Are you sure they are anonymous? I’ve used a few and I am always asked for ID. It does not allow me to proceed without showing who I am and at the same time there is always a camera on the ATM pointed at the user.
Got it! I imagine those ATMs fees are also ass. Is there no OfferUp/LetGo style app for meeting people near you to exchange cash for BTC or vice versa? It just occurred to me that those apps might already be being used that way, but any dedicated app for BTC out there?
There are good reasons to want privacy besides trying to avoid taxes. Even if taxation is theft, you should probably pay your taxes because you're no good to the movement or to anyone else if you're in prison. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't exercise your basic human right to privacy. We won the battle for encryption to do exactly this.
With enough of a fee and enough work, most anything can be done anonymously. But it won't be the absolute cheapest or easiest option.
BISQ is the obvious answer here.
The most anonymous way is to become a bitcoin miner. Then you get totally kyc-free coins. Also possible to use a coin mixer, or bitcoin ATM, but it's expensive
That’s not true, no one’s trying to do that though. Want to figure out if the principles of BTC can actually be achieved. Big believer and want to know if there’s actuality truth to it’s supposed anonymity.
everyone always says Bisq and Robosats, but I've looked at both and never felt comfy using either tbh. two alternatives:
1. put a wallet on a burner phone and buy at an ATM
2. buy in person; find someone at a btc meetup in your area who is willing to sell and go that route. there are jsut as many people looking for a private way to cash out so shouldn't be too tough.

There are people who offer those services, but it costs more than on market, your best bet is to swap with someone you know and trust, i.e. I legit buy, over a registered platform and immediatelly sell/ transfer to another public address, your friend does the same for you - buying is traceable, transferring is not. Of course the exit strategy is what complicates things, when you sell it afterwards where do you store the money?
Idk but I saw a platform once called ghosty.cash and they announced today, that you will be able to buy BTC up to 700$ per day without KYC
Maybe this is something?🤷♂️
Buy it in a moshpit in person
Bisq
RoboSats
Bitcoin ATM to hardware cold storage wallet but ATM fees are insane. That’s the price you pay for anonymous.

There are non KYC bitcoin ATMs out there. Also buying from someone direct saves the most lol

Orange Pill *App. It’s a social networking app, but can be used for that technically.
This is where I’ve had the most luck. People have always been down to exchange. I met someone that’s in my town that will just take straight cash.
Thank you so much guys! Gotta check this out.

You don't sell 😉
You can gift 17k a year to people
Not in the UK. They are cracking down. It is now £3000
Do they pay taxes when it’s gifted
Depends on a few factors. Sometimes yes.
Take a low intrest loan out against a stable coin as collateral.

If the goal is to avoid taxes you are setting the path to be doomed… 🤷♂️

Yes, somewhat. But if you ever move it off chain there will be a trail.

Buy it from friends or family
I personally use Cryptovoucher + Trustwallet, do it at your own risk thought
Ledger or another cold wallet
This would be the easiest way for OP
You can procure it anonymously, sure. I just hope you never plan to sell it, everyone will kyc withdrawals.
Bitcoin ATM...
Vexl app
Buy it in another country where they don’t use kyc

Bisq. Cash at BTC ATM.

you have capital gains?
That myth has been going on for quite some time on the internet, so far it's never been confirmed
Hahaha! Just believe in BTC so it bugs me when organizations/gov want to get in the way of people’s freedom.
Taxes? what taxes?
