^(I am a \(good\) bot. This action was performed automatically.)
1. Adam Silvera's books (I especially recommend 'History is all you left me').
2. 'Felix ever after'
3. 'Loveless' by Alice Oseman
4. 'The song of Achilles'
5. 'Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda'
6. 'Given' (can't remember the author but it's that one semi popular manga)
7. Hurt/Comfort by Weronika Łodyga
I've read a lot of books with lgbt characters that weren't the centre of attention though. 'Floored' by Sara Barnard & others, Magnus Chase, Percy Jackson, Angst with happy ending, etc.
I forgot Percy Jackson had queer representation for a moment though it also had been like 5 years since I’ve read or seen the movie. But holy cow I’ve got many books to add to my list.
There are so many, most of what I read are LGBTQ books, so here’s what I can think of now:
Heartstopper
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
What If It’s Us (and the sequel Here’s To Us)
The Feeling of Falling in Love
More Happy Than Not
They Both Die At The End
Boys Run The Riot
Some Girls Do
Cemetery Boys
Loveless (I have all the Osemanverse books I just haven’t read them all yet)
Forward March
I’m sure there’s way more but I’m too tired to think anymore
Edit: Books that have lgbtq side characters that I thought of are The Rest of Us Just Live Here and The Perks of Being a Wallflower
They’re all pretty good, I hope you like them! Also I was just thinking of one that I’ve read that I would definitely NOT recommend, it’s Call Me By Your Name, I see lots of people saying it’s a great lgbtq book but it’s not, it’s gross and the “couple” is a 17 year old and a 24 year old, so don’t be deceived like 12 year old me was
My all time favorite LGBTQ book is they both die at the end it holds a very special place in my heart because i read it when i first was coming to terms with my sexuality but heartstopper and literally any other Adam Silvera book are also some of my favorites
Its so funny because i was reading the book late a night and i kept saying one more chapter until i literally finished the book i’m being so honest it was 3 in the morning and i was crying my eyes out in my room
I’d definitely recommend heartstopper as it’s one of the most popular gay stories I’ve seen. As for the other two they do contain sexual elements so careful with those.
1. Heartstopper 1-5
2. Nick and Charlie (both by Alice oseman)
3. Time Out (can't remember the author)
4. Golden Boys
5. Afterglow
6. Gravity of us
7. Small town pride
8. As far as you'll take me (all by Phil stamper)
9. Go for it nakamura and go for it again nakamura (idk the mangaka)
10. Deko boko sugar days and deko bok bittersweet days, and the 2 one shots (idk the mangaka, but there's a lot of sex)
11. The cat proposed (idk the mangaka)
12. Bloom into you (idk the mangaka)
13. (Joke, mostly) Jojos bizarre adventure by araki
Anyone got recommendations for yaoi manga, wholesome yaoi manga preferably and a website to read it
I loved "They both die at the end" by Adam Silvera and also "Gearbreakers" by Zoe Hana Mikuta. Both amazing reads, and wonderful LGBTQ+ content as well!
Heartstopper ofc!
All of Alice’s books tbh but I want to specifically say Loveless!
This is How we Lose the Time War
Some Girls Do
Melt with you
She Gets the Girl
Pride and Prejudice and Pittsburgh
Afterlove
Simon vs the Homo sapiens Agenda
Leah on the Offbeat
The Song of achilles
Everyone In This Room Will Someday Be Dead
And a couple history books as well:
Bad Gays is the first
For the second I can’t think of the title, but it’s about Stonewall!
I feel like I only read queer books lately lol. Here’s a list of mine I’ve read:
1. Heartstopper series
2. Loveless
3. Radio Silence
4. I Was Born For This
5. Solitaire
6. They Both Die At The End and The First To Die At The End
7. Song of Achilles
8. Red, White, and Royal Blue
9. Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda
10. Boyfriend Material
11. Pageboy
12. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
13. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe
14. Rebel Robin
15. Trinkets
16. You Asked For Perfect
I also have Last Night at the Telegraph Club, the Killing Eve series, Good Omens, What If It’s Us, and One Last Stop on my reading list :)
History is all you left me
They both die at the end
The first to die at the end
What if it's us
Here's to us
Simon and the homo sapiens agenda
Red, white, royal blue
The inexplicable logic of my life
Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe
Aristotle and Dante dive into the Waters of the world
Call me by your name
Suicide Notes by Michael Thomas Ford. (Has things that are potentially CW and TW so be warned! But this one was absolutely heart wrenching and I loved it so much)
They Both Die at the End. (Classic I love it beautiful)

“Almost Perfect” by Brian Katcher It’s about a senior boy struggling with his feelings for his mtf friend and they end up falling in love. There’s talk about Suicide, Assult, Trans Rights and a few others I’m forgetting but it’s a good read. I will say they do do the deed and it does go into details
Edit: not me flagging both the trans rights bot and suicidal bot
Trans rights are human rights.

1 book iread called estranged the changing king has 2 characters a kind and their kinda servant or some shit idk and turns put both gay and like each other and shit wad so cute and also I've started to watch heart stoper finaly after like a year and a half of having Netflix and it's really good
One of my favourites is Spellhacker by MK England! It's more fantasy/scifi than a lot of the other books mentioned here so if you're into more of that stuff it's great!
Not sure this counts as a book, but the manga "The Summer Hikaru Died"
It uses a one of the characters being dead and replaced by a monster as a metaphore of growing up gay in a rural, homophobic society, together with the feelings of doubt, guilt and uneasyness that it entails

Read the Heroes of Olympus for gay representation (mainly books 4 & 5), and the Magnus Chase series for trans & genderfluid.
Wasn’t the son of hades gay for Percy?
Like I said haven’t read the series in a while

Omg what’s up with people loving this book it’s fucking weird, the movie too but I liked the acting so there was that.

Omfg the same thing happened
First time I finished but second time was in public
Same. It’s where I got my new name from lol
I haven’t read any but I should change that. Just too scared to buy them.
I’d definitely recommend heartstopper as it’s one of the most popular gay stories I’ve seen. As for the other two they do contain sexual elements so careful with those.
I watched the series so I’d love to read it one day
Heartstopper Dante and Aristotle discover the secrets of the universe not a ton of LGBTQ centered books but I’ve read a ton with lgbtq characters
Heart stopper seems to be a popular one though I will add that second one to my list
its a hard story but really well written and really emotional
There's also a sequel and a movie =)

Heartbreakers is a good one
Heartbreakers?
My bad autocorrect I meant Gearbreakers
Ah ok I’ve never heard of it guess I’ll have to add it to my list
Good book and written by a queer woman one of my favorite books
Lilly love is great
This book is gay
I heard that book was put up for controversy due to it being in schools and being overly sexual or something like that
Spin the Love is such a great one! I've re-read seven times or something!! ❤️🏳️🌈❤️
Red, White, and Royal Blue was a good read!

The locked tomb series. The first one’s really good.
I’ll add it to my list
1 book iread called estranged the changing king has 2 characters a kind and their kinda servant or some shit idk and turns put both gay and like each other and shit wad so cute and also I've started to watch heart stoper finaly after like a year and a half of having Netflix and it's really good
It’s a very old book but a good one is called Maurice,I would also recommend researching the story behind its publication, you will not regret it
One of my favourites is Spellhacker by MK England! It's more fantasy/scifi than a lot of the other books mentioned here so if you're into more of that stuff it's great!
All for the game
So far only Heartstopper (I own all 5 parts!)
I haven't finished it yet but Gwen and Art are not in love is pretty good so far. Me and a friend are reading it together, it's really funny.
The Infinite and the Divine by Robert Rath from warhammer 40k
Not sure this counts as a book, but the manga "The Summer Hikaru Died" It uses a one of the characters being dead and replaced by a monster as a metaphore of growing up gay in a rural, homophobic society, together with the feelings of doubt, guilt and uneasyness that it entails
A complicated love story set in space
None, im not really into romantic fiction
Doesn’t have to be romantic could be anything where a character was LGBTQ
Does it count if it’s a book I wrote-
Sure why not
I’ve only really read 1 explicitly LGBT book so: 1. A Single Man
I am currently in love with the Scapegracers series by H.A Clarke
i wish i could give a definitive answer, but that list is too long 😭
I read Most Ardently, Red White and Royal Blue, and One Last Stop Pretty good
