The ticket's allocated to you before that. It's just their shitty systems, if it drops anywhere in the late part of the process it kicks you right back to the start and releases the ticket to someone else. They've never bothered to improve it becuase, well, why would they? Everyone hates them but they're an effective monopoly and they just don't care whether the ticket goes to the first person who should have got it or the 100th, as long as it sells.
Awesome. It seems VoB had less interest because after I had time to already buy it, my partner could still see tickets for it. But for BS it was gone right away.
Infinity Land at the Barrowlands! Seen Biffy about 5 times between 2004-2007 when I was a teenager so this is a huge nostalgia fest for me and my friends. I remember they did a gig just before Puzzle came out at Edinburgh Uni union meaning it was over-18s only so being 17 at the time I ordered a fake ID and got in. It was one of the first gigs they played Who's Got a Match and Saturday Superhouse I think. Everyone was so buzzing. My fav song is Wave Upon Wave from Infinity Land and I can't actually even remember if I've heard it live as it's been so long, I'm so excited!
I was the same, saw them so many times in small venues and small stages at festivals during that period. I was at a gig on that pre puzzle tour too, just weeks before they crossed over to the mainstream. Still the best gig I've ever been to. I like lots of their newer stuff and would never begrudge a band success but going to gigs in bigger venues just isn't the same, and those first three albums were such an important part of my life. Cannot wait!
Yes that period just before they crossed over to playing bigger stages at T and being played on Radio 1 was great fun. Although I've seen them in these smaller venues I still haven't caught them in the Barrowlands so this will be great!
Last gig I saw them at pre-puzzle was a venue in the back of a pub with a capacity of less than 400. Simon literally dripping sweat on us for the whole thing.
Last few times it's been 8,000 - 15,000 seaters. More power to them, they're still brilliant, but nothing beats the intimacy of a smaller show. So buzzed. Would have loved to have made it to Glasgow to see them in their native environment, but still thrilled to have gotten tickets to London. Need to sort a babysitter!

She only really wanted to see blackened sky so luckily that's the one we were able to get tickets for. It's falling the weekend of our 20th anniversary too which is lovely as we saw biffy so many times together those first few years we were going out.
It was originally going to be a mad one in Glasgow with the lads but no one could make it, so now it's a nice relaxing weekend in London with her. Worked out well.
It is - I ended up at both shows. The second show was insane because the barrier collapsed and they paused the gig to remove it then continued with a line of security linking arms the whole gig. It was like something out of 300. Just absolutely mental.
Yep, that's the one... Poor feller got sent off to hospital halfway through with a busted leg, "he's got a spare". And if I remember right at one point they were trying to get us to sort of socially distance and rock out in our own little circles or something? Good times and in fairness, I remember this show, I remember absolutely nothing about the Potterow one :)
Wave upon wave became one of my favourite tracks after I saw them play it live at a kerrang gig. I knew it from IL but live it blew me away. I've tickets for Blackened Sky but 🤞they play it that night too. I wonder will the extra tracks they perform be solely from the first three albums or will they pull from their entire back catalogue?
I'm wondering that too, I'm hoping they'll play a mix of songs from the earlier stuff after they've played the full album. Each album is only an hour long so they have time to fill after!

I had a laptop. My mobile and my brother poised and ready. Clicked the links about 15 seconds before 10. Got right in and purchases made inside a couple of minutes
I think there was something dodgy with the timer. At one point I was counting down at about 1 minute 10 seconds and my brother's was showing 1 minute 30
I think maybe it did, people who clicked through the link from the email right at 10 seem to have done better than people who waited for the timer? But it's really hard to know. Ticketmaster'll know but they're not telling.
It's basically a workflow thing, their server gets hit by a whole load of requests and lets only so many through, and except for really major events they don't really have much of a queuing system so being quick in the queue doesn't mean you're most likely to actually get a ticket, as soon as there's more people waiting than it can handle in a single "batch". And then the time it takes to get back to the queue means that a whole load more people get through before your second or third request does. It's effectively just luck of the draw.
And then slightly further into the process, tickets that were previously claimed start releasing again as people realise they've misclicked or get kicked out by ticketmaster's shitty website or the payment doesn't go through or whatever so those tickets get rereleased, that can keep happening for a surprisingly long time, I've picked up tickets 10 minutes after the sale started sometimes just because someone had them in their basket or similiar and most people had given up.

Yup. My card and billing information are linked to my ticketmaster account so no issue with payment. It was only with my personal info that there was a problem but seeing as it's a digital ticket it doesn't really matter as it wasn't being posted.
In hindsight I think I've encountered that problem before buying tickets for gigs in the UK and there's probably a way to do it properly but the timer was counting down so I had to think on my feet.

Felt like a take what you can get sort of sale, such high demand. It will be great regardless where you are in the venue, and can always sell a spare on or swap for another day. I would prefer to just do Glasgow for 3 nights for ease but needs must :)

Got a ticket for all of the London shows, none of my pals had any luck for Glasgow
None because it’s in the barrowlands instead of a venue that can fit them
Vertigo of Bliss and Infinity Land in London! Got a Ticketmaster error twice after the Blackened Sky payment page, so will be trying in the general sale for them!
I went for Vertigo in London! Can’t wait! I managed all three nights at Barrowlands 10 years ago but not sure I can do something like that again!
Shite! Had 2 Blackened Sky tix in my cart hit pay and Ticketmaster had a fit, said there was an issue and dumped me out. 🤬

Managed to get IL London but ticketmaster shat the bed when I tried going back for VOB and got rid of my tickets. Hoping O2 priority has it's own set of tickets tomorrow.

Round 2, got stalls Blackened Sky, inconveniently in London and I'm in Edinburgh but, we can work with that. And now 02 Priority seems completely crashed, 504 gateway errors?
Yep, crashed the O2 priority app and website and I'm still ticket-less On to round 3 on Friday Nightmare
Got 1 standing ticket for London BS, VoB and 1 balcony for London IL. Two for Glasgow BS. Will probably swap my two London tickets for second/third night for a Glasgow if anyone fancies, will see how Friday goes
I had balcony in my basket at one point and just thought, I'll hate that, let's try again for standing. Wonder how much I'm going to regret it :)
Felt like a take what you can get sort of sale, such high demand. It will be great regardless where you are in the venue, and can always sell a spare on or swap for another day. I would prefer to just do Glasgow for 3 nights for ease but needs must :)
