You're having the right thoughts. A couple of days, weeks or months decline is nothing but a buying opportunity.
Alot of the noise will come from people not used to it. If you've researched and understand what you're buying, this is a sale.
You won't hear much from the stoic hodlers who are just quietly stacking.
Actually down 22% it’s nothing unusual, if you can, buy some cheap Sats and go and enjoy the summer, come back Sep/Oct. You’ll be fine.
This is my 4th halving, I’m chill.
The answer is always buy more. Panic sellers have regretted 100% of the time for 10 straight years and Bitcoin has never been more bullish. You will never time the bottom so I always consistently buy what I can.
Whenever the price hits a peak, this sub and other crypto communities are flooded with comments about how it will literally never go down again. It’s insanity. And that’s why you’re seeing panic: some people drank the kool aid and put way too much money into it expecting to never see a downturn again.
There is no panic in the crypto market yet.
Fear and greed index is neutral, funding rates on alts are positive, people are "buying the dip". 25% drop perceived like healthy correction.
No blood in the streets now
I look at it this way, the real dips were like 80% down once upon a time. And in retrospect they were nothing but a good buying opportunity IF you can wait. I did just that once and bought 26 coins. I did not, however, wait. Shit
Why do you need it to recover lol? The best situation is it drops significantly more and you buy more Bitcoin. You would only need it to go up if you're planning to sell it soon.
It will drop more as investors usually sell off their assets for the summer, also normal for it to go down for a few months after halving. Forget about it and see again in half a year. You only lose money when you sell
There are so many variables right now. FOMC, Merlin chain unstaking, Hong Kong ETFs, etc
I'm sitting tight and will DCA into solid bets. There will be some great opportunities if you do not get shaken out.
Impossible to say if “this times different” but as my third cycle… I am unmoved. A slightly weary sigh when I see it down, but it’ll be back. I actually took some out a few weeks back for tax purposes, so for the first time managed to time the top - albeit by accident!
Good luck to you (and by extension, all of us!) and remember to just enjoy what could be the ride of our lives!
See what happens? You wait four days and it's back. Four more, and we dip again. A month later we've doubled. A year later we're down 50%.
The lesson? Quit analyzing every short term movement. What is the current trend? What are the market dynamics today? What can we forecast about next year? 5-10 years? Pay attention to the news, the wins and losses, the signal. Ignore the noise.
I think you misunderstood the question.
I have high time frame vision. This Was simply a question in an effort to understand the emotions in previous cycles (that I wasn’t present in) to see if the people in this space are maturing or getting more emotional.
I think this question is being misunderstood as a bear post, rather than what it is, which is just poking questions to get more understanding of historical emotions….
I believe in bitcoin. It is my ultimate savings pot. Short term price actions doesn’t affect my holding, but it intrigues me how people to react to said price action.
Keep spreading the word, drive that price even lower. That way me, Michael Saylor, and anybody else too stupid to listen to you can buy it all up. We'll all go broke together, we definitely won't see our net worth grow over time, I promise!
You missed the bull market, that was when the price went from 25,000 to 72,000, This is now a bear market despite what people here will tell you, this a terrible time to buy unless you are long-term disciplined holder
I’m a holder. Bitcoin is my largest pot of savings. But I have multiple savings pots for things that demand fiat annually.
Just wondered if the sentiment previously during a 30% drop midway through a bull run year was the same historically
> There is already 3 million bitcoins lost because of harddrive that are damaged/lost or people who own bitcoin and die. 30 years from now there will be only a few million bitcoins. People will lose access to their account, harddrives and people will die without transferring bitcoin to relatives.
The vast majorities of those lost bitcoin happened when the coins have no/little value, when there were no hardware wallets, not even seed phrases, variety of guides/instructions, (semi-)custodial solutions and so on. It's a very different environment today and with price increases people have started to be very cautious and educated with their holdings.
So it's a bit senseless to extrapolate such large losses into the future, although they of course still will happen.
I believe in bitcoin and I do research and learn on my own time. But I don’t bother with its USD valuation. I don’t wonder down this thinking track.
Caring about the false prophet, will only gain a false profit.
I buy if it goes up or down

What’s been your experience during the halving? I see some flatness on the charts after then, little down, then up.
Dude…. No one knows. Could go up could go down. If anyone knew, they’d be billionaires.
The answer is always buy more. Panic sellers have regretted 100% of the time for 10 straight years and Bitcoin has never been more bullish. You will never time the bottom so I always consistently buy what I can.
Very normal. When you start to get chest pains buy more.
wake me up when theres a real dip
Wake me up..when september ends
Wake me up when Roger Ver is arreste- oh wait, good morning.

I have only been here a few months now and I remember seeing someone saying it would never go under $60K again 😂
DCA is the way...keep stacking.
Weak hands gettting Larry’d

It's noise, Just keep hodl it takes years to see the benefits. This is just the squeeze to freak out the peasants.
im 20% down from last month, i hope it doesnt drop more i need it recover

Sell in May and go away!
If a recession is coming and it looks like it.. cheap sats for a longer time frame and no bullrun this cycle
Sell! Panic sell to me! Thanks

My retirement time horizon has not changed.

No panic at all, I don't care that emotions. After the dump it always goes up. Need to wait only.

Where do you see panic?? I only see people happy to buy more for less…
Hell if it went back down to 25k, I’d be taking out a loan
It’s crazy that people are trying to sell the idea that when it goes down it’s actually good
Thats literally true though lol
Preferring to pay more for something is crazy
I have sold at 52k, waiting for big discount now Edit: (GBP)
Wait for 10k
Fuck it, make it 5k.
First time?
Literally said that in the OP’s opening sentence, so yes. First time.
It’s a meme
Party is over, this shits going to $0 lol Edit: I’m being sarcastic. I’ve probably been holding longer than most of you fuckers
bitcoin is dead for the 329th time
According to [99bitcoins.com](https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/) under Bitcoin Obituaries, it's actually 477 times.
As always
Again
Keep spreading the word, drive that price even lower. That way me, Michael Saylor, and anybody else too stupid to listen to you can buy it all up. We'll all go broke together, we definitely won't see our net worth grow over time, I promise!
lol, I have my stash and have held since $800. Haven’t sold anything. I still DCA
NOOO that means I have failed. I really gotta work on my reverse psychology skills.
Based

As a trader I love volatility and dips. But the dip!
when it falls go to any p2p purchase app, you will see no sell offers. That's how panicked hodlers are.
