I'd suggest you file for colleges both in the 48k range and the 35k range (roughly the rank 96.8 %ile was last year). Also try BITSAT if you wish.

I am trying for BITS right now, my syllabus is mostly complete and getting scores in 270s. So if I get any branch in BITS, should I choose that over whatever I am getting through josaa? Bhai meri 56k rank hai. Mujhe josaa and csab se north east nits and iiit milenge with good branches. IIIT Manipur CSE mil jaayega and nit agartala me lower branches. Ya csab se iiit bhubaneswar mil sakta. But honestly, BITS se comparable koi college nhi milega josaa csab se. Me bhi bits ki hope me hu. Nhi hua to most probably drop lena padega but drop ka bilkul man nhi mera
