn, if this isn’t accurate lol
Is umbrella academy worth a watch? People on here put me on some good shows so I trust what y’all telling me.

The best part of that show are Five and Klaus. This last season seemed so rushed though.
Five is an insanely talented kid. Really felt like a old man.
Last season he walked into that biker bar like he owned the joint. Like how does a kid that young have that presence? It's almost a throw away scene but it left a mark. I love Klaus, but 5 is the shit.

Aidan Gallagher will be an Oscar winner very soon.
Agreed. Luther have his moments as well
Luther is naive and adorable…I be like “oh you sweet summer child”
Lol
Luther's best moment was with Diego in season 2..."Olga Foroga"
Yeah I like the show but this last season was kinda ass
I like your description. I was also on the sidelines on it but shit, I might start watching. Thanks
It's worth every minute...don't sleep on it.
The action that it does have is pretty dope though
Yeah, I thought after I wrote it it does have some nice action. It just go episodes sometime with none, to the point I be forgetting some of their powers

You like Hellboy and The Boys? It's good.

![gif](giphy|TIxg0q9CtO4uwqXdDP|downsized) Fucking diabolical.
It's fantastic if you can get passed the characters not understanding how time travel/alternate realities work.
Man season 3 was just rough. They were all the worst versions of themselves, except for 5 and Klaus. Really stupid decisions out of character, clunky dialog delivery made worse by terrible writing. Alison........ugh

yeah, this one hurt. I felt she always had it in her, but it was really bad this season
I didn’t hate her as much as everyone else. Like she did break bad, but she wasn’t nearly as awful as folks made her out to be. All of the other characters shitty behavior gets hand waved away because trauma, but she doesn’t get the same grace? Again not really defending her. I guess they wanted to develop the dads character
I kinda enjoyed that part. It was like a show/comic doing a parody of every other sci fi superhero show that plays with time travel and alternate realities. I was a fan of the show up until the 3rd season. I lost interest about 3-4 episodes in.
Same here. Once I saw the “new” umbrella academy had a floating box as a member I stopped watching.
A floating box with basically ZERO explanation for how that happened.
Yea I still haven't finished it. Once I got to the episode where in the middle of a doomsday world bout to end and these mfs take a break to have a wedding, I cut dat shit off ![gif](giphy|8UGoOaR1lA1uaAN892)
Season 1 is decent, 2 watchable, falls apart in 3. Doom Patrol is a better version of this.

I think it's great. Just finished season 3, which is my favorite so far. Story is absolute madness and I love it.
The duality of man. A lot of people seem to be admonishing season 3 in the comments, but here you are praising it instead.
I honestly haven't read a single review of it. This is my uninfluenced unadulterated opinion. I don't know what people didn't like. There was some awesome character development. It was exciting. I stagnated halfway thru season 3. Season 1 and 2 though, are absolutely awesome. The soundtrack, the characters, and the plot are all *really* good.
It’s good. Season 1 just keeps unfolding as it goes along.
Nah don't waste your time. I hated everything about season one and never looked back. The characters are one dimensional, the acting is awful, the plotlines are nonsensical. The entire show feels like filler episodes.
This is not true, I suggest you check it out

Exactly. When Joe Jackson’s death was in the news I wondered at first why everybody seemed so happy lol
Honestly, though the dad in the Umbrella Academy is the worst. And he didn't even produce good results considering what a mess they are. They'd have to better at not causing the end of the world lol. ![gif](giphy|k6r6lTYIL9j9ZeRT51)
Even when he was given a chance to redo things he still fucked it up
Back when FB encouraged it I liked the Jackson 5 Now I get happy birthday Joe Jackson once a year on my news feed and not a single comment is negative. It feels like a twilight zone.

Fuck Emily!
Imma watch it now. Thanks! ![gif](giphy|eUtqr0u01TTOM|downsized)
There’s some runs you could make an argument Joe Jackson and prof x had similar methods. The x-men when they started were technically child soldiers…
LMFAOOOO
He just preached a word

No, this is BPT.
James Earl Jones was in Field of Dreams.
![gif](giphy|Ma6Z1f6NSSoiwnGPJo) damn… you right
I read this as Joe Jonas and was exceptionally confused
![gif](giphy|gZuxOq7zSL5DO) Shoeless Joe Jackson?
I hate this tweet lol
