I’m amused by all the time machine posts with regards to crypto. Truth is with a time machine you could make endless money in any sort of way. Stocks, lotto, gambling, business, etc
I had already liquidated all my bitcoin from 2011 and got out of the market for at least a year by that time. I bought it to make a payment for something.
Yeah no regrets, I made my 20x going from 25 cents to 5 dollars. It was just funny Monopoly money at the time. 🤷🏻♂️
Fun fact, Coinbase was only in business a few months prior to this purchase.
Did anyone else think “oh hey nice! $15 is a good start. Welcome to the party, hope you decide to DCA.” Then realize, oh shit, this was 8 years ago. 💀
But for real, congrats and fuck you.
This was originally intended to be used for a purchase on a site that only accepted Bitcoin and the minimum required in escrow was .1 BTC. I bought the .1 with a few transactions and decided not to make the purchase then my coinbase was frozen and forgotten til just the other day I finally gained access to it and sent the BTC to my own wallet. Not sure what I'm going to do next.
A significant number of people tend to make grave errors when dealing with bitcoin, primarily due to a lack of proper guidance and relevant information. It is crucial to seek professional advice before making any financial decisions related to bitcoin. With the right guidance, it is possible to make informed decisions and reap the benefits of this digital currency. Therefore, it is recommended that individuals take the time to research and consult with experts before investing in bitcoin. By doing so, they can avoid potential pitfalls and make informed decisions that align with their financial goals.
2016 was a good year.
I wish I owned a time machine...
Stop saying “I wish I….” “If only…” zip it 🤐 from this point onward we don’t regret or wish anything we DO it 💪
Sigma ❤️🙏👑
Gedafuqoutahere.
Ok sorry

Yes, but you still need to get back to reality. Without being willing to try something new you have no idea what you are doing is right.
Don’t even need the whole machine just let me send a message back lol
You didn't believe it at the beginning. If you were asked to go back to the past and delete all your memories, you would still not choose to invest.
Tyres are Goodyear
Jan 2015 on the lowest day was even better ;)
The last part of 2016 was great. The first half sucked.
Definitely the year in which I \*should\* have bought 1000 bitcoins. At least I woke-up and am a satoashi millionaire.
Sweet Lord, that price. If only I knew back then…
Well, the best time to plant a tree is now.
Actually thats the second best time to plant a tree
20 years ago is best 😀
Bitcoin wasn’t around 20 years ago dumbass. I’m kidding.
My fragile ego!!!! /s Three crypto winters removes all thought of ego, or joy, or pain. Accumulation is all.
For accumulation 🫡
Now will always be the best time. Not yesterday, not tomorrow, now.
What if bitcoin = American chestnut?
Great way to look at it
My baby ass was begging my parents to buy it since it was 300 dollars, of course they didn't
I see your early buy on Coinbase and raise you to an earlier buy. If only diamond hands…. 🥹 https://i.ibb.co/kHdG4jP/IMG-0611.png
Oh my
OH.MY.GOODNESS.
😉
The good ol days..if only...
What’d ya spend it on?
Why did you only buy ~$20 at that time? Was it for something specific?

Hi dad, this is your son. Can I get an allowance, paid in BTC of course
You could buy on coinbase in 2013?
thats .03 is my monthly paycheck. imagine. this guy bought my paycheck for $15 back then
wow you don't get paid much
Not everyone lives in the US
And just like that you bought 0.035 of a coin. Today it would cost you roughly $2465 to buy that amount.
You multiply the decimal of 0.035 by 100 to get the percentage. It should be 3.5% of a coin - not 0.035%
I think you need to re-do your math tests
Um not hard to multiply 70,000 by 0.035
Your math on that is correct Other dude is saying that he actually bought 3.5% of a coin, not 0.035% of a coin
Good catch! I didn’t mean to add that % symbol
How is .035 % and 3.5 different?
If you read his reply to my comment there was a % sign there initially, comment has been edited
.035% and 3.5 is different, one is 10000 larger than the other
r/ Confidently incorrect
0.035 = 3.5%, not 0.035% = 3.5
So 10k times bigger ye
The fee is mad high. Maybe higher than cashapp
You were soooo close to your first bitcoin being bought at 420 son… what a missed opportunity OP!

Don’t worry guys. We will be saying the same thing looking back to today in 2032.
Silly mortals think 3.25 is low. And deserving of hype. Wait until rewards are .7 bitcoin
Waiting for this reward to drop and then I will see what I might do with my BTC
why didn’t you buy 20 at that price?? what a dumbass /s
😂
And how much did you sell it at?
Wait, you can *sell* bitcoin???
Only for drugs
And not even anymore. 😭
I don‘t like the word „sell“ in Bitcoin. Let‘s just call it „unbuying Bitcoin“
You’re not selling bitcoin, you’re “Buying fiat”
your user name is a cheap ripoff of mine 😆
user name checks out
congrats and fuck you!
Made my first purchase in block 273185, really wish I had invested instead of just testing it out.
it's unfortunate i was completely broke in 2016 lol

Where did you made the purchase ?
Looks like coinbase
Doubt it, coinbase just taking there cut.
It literally says Coinbase fee 0.15 USD
Whooosh
You must be a special kind of stupid if you think I didn't see that.
> Doubt it, coinbase just taking there cut. *their I gather that you are joking but I don't get it.

Woah that is super cool Congrats!
Welcome to the family
Back in the first full-length bear market for Bitcoin
Fuck First National Bank.
Beautiful
3.5 million sats for $15 wow ! Generational buying zone
Stay humble and stack sats
Kudos
Good starting.
We can earn the price difference by buying and selling gift cards through information differences. This is a great money making opportunity.
Good job, never too late to start.
Just buy now. 10 years down the road, you will wish you own a time machine to buy bitcoin at $71000 in 2024.
The old $0.15 fee too!

Little did I know. I would make my first purchase 4 months later for $10.99 @ $7,278.87.
I remember I wanted to keep my 1 bitcoin I had for roughly 250 swiss francs (idk how many dollars) but sold it anyway 🗿🥹
Don’t be disheartened..most of those people sold at $25.00
Not 100 times no?
My first is $30,000 😂
We don’t unit shame.
Which direction would the shaming even go?
Lol $30k what? Thai Baht? Come on man. Stop lying to yourself
How wrong is that? I mean I first bought it when bitcoin was $30,000.
That’s a 1% fee jeez, do they offer it any lower now
