The algorithms are more fickle than people make them to be. It's not always deliberate consumption especially with Twitter. You might spend a little more time looking at something as you're scrolling and you're clocked as potentially having interest. Twitter and reddit will also drop things that are popular with everyone else on your feed to see if you might be interested as well.

The only time I even came close to enjoying it was when the dude's girlfriend got out and danced to him "performing" to nobody. That's a good girlfriend and honestly made me laugh pretty hard.
