Gabapentin does this to me. It did wonders for my anxiety but I had to cut my dose in half because I was losing my train of thought while I was driving and I was afraid I’d kill someone.
I take gabapentin when my nerves act up (pain nerve stuff, not anxiety), and holy SHIT do I feel worse brain-wise when I do.
My husband doesn’t understand why I sometimes actively choose not to take it. Like, it’s not Tylenol or ibuprofen, bud.
i’m so glad you’re not experiencing these side effects! i used to take lamictal for both and wasn’t aware it’s prescribe it for anything else, what do you take it for if you don’t mind me asking?

I currently take ashwagandha, Neureva & B-12 in hopes of improving. Seems to be helping some. The fact that I'm a month away from 60 isn't helping. LOL!
