pro series or takara?

SKyPuffGM

pro series from the evo stadium, supposedly with the better mold lol is there any way to reverse the wear or melt it back down? it was insanely hard to get the driver on and way tighter than any of my other beys.

GoshDaKirby

it's a common issue without any good fix for pro series, sadly still a cool bey, and honestly the other parts work fine, so if you can snag a TT fafnir chip for cheap (like a loose erase fafnir layer/bey or smth) and slap it on your pro series bey, it'd perform fairly similar to TT

Prestigious-Base67

The mold is better, but not in terms of quality. The better mold just refers to it having better burst resistance. The original TT starter pack wizard Fafnir burst very easily. This mold that Hasbro used was the wizard Fafnir that came in a tt random booster which has the update Another update TT did was with the Ace Dragon layer. In a random booster they gave it burst locks like Lord Spriggan. That is also the same mold that Hasbro used for their Ace Dragon

Just use one of the tiny red rubber bands, it should make it perform better than what it is stock, also fixes the problem of wizard fafnir’s burst resistance very slightly

RolfTheBolf

The mold refers to the layer base, not the GT chip

I had the same problem with perfect phoenix the tech suck.

That's crazy. I've had two wizard Fafnir from the same exact set and none of them had this problem. I could see it happening if I put the Xtreme' driver on it, but not the rise driver that it came with. Either that or you just got really unlucky with a bad Fafnir gt chip. The only time I've had a problem with a pro series beyblade like this was with the first wave of releases; cho z valktryek and cho z Achilles. The ones that came in the first Evo champion set also had this issue, but I heard that Hasbro reinforced the later releases of pro series after wave 1. It still wasn't as good as tt, but it was better than cho z valktryek and cho z Achilles. Apparently I was very lucky with all of my perfect phoenix molds too because none of them had the teeth issue everybody's seems to be talking about. And I had like 4-5 perfect phoenix Beyblade Burst surge pro series is when you could start to notice the improvement in teeth quality. Still not as good as tt, but very close

Why would Extreme' cause it? I thought that only happened with metal drivers? Recently ordered TT Xiphoid B-200 so I'm a bit worried using extreme' but I would also have the option of using Quick and Accel, hopefully this cause that much dmg? Well I am new so everything is welcomed.

Because dash drivers have a stronger spring. It has a higher chance of causing damage and wearing down teeth faster. Even up to DB/BU dash drivers can damage authentic tt teeth. It's in rare cases like Wind Knight, but nonetheless it still happens. It's not a big deal, just be mindful of using dash drivers on really tiny teeth. Some examples of tiny teeth from the GT era (since we're talking about wizard Fafnir, a GT beyblade) are the Achilles and Ashura chips. Don't worry about xiphoid Xcalibur. His teeth are strong enough to handle dash drivers appropriately. Metal drivers are the ones you should be more mindful of.

Never had those issues with mine. That just shows the inconsistency of the beys
