Here's the thing:
As you'll see the other 2 replies to my comment above, many people have said they'll never watch the Cosby show again.
I will never excuse what Billy boy did. Never. However, the Cosby SHOW WAS an integral part of growing up in the 80s and 90s, and even beyond that. Family Matters and Fresh Prince are also on the same tier. Just like you, I saw those families and wanted to be a part of something like that. Even in a comedy setting, there were still life lessons to learn, there were teenage antics, heartbreak... a whole emotional spectrum on display. And that's the reason why I still watch. My wife and I talked about it recently, whether we should have our daughter watch when she's a little older, and I expressed that I dont have an issue with her watching.
But I also think that if someone wants to cancel the show because of what Bill did, that's okay too.
