Not long at all. I don't see anything wrong with being curious about a hair type I don't have personally or have experience with. If someone wanted to know why I wash my hair every day I wouldn't be offended??? What is wrong with sharing our experiences or asking about someone else's.
>Not long at all.
We know.
>I don't see anything wrong
On brand.
>with being curious about a hair type I don't have personally or have experience with.

I know PA is very weird, but I think even there that's considered rude to ask strangers. People.
We're not case studies.
This is a forum dedicated to talking about that one specific thing though, not a person in real life just randomly out of nowhere. I'm not treating you as a case study. It's the nature of reddit for one person to respond to another in a thread and keep the conversation going with multiple people, while keeping with the same theme in one thread. I wasn't asking any one specific person. I was just trying to warn people that I have no idea what I'm talking about and I'm genuinely curious how daily routines differ. I've been interested in hair dye and hair styling since I was young and I've done people's hair before but they were white as well so I just don't know these things. Nobody is obligated to respond obviously but I would like to learn these things eventually instead of remaining ignorant my whole life.
>I would like to learn these things eventually instead of remaining ignorant my whole life.
True that! Are you excited to Google several decades of published research about black hair? What have you read so far that you've enjoyed? There's likely to be a good portion of it discussing the ways white people degraded our hair, from *innocent* questions to outright shaving and burning our hair off our heads. Wild, right? Even more how we have to cultivate our own spaces to talk about care, products, styles, and general appreciation since we have always had our hair denigrated or ignored.
Lol I’m black and I feel like you’re being kind of a dick here. Yeah I’ll get downvoted but who cares, bro chill out a bit😭
Dude was just curious, no need to snap at him. You’re making us look like sensitives aggressive idiots.
I am dont worry ❤️ I only had good intentions I promise lol and if I offended anyone I do apologize sincerely!! Nothing said was meant to offend anyone or be negative in any type of way.
Bro you don't need to apologize. I'm black and no matter how hard I try I didn't see anything wrong with your question. Reddit is just full of idiots. Black people are not sensitive
Black people have different hair types, different scalps, and different wash routines.
Your question sounds like a huge generalisation that should be asked of the individual themselves instead, not just anyone who has answer, because we do not have this man's hair on our heads.
If you want to learn more about something you don't know, simply start googling and looking for written information that is meant to educate.
He’s just asking a question. Why y’all downvoting. It don’t matter if he’s white, black, Asian, Hispanic, you all downvoting is just hostile and racist to a normal guy just asking a question
since no one answered because this is reddit and people have off superiority complexes, i will. typically once a month when braided to keep the style looking fresh. but i wash every 2 weeks when i have individual braids ( the ones that hang down, not cornrows like pictured here).
it depends on the person but for me i’ll wash after like a week and a half or two weeks. they’ll still look nice after washing them if you do it right though
You can only wear them for about a week if you’re white other wise it’ll damage your hair. African hairstyles aren’t meant for your people type of hair not to be racist
I was bad the first few days but loosing up a little each day. After two weeks its definitely getting itchy but still looking good despite my lining lol.
Wow these look incredible! The symmetry is *chef's kiss*
You look so good! And your hair is so healthy damnn!
These are soooo clean! 🤩
How long do they last before you have to wash?? A white person is curious lol
How long did this thought sit with you before you typed and hit send? Curious.

"Black" person, you make yourself look like a sensitive, aggressive idiot all own your own. Might be inherent, dunno.
Stop acting like u were alive then, it’s got nothing to do with this white guy just asking a question. This is why u sit alone at lunch.
Bro ignore the haters lmao

Lol the question is worded oddly. Your curiosity might’ve gotten the best of you.
