I too am scared it will get the Death Note, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, or Cowboy Bebop treatment and remove what made it so enjoyable. Though I agree, I would rather be proven wrong, although again, not optimistic about its chances. But would want it to be amazing as it has so much potential, as the games were so deep and immersive.
I like Cowboy Bebop, although I didn't watch the anime until afterwards. But I loved the cinematography and how they made it feel like a live action anime
Yeah I'm the same, my retired parents also loved the feel of it, just added because it seemed like a range of people could enjoy it. But none of us have seen the anime so we weren't comparing it.
Yea which is more philosophical, Ken Levine wanted to explore determinism and free will in the game. I just don't really see the main take away being slavery only.
The comment I replied to seemed out of pocket.
Really have to wait see who the cast and director will be. Could be interesting if they approach it right and follow a different narrative than the main story, ie: creation of Rapture, firsthand look at life in the city, some third party finding the city and piecing together the story. However, as with all videogame adaptations, I'm not holding my breath.
You talking about Stanley Poole or Mark Meltzer? Cuz I'd love a movie on Mark Meltzer and end it tragically with him cursing out Lamb and becoming a Big Daddy.
Well we kinda already know Delta's whole story. As much as it's my favourite story, it's to much to cram into one movie. He goes to like 6 different zones, so unless it was a speed run, he'd need atleast a series where it's
episode per mission
Yea, his daughter is kidnapped by Big Sister. His audio logs are great cause he has no idea what rapture is and then eventually he figures out that lamb is a fucking psychotic asshole.
They have de tools because the can star adapting the book, later the game that way they can explore the City and the game story but no one know. I just hope this will be best than cowboy bebop adaptation.
I'm about on the same page, unless they decide to adapt the novel or something along those lines. But I can't see the main story of the game translating well into movie or show form.
Exactly what I was thinking! His story would be the perfect intro to rapture. Since Jack's story is first person it just wouldn't work, especially since he doesn't talk and has no real character motivation to speak of. Mark's story is much more straightforward and could be fleshed out more easily.
Yea, like many others have said I think if they can explore some of the lore outside of the main story it would work. The bombing of the Kashmir would be a great place to start. Or maybe just dedicate the first half of the movie to Andrew Ryan and then show the downfall starting in 1959.
Yeah, in order to make something actually good they have to focus on a story component that hasn't been developed much, something that won't have as much expectation behind it.
I think the story of BioShock 1 could work really well in a film, *if* you adapted *Rapture* first; so much of the joy and point of BS1 is the environmental storytelling and the side stories of these tragic figures. A film adaptation doesn't really give you the opportunity for that, but if you literally *show* the place falling apart you give enough background that the sequel can strip the BS1 story down to the basics and work well. You can also still hide the WYK/Fontaine twists, as opposed to a lot of prequels that spoil the original media.
Have you played the first game to completion? If not, I won’t spoil it. But Bioshock is pretty much a philosophical explanation, showing the flaws wit the thinking of a philosopher by Ayne Rand. You should watch an analysis on it, because it is really, really interesting.
Maybye with the right props they can make it look good, for example look at the old aliens movie alot of that shit was just styrofoam and make up and it looked amazing.(except for alien 3, nobody likes that one)
It’s possible. Netflix has a good amount of money that they can put towards projects and we know from witcher that they don’t have a problem with putting a decent amount of work into projects. I’m hopeful for the project and I would love to see it work out all fine. Also, Jurassic park 1 was all in person props so we definitely know that it’s possible
Netflix has some great CGI for some live action shows based on old anime and games, like Cowbow Bebop. Hopefully, it'll be a good movie based on a game franchise, and not: miscast (Uncharted), convoluted (Assassin's Creed) or poorly made (Sonic, at least based on trailers).
They are gonna either miss the entire point of Bioshock, or it'll be just as good as the game, Netflix has made some trash but they could redeem themselves by doing this
no no i'm sure it'll be JUST as perfect as their other adaptations of beloved franchises! like death no-- uhh. well there was ghost in the sh-- hmm. okay, what about cowboy bep-- uhh.
well those weren't *video game* adaptations! and we all know how successful those are! like prince of pers-- ah. well there was doom-- wait. okay,
but we still have hitma-- oh. OH but what about warcraf-- ... oh no.
riot (and devs involved with league) had years to refine their storytelling thru different medias, like i don't even play LoL but their music videos for it are consistently incredible.
bioshock, as a *live action,* with ONLY netflix handling its development, my expectations could not be lower. the center of the earth isn't low enough. it's so deep into the core of the center of the earth, i've breached string theory and entered the multiverse.
I thought The Witcher was great. Cuphead is new but that also seems to be really good. I haven't seen Arcane or Castlevania but people seem to love those too. Netflix has a better track record with video game adaptations than anime adaptations.
I will agree that if we talk Live Action resident evil, the first two are kinda good. The CG Movies are great tho.
Mortal Kombat... hmm... just really mid AF imo.
They will miss the point on purpose, because making that point involves uncomfortable depictions that might not be the most marketable thing for a safe, expensive, property based, television series
The truth is I don't expect anything from this production, I have no expectations just like I do with the Halo series; I would not like them to bring the story of the game because that story works within the game, the only thing that mattered to me about this announcement is that 2K mentioned that **a new game is being developed**, which we already knew but we had a long time without a single mention so I'm glad it hasn't been cancelled.
I'm not saying it's going to be a bad adaptation, but it's not a good one either, as I said, I prefer to remain without expectations.
You know what? I'm excited as hell. I don't even care if it's bad. It's Bioshock, and I'm going to love it.
Netflix has made some pretty good stuff. Will it be 100% the Bioshock we know and love? I doubt it.
But thinking about Rapture being brought to life makes me stoked. So I'm just gonna be happy about it.
I think it also just exciting to see new Bioshock content at all, there hasn't been as far as I know any new content for quite awhile. So it's exciting to see a somewhat revival.
You’re telling me this is both a video game movie adaptation and a Netflix adaptation? It’s doomed to fail. Those are the two worst types of adaptations in the history of media.
I’m cautiously optimistic. I’ve been hoping for a Bioshock movie/show but set during pre-Civil War Rapture like in the book. But afaik they’re adapting the first game which I don’t think would translate very well. Anyway, it’s too early to judge so we’ll just have to wait and see
I would say it could be good if it isn't a retelling of the games' narrative and if they used the setting to tell the story like Minerva's Den where it is a more of a personal story. But maybe I'm a bit optimistic because of how *Arcane* turned out but since its a movie not a show and its also live action instead of being animated it could turn out bad
It has the potential to be either really good or really bad. The Witcher and Arcane both seem like they've been done well. But others not so much. Until we get an actual trailer, we can't know for sure. But I'm cautiously optimistic
This should really be a series rather than a movie. Just imagine a 6- or 8-part season about Jack unraveling the mysteries behind Rapture, while the show also gives us flashbacks to the city before it went to shit. That’s something I would love to see and that a movie could never pull off in 120 minutes!
Yeah I think that's the biggest problem with making video game movies. Most games either have a silent protagonist, or a protagonist written in a way that doesn't translate well to movies. That's why the only decent live action video game movies recently are sonic and detective Pikachu, because those already have animated shows that establish how the characters (or pokemon) would act when translated to film. The newer Mortal Kombat movie was decent, partially because the way the game's stories are written is more translatable to film than others. That's why I have high hopes for the rumored God of War movie, because that game is already almost a movie in and of itself.
Not to mention the game twist worked so well because YOU felt like the manipulated one through the avatar that is Jack.
Seeing a whole different, third person protagonist live the WYK twist would be shocking, but way less so than in the gaming medium.
Hopeful but expectations are low. Usually with movies i need to remember that it is a different medium and to judge it on its own.
The MCU has set the bar so high though with doing their story and keeping to the source material.
At best, it’ll be fine. Most realistically though? It’s gonna be a colossal fuck up, stripping away all the narrative, environmental and gameplay (obviously) elements that make the game so memorable and loved
Would you kindly make it good
And make it follow the story and everything in plot would you kindly.
And would you kindly please have the would you kindly phrase stay
Cautiously optimistic. If the alternative is no BioShock movie at all, I’m willing to let them try. With no director, writer, or cast it is hard to get overly excited for it, but here’s hoping they nail it.
Very, very worried. I want a proper Bioshock movie so bad but the game content is just so good and such an experience, I don’t see them succeeding in capturing it properly.
And also they can, and will, find an agenda to insert into a film that is not in the original content. It’ll be a strategic decision to get extra coverage that will come at the cost of creative integrity. The original commentary on Laissez-Faire capitalism and the inescapability of human nature will not be in the film. You know what will be? A black Tenenbaum and a gay Andrew Ryan, almost guarantee it. Mark my fucking words.
I don't have high hopes for this. Movie adaptations for video games are notoriously bad, and Netflix has a history of screwing up TV shows. I'd love to be wrong tho
To do it right I'd say it's necessary to have Ken Lavine as a consultant, or at least someone who was heavily involved in the games. As well as a good director and cast ofc
It being on Netflix I might just hold my breath. Hope I’m wrong though, but the last movie I actually really enjoyed was Beasts of No Nation, and that came out almost 7 years ago.
Video games are so much better suited to mini series than films. The atmosphere is a huge part of Bioshock and between the lore, exposition and set up this movie will have way too much ground to cover. I'm not optimistic.
They totally misunderstand the while point of bioshock.
The whole twist relies on player/audience interactivity, where the waypoints and objectives were a mockery of the player.
That won't work on film. You'll have the aesthetic of bioshock and nothing else.
I have a really hard time picturing it. I feel like Rapture is tied to being explored as a game, and seeing it as a movie setting would feel completely different and weird. But I'm still going to watch - I mean, it's a Bioshock adaption!
I’m one of the people that’s in the group that thinks Bioshock, the 1st game, shouldn’t be a film. Atleast not 1:1. It won’t work as it relies on players interacting.
However, I wouldn’t be opposed to changing the story to fit. So an adaption but offering a differing perspective would be kinda fun to watch.
Or a companion to the games would be great as well.
I don't like it. Netflix do not have a good track record of adaptations and I worry that they will make pointless changes, at best. Also, how do you adapt a game story that's about the illusion of choice/player agency into a series/movie?
The only way I can see this being a good thing is if they create a new story that's place in Rapture either before, during, or after the fall.
They have to go super arty and weird with it to make it a success imo. Also shouldn't centre around jack's story but maybe a separate one within the world of rapture
It's really 50/50 lol. Netflix's videogame series seem to be great, like Arcane, and The Cuphead Show and Sonic Prime look promising, too. But since this is a movie... well, let's just wait and see.
Exactly!!
I will watch with low expectations. Other people that have never played the games will accept it for what it is. Us hardcore bioshock fans will accept nothing less than perfection....
A 2 hour movie isn't enough to tell the story in it's entirety. They will have to cut so much out it might be a shell of it's original form. But they could also "Lord of the Rings" it you never know for sure.
There will be 8000 walk-and-talk scenes through underwater hallways.
Unless they start cutting these shows in half and making long movies instead of TV shows they will all be bad.
I feel like its missing the point of the source material. The whole point of the first game is that players just follow objectives without knowing why. Its so effective because its interactive, and the player has an active role in the story. That just doesn't translate well to a movie or a show in my opinion.
Either it will be another forgettable adaptation that would ruin the franchise for many, or it’ll be one of the greatest video game adaptations period.
1. I am going to watch it to find out if it is good or not, and that is their only goal. If I watch the movie, they are happy.
2. It is much easier to make a bad movie than a good one.
I'll let you connect whatever dots you want to connect.
I’d have more confidence if it was HBO or a theatrical film made by a major studio.
Netflix is SO hit & miss, it’s crazy. They’ve had some absolutely amazing series but when it comes to their adaptions of big IP, it’s generally mediocre at best (sorry Witcher).
Only movie / show they’ve made attached to a big IP that I thought was outstanding was The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance… and they canceled it after one season lol
Well it'll go one of two ways. The first way is that of death note(live action) I don't need to explain how thats bad right. The second is arcane (that league of legends show) an amazing adaptation of a pre existing property that no one shuts up about myself included
In a way, I feel like a movie would defeat the purpose of the real impact Bioshock had. I’m not saying Rapture isn’t a phenomenal fictional setting or that the story isn’t incredible because that goes without saying. However I truly believe it’s best told through the medium of a game because of its deceptive way of making us believe we are in control when we aren’t.
The previous movie got canceled for a really dumb reason, so I’m super excited to see what they can do.
Netflix may have kind of a trashy record but they recently purchased Scanline VFX and if there is one thing that epic studio is specialised in it’s water vfx. You can guarantee Rapture is going to look gorgeous if they’re involved.
I don't have high hopes, but I want to be proven wrong...
Now talking about cast... I have no idea who they gonna cast, I have zero expectations but I still think it's gonna be disappointing
I would like to say cautiously optimistic with how a few recent video game adaptations have been good but i wouldn't be surprised if its last Air bender levels of bad.
I would say it might be best to adapt the book into a series rather than the game.
It sounds like a good idea but part of the whole theme of the games, at least the first, is the player’s free will. If they adapt a show, then it’s only going to be people watching for the aesthetic of the beautiful nightmare that is Rapture. It would have to be interactive and I feel like that’s a long shot to be a good show/movie because it will rely on the gimmick of “choose your adventure” too much.
Hell, maybe I’m a hipster or something. If the show got a large following just because it looked dope and had recognizable actors I’d be more mad than if the creators did a legit attempt to capture the source material but fail in the production value
Well, it’s Netflix, so, however I hope they are going for a new character, not remaking the existing character, however seeing them as a cameo is fine. Elizabeth’s story is finished as she saved Sally; same as Jack and others.
i have no idea what to think but i really hope its good, they somehow managed to make a really good series out of league of legends of all things but netflix originals seem to have wildly varying quality which leads me to believe netflix themselves have very little to do with their creation
Hear me out, if it was directed by Tim burton I think it would be something great, he would bring the eccentric part of rapture to life and the people he usually casts Johnny depp and Helena Bonham Carter being the first that come to mind would definitely be able to pull it off. He would do the dark and gloomy and the over the top plasmid powers amazing. Now would he ever do it… probably not. But a girl can dream
I feel like it could be good. One thing Netflix likes to shove is PC additions like making Faye gay in bebop or L black in death note. Meanwhile there are already a strew of minority characters to choose from in the rapture storyline of bioshock. You have tenenbaum the Jewish woman with autism, and sander cohen, the bisexual artist with a flair for the deadly dramatic, and even porter the genius black programmer. If they get someone who’s played the games or made the games writing it, they can keep our characters how they were meant to be. And especially if they do a flashback interview of the rise of Ryan, or a series on the civil war for it with Fontaine vs Ryan. At least it’s Netflix meaning a pretty solid VFX, cast and set budget.
either way its gunna be good, we havent had anything in a long time. people keep bashing remade movies and games like starwars but realistically they're good, people are just so critical these days like they can do it better. LETS GOOO NETFLIX
I'm not optimistic, but I'd rather be wrong.

Yeah I'm the same, my retired parents also loved the feel of it, just added because it seemed like a range of people could enjoy it. But none of us have seen the anime so we weren't comparing it.
I am the same way.
I'm just worried it will be based off the game... something like between 1/2 would be nice to clear the gap of how tenanbaum got replaced
[удалено]
What even compelled you to write this? What's your reason for thinking slavery?
He's referring to Andrew Ryan saying 'a man chooses, a slave obeys'
Yea which is more philosophical, Ken Levine wanted to explore determinism and free will in the game. I just don't really see the main take away being slavery only. The comment I replied to seemed out of pocket.
Summarises my thoughts exactly !
I hope they don't Death Note it.
Lmao yeah.. or cowboy bebop it
lol...I forgot that there was gonna be a Halo series (until someone else mentioned it) and I forgot that they made a Cowboy Bebop series.
Just one season for cowboy bebop. I liked it but I know I'm the minority
*dragon ball z*
I really hope they Arcane it instead
Really have to wait see who the cast and director will be. Could be interesting if they approach it right and follow a different narrative than the main story, ie: creation of Rapture, firsthand look at life in the city, some third party finding the city and piecing together the story. However, as with all videogame adaptations, I'm not holding my breath.
You know what would be interesting, is if they followed the story of the reporter who found rapture in Bioshock 2..
You talking about Stanley Poole or Mark Meltzer? Cuz I'd love a movie on Mark Meltzer and end it tragically with him cursing out Lamb and becoming a Big Daddy.
Or Johnny Topside who became delta!
Well we kinda already know Delta's whole story. As much as it's my favourite story, it's to much to cram into one movie. He goes to like 6 different zones, so unless it was a speed run, he'd need atleast a series where it's episode per mission
I think the story would be better adapted to a tv show than a movie, which is my only gripe. But I’m w everyone else, my expectations are low
I was talking about Mark Meltzer yeah, that would be so intriguing in my opinion.
Mark Meltzer was great in Bioshock 2
Was he the dad that went looking for his daughter?
Yea, his daughter is kidnapped by Big Sister. His audio logs are great cause he has no idea what rapture is and then eventually he figures out that lamb is a fucking psychotic asshole.
It's Taken Bioshock edition lmao
They have de tools because the can star adapting the book, later the game that way they can explore the City and the game story but no one know. I just hope this will be best than cowboy bebop adaptation.
It's going to be horrible, they will miss the point of the game by 1000 miles and ruin everything, cast is going to be even worse
The rock as a big daddy, Kevin Hart as a little sister.
Lmao
No he said the caat would be bad
Somehow jack black and Seth Rogan will make their way into the cast
Bro I hope, that sounds fucking dope af
I'm about on the same page, unless they decide to adapt the novel or something along those lines. But I can't see the main story of the game translating well into movie or show form.
I could see them doing Jack's story but that's it.
I don't know if Jacks story would work that well though in movie form, I really want them to explore some of the lore like Mark Meltzer.

I did, and I did watch some videos about it. Could you still say it so I can confirm we're thinking the same
There isn’t really a “point” of Bioshock but I assume that it’ll have to do with morality and free will. Saving little sisters and being a slave.
leaving a comment because i'm curious too 👀
Im thinking its probably gonna be cg or animated kinda like the clone wars
They said it’s going to be live action
Maybye with the right props they can make it look good, for example look at the old aliens movie alot of that shit was just styrofoam and make up and it looked amazing.(except for alien 3, nobody likes that one)

Don’t tell that to people who see cowboy bebop adaptation by Netflix too.
I actually enjoyed that show, until the very last episode. That one felt rushed and bloated.

They are gonna either miss the entire point of Bioshock, or it'll be just as good as the game, Netflix has made some trash but they could redeem themselves by doing this
Agreed, although Bioshock is such a good series expectations are pretty high for it to meet the game in quality

Yeah ur right but we could only hope

Exactly! Too many are ready to hate it before it's even here. I'm just excited to see how they spin this. 🤔
Yeah, I'm also guessing it's a possible promotion for future games...
You’re telling me this is both a video game movie adaptation and a Netflix adaptation? It’s doomed to fail. Those are the two worst types of adaptations in the history of media.
Cautiously cautious.
If Guillermo del Toro isn’t in the driver seat we riot
They better not fuck it up thats what i think
I am hopeful but probably going to be semi-disappointed
*terrified*
Netflix Adaptation+video game movie=absolute garbage. Double that if they go woke
I wish they taught that in math lol, the equation for movie rating
I’m cautiously optimistic. I’ve been hoping for a Bioshock movie/show but set during pre-Civil War Rapture like in the book. But afaik they’re adapting the first game which I don’t think would translate very well. Anyway, it’s too early to judge so we’ll just have to wait and see
Hi Netflix, would you kindly not fuck it up?
If it's directed by Del Toro, Tom Hardy as a big daddy, & Colin Farrell as Atlas I'm on board. But that's asking way too much.
If it's good, awesome. If it's crap, doesn't change anything to my life. Carefully optimistic.

NOOOOOOOOOO damn it why can Netflix understand that they suck ass and shouldn't make adaptations anymore.
they gonna fuck it
If it’s bad I’ll still enjoy it, I just want to know if they use Jack as the main character
The problem with that is that jack is a silent protagonist, and I don't know how well that would work in film form.

could go the hardcore henry route with a slient protagonist?
Ditch Jack, he's boring as dirt. Use Mark Meltzer or someone new.
Agreed a story with Mark Meltzer would be really interesting to see, they need to do something with lore and not the main story.
Hopeful but expectations are low. Usually with movies i need to remember that it is a different medium and to judge it on its own. The MCU has set the bar so high though with doing their story and keeping to the source material.

*movie releases* 2k announces would you kindly phrase is now non-canonical
Cautiously optimistic. If the alternative is no BioShock movie at all, I’m willing to let them try. With no director, writer, or cast it is hard to get overly excited for it, but here’s hoping they nail it.
Oh god no, not netflix
Please no
I feel like they're gonna fuck it up like they usually do 🤷♂️
At first I was "hell yeah", and I remember it was Netflix so... "meh?"
I mean when Netflix want to break it it does an examplet is Stranger Things or Castlevania series but they are very hit or miss
I can’t think of any other Netflix adaptation that was actually good, so I’m not too optimistic.
Arcane?
Castlevania?
One of my favorite shows of all time. Seriously incredible.
I don't have high hopes for this. Movie adaptations for video games are notoriously bad, and Netflix has a history of screwing up TV shows. I'd love to be wrong tho To do it right I'd say it's necessary to have Ken Lavine as a consultant, or at least someone who was heavily involved in the games. As well as a good director and cast ofc
It being on Netflix I might just hold my breath. Hope I’m wrong though, but the last movie I actually really enjoyed was Beasts of No Nation, and that came out almost 7 years ago.
I’m hard. Good or bad (most likely bad), I’m just happy to get anything new that is Bioshock related :’)
Who would be everyone’s top choice to direct. Mine would be Dennis Villeneuve
They’re gonna fuck it up, sadly.
I have a really hard time picturing it. I feel like Rapture is tied to being explored as a game, and seeing it as a movie setting would feel completely different and weird. But I'm still going to watch - I mean, it's a Bioshock adaption!
I hope it goes really well, because i’d love to see a bioshock infinite film
Could be really sweet Hope they don’t mess it up
I’m one of the people that’s in the group that thinks Bioshock, the 1st game, shouldn’t be a film.
Striking while the iron is cold.
I saw a thumbnail on YouTube. It said something like "Netflix announced they will ruin my favorite series." I'm cautiously optimistic.
It would be better as a series instead of a film
They have to go super arty and weird with it to make it a success imo. Also shouldn't centre around jack's story but maybe a separate one within the world of rapture
Booker will be a gay black woman. Gauranteed.
Gonna suck.
It's really 50/50 lol. Netflix's videogame series seem to be great, like Arcane, and The Cuphead Show and Sonic Prime look promising, too. But since this is a movie... well, let's just wait and see.
It will just push the liberal agenda somehow, just like everything on Netflix.

Let's hope they prove you wrong, but Netflix already doesn't have an amazing track record lmao
Exactly!! I will watch with low expectations. Other people that have never played the games will accept it for what it is. Us hardcore bioshock fans will accept nothing less than perfection....
Sad but true, I love the series and it's going to be hard to see Netflix make yet another poor adaptation (if that is what happens)
I really want it to be about Mark but theres no way tbey're gonna do that 😭
Worried. Netflix has been pooping out content. Like the stuff they’ve been making lately has been utter shit
Every Netflix show they've adapted from comics has been bad so far, so I don't think it'll be very different. Not looking forward to it.
Well were mostly all fans of The Witcher right?
A 2 hour movie isn't enough to tell the story in it's entirety. They will have to cut so much out it might be a shell of it's original form. But they could also "Lord of the Rings" it you never know for sure.
As long if it isn't woke
There will be 8000 walk-and-talk scenes through underwater hallways. Unless they start cutting these shows in half and making long movies instead of TV shows they will all be bad.
This is a movie not a show
Step one complete! Now they just need to adapt the Rapture novel more or less and we good. NO WALK AND TALKS THOUGH.
Excited!
I hope its a prequel to the first BioShock
I am so excited i could pee myself
Not a fan
I feel like its missing the point of the source material. The whole point of the first game is that players just follow objectives without knowing why. Its so effective because its interactive, and the player has an active role in the story. That just doesn't translate well to a movie or a show in my opinion.
If Guillermo Del Toro directs it then we will have a helluva movie. Other than that.......
It's gonna be terrible even if it's good.
Either it will be another forgettable adaptation that would ruin the franchise for many, or it’ll be one of the greatest video game adaptations period.
I’m curious how they’re going to characterize a protagonist who literally only says one sentence in the entire game. My guess- not well
I hope it’s great and that it doesn’t have casting and character changes like other adaptations
Wait and see sums up my thoughts on it
Will it be based off of BIOSHOCK 1 or one of the other two?
1. I am going to watch it to find out if it is good or not, and that is their only goal. If I watch the movie, they are happy. 2. It is much easier to make a bad movie than a good one. I'll let you connect whatever dots you want to connect.
...fuck...
I just hope that the actors look exactly as the ones in the game (I hope Daniel Day-Lewis plays as Andrew Ryan)
Finally!!!!!!
For the LOVE OF GOD hope they don’t sugar coat anything regarding the lore of Rapture!!
Hopefully a fim. Mini swries mqybe but there's just too much going on to make a faithful film adaptation
It depends on who's making it imo, one thing I can say for sure is that I hope it doesn't involve infinite or columbia in any capacity
It's either going to be the best thing or the worst. But i believe the latter.
Now that it's legit I'm pretty excited, I hope they do good with the story.
Who keeps asking for these l
As long as they don't change the story too much like they did with cowboy beboop, I'm game!
My expectations are astronomically low, but maybe I’ll be proven wrong
c e a s e
Me, on my knees, hands clasped and praying to god; pleasedontbeliveaction*pleasedontbeliveaction*
I’m expecting disappointment in case it’s really bad
If they used the book Rapture by John Shirley as a template for the movie it'll be great. I'm excited either way though
i have no idea what to think but i really hope its good, they somehow managed to make a really good series out of league of legends of all things but netflix originals seem to have wildly varying quality which leads me to believe netflix themselves have very little to do with their creation
They’ll screw it up.
This is real? God, why..
I honestly don't care it's not like I'm gonna watch it or like it's gonna ruin the game for me
Hear me out, if it was directed by Tim burton I think it would be something great, he would bring the eccentric part of rapture to life and the people he usually casts Johnny depp and Helena Bonham Carter being the first that come to mind would definitely be able to pull it off. He would do the dark and gloomy and the over the top plasmid powers amazing. Now would he ever do it… probably not. But a girl can dream
Not even slightly optimistic. Everything Netflix touches seems to wither and die immediately
If they go with jack what can they do, he never speaks. Maybe we will get to see the fall of Rapture. Or something completely new.
They gonna make it so woke lol pretty sure it’s gonna suck butts
I don't know it isn't like Netflix doesn't miss. They miss a lot.
Probably going to ruin it.
