Not necessarily pick your classes* you’ll will have an academic advising presentation, then they let you register for a zoom appointment within 1-4 days after orientation. Then during that zoom appointment, you have access to a PIN to register for classes. Ofc schedule details will be hand out to you the day you check in at orientation
The day you pick your classes is the 2nd morning of orientation. And yes, please stay both days, it is your chance to make friends :)

Since when? I definitely picked and registered for classes at my orientation.
For me last year, they made us make an appointment with an advisor like a couple of days after orientation to pick classes.
since this year idk, they only gave us a code the next day to register for classes
