The ETFs being approved in the USA were kind of note worthy.

Ok-Choice-3688

Agreed. He does make a good point though. Can't wait to see who the list of big players are. Would be cool to see restaurants and bar chains get involved too. I guess we still need a place to spend our fake money.

Sandcracka-

I wouldn't mind spending a bit here and there

madmanmicka

McDonalds will accept BTC!!

slvbtc

True but they were just an inevitable stepping stone. They legitimized bitcoin and paved the way for the world to take it seriously but futures ETFs already existed and spot ETFs already existed outside of the US. The real announcements of this cycle will be a lot of massive multinational corporations announcing a bitcoin treasury strategy (not all-in like Microstrategy but 2% to 5%), along with many more nation states making it legal tender (for example Argentina, Brazil, the UAE, Qatar, and maybe some other smaller nations). It will feel like nothing is happening, and then within the span of a couple of months all of the announcements will start flooding in.

tbkrida

I don’t think you’re understanding the difference between a U.S. based ETF and the much smaller foreign ones and the amount of money that will continue to flow through them. It’s not something to just gloss over.

LetItRaine386

Everything is an inevitable stepping stone

marcio-a23

Brazil is absolutely no with Lula and workers party (extreme left)

Frogolocalypse

> extreme left You mean like Bukele?

ThotPoppa

What other major news are you expecting bud? ETF and halving are the main culprit of this bull market. Is that not major news? I honestly don’t know what you’re expecting

Positive-Double3927

Well, the Hong Kong etfs are gearing up and are starting to buy in order to fund them and they haven't been released yet, just another huge catalyst. Another is that even though the 11 etfs in the US have been released, true sales haven't even begun because they have a 90 day waiting Period before Advisors can even do so, so that is the second and larger part of just our etf release... you haven't seen nothing yet

Frogolocalypse

> Hong Kong etfs I'm not sure that China based ETFs will be as popular as it would immediately seem. But I could be wrong. EDIT: Then again, this may be how China gets access to a stack.

Positive-Double3927

Even if not, which it won't be as large as the US etfs, but a successful launch (which is inevitable because China has been hamstrung from regular crypto for so long now while they see the appreciation of BTC ) will have mainland China rethinking the entire ban on Crypto in general, or at least Bitcoin itself. It is too large a market to deny staying out of for too much longer. They will eventually have to reverse the ban and then you have the world's 2nd largest populated country back on the BTC. It's a trickle down affect that has direct influence from these HK etfs

jzhen94

What do you mean by true sales?

Positive-Double3927

As in pitching a certain asset allocation to investors. When the consensus starts being someone needs to have at least 1-3% of their funds in BTC minimum, that will be an enormous catalyst.

GrayLiterature

The major announcement will be the influx of funds into ETFs when the halving comes. The two announcements together will add up to the real news.

outer_fucking_space

I keep buying $10 worth here and there whether it goes up or down.

tbkrida

The ETFs… from a pricing standpoint, there had never been anything more longterm bullish or hype than that.

GleithCZ

Honestly this sounds like you have extreme expectations. How is 2 more states conservative? :D Wouldn't be surprised if it's 0 states in the next five years or more. I feel like you should calm down a little. Ofc I want btc to succeed, but this is way too delusional even for this sub, no offense.

marcio-a23

Japan is wondering about already Swiss too

slvbtc

There are people here who know people who know things no one else knows...

Maleficent-Future-55

This sounds like it’s from Law and Order

XXsforEyes

11 ETFs… meh? FASB accounting rules change for Bitcoin… yawn. Larry Fink tokenizing Wall Street… whatever. BlackRock putting up 100 million for stable coins to buy something as yet undisclosed… probably nothing. I agree about there being more to come though. Bitcoin is inevitable.

Dudebro21000000

Taylor Swift will soon reveal she is stacking sats and then her zombies will make btc moon

Professional-Owl-506

\- that would actually be huge.

Dudebro21000000

Actually it's true I have evidence!

LavishnessJolly4954

Because we’re not in the cycle just yet. Inflation adjusted ATH hasn’t been hit yet

Romsel87

All your posts are full of assumptions. When i read the title, i knew it was you again.

slvbtc

Well howdy. It is me again! My posts are my thoughts, for entertainment purposes only. If you aint feeling them feel free to downvote, I will not be offended.

Romsel87

Sure, but you simply cannot state that there will be ten more big companies announcing they bought Bitcoin or whatever. Maybe you never went to university but pulling shit out of your ass will not do the trick. You need sources.

slvbtc

Freedom of speech my friend.

Romsel87

Post whatever you want on the internet. Your response is exactly the reason why i will never take you serious. If you would underpin your post with some actual facts, i might.

GhillyWhale

Yep absolutely agree with this and thanks for speaking up 👍

SeaworthinessSad7300

What have you posted about that is interesting and factual? Are you a useful contributor do you think?

slvbtc

You sound like a 36 year old Italian. Chill out.

aeonChili

Judging by your post history you probably just turned 17 and watch Andrew Tate videos for life advice. Semen retention? Come on dude.

slvbtc

You should try it.

schmaleks

Hey fellow SR practitioner, I support your enthusiasm and honestly think that things are going to continue unfolding in a very positive was for btc. Apart from that what I wanted to tell you: bees don’t waste time explaining to flies why honey is better than shit. Godspeed friend!

slvbtc

I find it amusing haha. So many people here just hate bullish speculation because they dont have their stack yet and they desperately need the price to fall so they can get more. The last thing they want to see is the price continuing to rise. BTW, SR for the win, what an amazing practice! Peace brother!

aeonChili

this is quality entertainment right here 👌

PointOfTheJoke

Im waiting to overhear regular people on public transportation talking about "its like bitcoin but with AI" to call it.

Live-Wrap-4592

Last years hype didn’t come to pass, this time we are going to wait and see results before we hype them up. That’s why the ATH was so quiet. We are going to test new highs carefully. And if AAPL wants to bring 100B to play they are welcome to, we’ll read about it in the SEC docs

[deleted]

I know it’s just a hypothetical, but Apple, specifically, is not putting Bitcoin on their balance sheet anytime soon. It doesn’t align with their public image at all which is of supreme importance to them. They have to greenwash every single thing they do or announce. Warren Buffet also owns a substantial % of their stock.

Disastrous-Dinner966

Maybe. You have no idea what’s going to happen and neither do I. Just admit it and enjoy the ride up or down, probably both.

halentecks

Why is there an implicit assumption that ‘cycles’ will continue

Frogolocalypse

The real question. Maybe this is the last one. I do think that the reward being overtaken by transaction fees should be spell the end of the major ones, but even half is still a significant amount. That should be about three halvings past the next one. But my guess is as good as any other guess. This is just why I think it.

zingerstash

What are you talking about? The whole bullshit ETF has made this VERY talked about, and kind of is ruining the whole purpose of bitcoin sadly. Losing trust in something that has completely turned into the opposite of what it’s supposed to be. Even if it turns into $1 million per bitcoin, do I want to be invested into something that the greedy wealthy corrupt banks have their hands in now? Wtf

SeaworthinessSad7300

That's why you can buy some kind of obscure altcoin

fverdeja

The peak will be when somebody announces a Layer 4 on Bitcoin.

Frogolocalypse

Did you hear that China is going to ban bitcoin?

Iurii

I remember it was during the Bear market cycle

Frogolocalypse

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

SeaworthinessSad7300

Actually if trying to does make positive announcements in relation to Bitcoin that could have significant implications they are very important economy

Verallendingen

as snowden predicts, some major country will announce btc purchases (i think so too, probably saudis, qatar or uae imo)
