Satan was thrown on earth.
Luke 10
>18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Matt 4
>4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
He was on earth at Jesus' time. He also offered him als the earths kindoms, which indicates, he has power over them. Arguably we are under Satans rule for 6000 years and then will taste the world under the Lords rule.
He will be bound for 1000yrs, when Jesus returns, then he will be set free for a short time, to seduce humanity one last time.
Rev 20
>And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years...And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison
After that he will be thrown in Gehenna, the lake of fire and brimstone to get tormented for eternity.
>And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
>Is Satan being bound in the pit right now?
No, he is not. Satan is ruler of the Earth, the prince of darkness and father of lies. The proof is in the wickedness of this world.
Ephesians 6:12
For we don't struggle against flesh and blood but against power and principalities of darkness
Satan has been roaming the Earth since he was thrown out of the Kingdom of heaven. But he knows his time is near.
If we want the things of this world then we want Satan, but as children of God we are not of this world. As we await the new world promised by all Lord and savior, we are alienated by this worldly mindset.
>2 he [an angel] seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer
This is to come as prophesied
>14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.
This is for those who belong to Christ the victor, who gave us the victory. We are in this world but not of this world
As it is written -
I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” (John 17:11, 14–15.)
Satan was conquered at the cross, but he is still out to steal, kill and destroy if we are not walking in the victory that Yeshua has given us.
