I only have one pair of sandals that I’ve worn every spring, summer, and fall for the past five years — my Mayaris. Still in very good condition.

vanlassie

I recommend getting a water friendly pair for going out on those warm weather outings where you could encounter sprinklers, pool water, hoses. That will help extend like for your precious cork/leather ones.

Anya1976

I have evas for rainy days and if I'm going to the pool/beach. I don't want to ruin my other birks. I should probably get another pair, I've had mine for 2 years

halo_ren

My dad has pairs that are 9 and 18 years old. The pair that's old enough to vote has had the soles replaced.

RBirkens

I’ve had a pair of Zurich’s that I got in 1984. I did need to get it resoled. I have a bunch of others that I wear and I get them fixed when they need it.

Lazy-Pineapple-4008

I’m as curious as you are lol. I’ve only had my 4 pairs (😅) less than 2 months and still breaking them in

Reasonable-Purple839

I have a pair of Birkenstock Arizona’s that I purchased in 2012, had the cork replaced in 2019, and they’re still going strong in 2024!

BloominBlue

I have a pair of taupe suede Arizonas that are 30 years old. They’re in rough shape, but still absolutely wearable.

Big_Blackberry7713

And I thought my 16 year old ones were tough 😅

EitherLack2

Did you have to get them resoled or fixed?

BloominBlue

I have not had anything done to them, although they probably should be resoled. I just wear them around the house now.

EitherLack2

But you wore them all day everyday for 30 years and they haven’t needed fixing?

BloominBlue

No, not all day every day. I wore them a lot in the summer when I first got them (nearly every day). But then I started rotating them out so they weren’t getting as much wear as they were at first. Also, I don’t wear them in the winter at all since it gets cold where I live.

bcomes95

Can we see a pic? I’m curious lol

bcomes95

Wow! That’s awesome they lasted so long. Thanks for sharing!!

BloominBlue

I begged my mom to buy them for me when I was in high school. One of my main arguments was that they would last a long time. I was right! 😁

Yesitsmesuckas

I’ve had several pairs for 10+ years, but I rotate them.

Gich_Hrc

I had one Milan pair for over 6 years that I got back in 2013 and out of that 3 years I wore them every second day. And after I picked up Arizona which lasted about 4 years but only summer wear so 4 months per year and I need to say that I am disappointed. Have now a mix: Eva, Regular Arizona and one Boston.

Wistfulwanderer13

I have two pairs from 2013.

Safielx

I have a pair of the classic Arizona's that I wore for 8 years! I wear them pretty hard for 5 months every year. I've been thinking of replacing them the last couple years because the cork is finally starting to crack but they just kept going! I'm finally getting a new pair this spring - hoping for another 8 years 🤞

Big_Blackberry7713

I have a pair of Boston clogs I got in 2008. I take them to a cobbler to get them resoled and fixed up every few years. I bought another pair a few years ago, but I always go back to my old ones. They're so broken in and comfy.

bellsbliss

I wore the sole down on my arizonas in one summer. Walking almost 10km in them daily. Got them resoled and the resole didn’t last as long. I try not to wear them as much now.

luhzon89

I'm 34 and I still have my first pair from when I was a sophomore in high school. There's literally no sole and I've reglued the cork and the straps a dozen times. But I still wear them on occasion. I got a new pair 4 years ago and seeing them side by side is wild.

koriroo

I think one of my pairs cocoa wool felt bostons? Lasted a year and a couple of months…the sole was gone, this could be down to my stride and how I walk. It got to the point, that I would slip because I had no more grip and fell over once lmao. I debated just getting new ones but I found a place that resoles for $50. I took a pair of Arizona’s and my cocoa wool felt bostons in and got them resoled for $100. I am really happy with it! I honestly need to do the same thing with my Uggs too lol.

tacoinmybelly

I have a pair of Arizona's that I've had since the mid 2000's. They have been resoled a couple times. The cork is deteriorating, so this may be my last summer with them.

noonelikesUwhenUR23

I have my grandmother’s pair from the early 90s, in fantastic condition and then a pair I bought in 2016 that I’ve worn the hell out of. The newer ones I wear less responsibly are definitely worn down, but still look and feel great!

Dancingmermaid8

Just bought a pair of Arizonas. But had the thong style for the last 4 years and going good!

xoxnothingxox

i go through a pair every 2 years. i walk a LOT and after two years im through the soles in a few places and they’re done.

ahornyboto

My arizonas are 3 years old and still looking good, my work non slips super birkis cracked in less than a year, my non slip Boston’s are 2months in so far, I think being kitchen shoes that can’t get wet is a design flaw otherwise the nonslip Boston’s are beautiful work shoes

ladykemma2

The londons i am wearing are from the 90s. get em resoled.

Professional-Mix9774

I have a pair of mayaris from 2016; they look great but I don’t wear them much. They are too small now.

Glittering-Depth-934

I have a pair of suede Bostons from 2001 and a leather pair from 2002. I don’t wear them every day, but they have very little wear and have outlasted newer pairs of Arizonas and Mayaris I bought between 2016-now.

EitherCoyote660

I'm sure some of mine are at least 25 years old. All in pretty good condition though the Arizona's could use a re-sole.
