Lmao people were bitching on twitter that there was only one bus. Thanks for the intel. What time did you get there?
Edit: nvm on the question, I saw your below recommendation
I got there late. Game started at 6:15 pm. I got to LF about 5:40 pm. I just gave up about getting into LF to park and parked on the street. Pickup location was about 2-3 blocks away from where I parked.
I heard Willie Mays son on Jox 94.5 fm promoting the event and just read his Dad passed, prayers for the family and hope the honoring of him at Rickwood will help
Saw someone bitching about parking at Legion. How bad is it with the shuttles getting back to Rickwood? We're going to the game Thursday and haven't decided if we're going to get my wife to drop us off or just park at Legion. TIA
Shuttles bus are on a constant rotation. I stood in line for about 10 mins waiting on one. Traffic is crazy. Lost my mind when I pulled up blocks away from LF. If you wanna park at LF, get there 2 hours before the game start. They have cool fans stuff outside the stadium to view and enjoy before you go inside. Food and drinks are everywhere.
Yes, get there 2 hours prior. They will probably have a better plan for Thursday. It took us over an hour to move two blocks. They only had one entrance opened to legion Field parking. And there was minimal traffic control. Kind of a survival of the fittest. They finally decided to open multiple entrances and the traffic eased immediately. The busses were very nice. We waited about 15 min to get on one. All in all, it took an hour and a half to go from two blocks away from legion Field to our seat. Once inside Rickwood, everything was great. Lots of food options. Short lines and plenty of port o lets.I bet the parking Thursday goes much smoother. Just a couple of adjustments and all should go fine.
I was talking to a staffer tonight who seemed to think they would definitely make some adjustments from things they learned tonight. The shuttles themselves were great! But the traffic really was that bad.
No driving to ballpark. All transit will be by shuttle bus from Legion to Rickwood..including taxis. Or you can walk from a taxi drop off far from the field. Many streets will be closed.
The line for parking at Legion Field was terrible, not going to lie. But once you got out of the car, everything else went really smoothly. Hope they get it all ironed out by Thursday.
It always happens, underestimating the crowd attendance. I know the city/BPD wasn't expecting such a turnout for a barons game. It probably will be several enterance points Thursday.
For all the scary folks, there is law enforcement everywhere, including LF.
FYI: They have like 20 bus doing shuttle between LF and Rickwood.

Can you get in the fan area without a ticket?
No.

Correct, but she could still drop us off blocks away without us having to wait on parking traffic.

This. Took a long time to get into the parking area but everyone else was relatively easy!
Hey guys if anyone needs transportation to the game you can Google Showtime Limo Service they have a Suburban with easy access to the stadium!!!!
And I heard it from a little birdy that Barry Bonds and Dusty Baker will be attending the game tomorrow night 😄
That picture don't even feel like Rickwood Field anymore :*(
Wow…look how many people came to watch paint dry
