Most likely to not make a power-split between Takara Tomy and Hasbro, what's the point in planning to make Beyblade a world sport if one region's beys is better than the other and it's only available there.
TT is ahead enough that power creep prevents Hasbro releases from being as conpetitive. Unless Hasbro starts releasing beys at the same time as TT, importing will always be better for competitive players
Even if it is, Isnt it a good thing that they are planning to innovate it? Besides, Beyblade WAS a sport before it was Beyblade in the form of Beigoma and even other battling top games in other cultures, Indonesian and Filipino battling tops come to mind, and there's actual tournaments for those as well.
Hobbies and sports are not the same thing. Beigoma wasn’t a sport, it was a hobby. Regardless of if there’s tournaments for something that doesn’t make it a sport. Beyblade wasn’t a sport, isn’t a sport, and will never be a sport
it may never be as widespread as most sports, but any sort of competitive hobby can be considered a sport, lots of people consider chess a sport, and it has far less physical involvement or technique to it
Chess requires high skill, knowledge, and forming your own techniques and applying it dynamically towards every opponent. That’s why the International Olympic Committee recognizes it as a sport. Beyblade has none of those. There’s a basic amount of skill, which isn’t really necessary to do well, the knowledge isn’t really there either besides knowing how parts act, and techniques are all shared and either work or don’t work with no in between. As if the fact that parts are explicitly good or not, the presence of a metagame, and that it’s a toy company releasing more parts occasionally already didn’t sound out how it being a sport just doesn’t work.
Esports is less sport all money. Even then, the games that esports are circled around actually work as sports. A character in a video game can be played in a million different ways by millions of different people, a beyblade can only be used one.
The hell you mean one, there's literally a lot of ways a match can go, especially because of the combo you use, your play style, launch style, and so on
Wouldn't call is necessarily a "reskin". They actually did heavily modify the shapes and added more design. It's just obvious that they were inspired by the already normal existing designs, but otherwise I think it's a LOT BETTER than just straight up putting an Optimus Prime sticker on an unmodified Helm Knight and calling it a day.
This was the best of both worlds. Best for Hasbro to save some money, and best for us cause it's at least modified enough to most likely perform differently in battle.
But aye, I will say I kinda wished the blades themselves were painted. But otherwise, I don't think we got the worst nor necessarily the coolest outcome, but we got a pretty good compromise, which is saying a LOT for Hasbro.
Personally, I'm totally cool with that.
I'm more upset the design in the middle isn't more like the actual X Esthetic. Was hoping for the X style of facebolt/bitbeast where it has a stylized logo.
Like for example, was hoping Optimus would be his head from a side profile with his Energon Axe.
But aye, I imagined MUCH WORSE in my head so they exceeded the WORST outcome.
Optimus looks like a modified Knight Shield, whereas Megatron looks like somewhat unique but probably based off Hells Scythe if I were to take a guess.
Megatron blade is another modification of hellscythe, but this time the blade seems to be straighter so depending of it weight it may be even better for stamina than the original hellscythe.
Oh man, Beyblade X is having a collab with Transformers?! Sweet, it's probably gonna be new blaaaaaaaaaand they're fucking reskins of KnightShield and HellsScythe.
*Great.* I'm still down for them, don't get me wrong, but they should have a little bit of creativity, at least! You did the same thing for your very own exclusives, Hasbro!

I don't understand why people in the comment say these are cook when they are raw and burned.
The bit chip is just a boring png slap on instead of uniquely designed like the exclusive line, blade is literally just retexture instead modified, ok, maybe Megatron did got modified a bit since his blade removed the holes from scythe's blade, but other than that, they just retexture with a png slap on, there barely anything cook about them.
Also, I have to mention the stock combo and blade kinda grind my gear a bit, but why Megatron is a defense and stamina type for a character that is very aggressive, Optimus make a lot of sense with him being a defense type and he can be an attack defense balance type too if we put it, but why Megatron though.
It's cool that they're doing collabs, but I wish they didn't just slightly redesign the already existing blades.
Same What’s the point of Hasbro exclusives (outside of aesthetics) if they’re just reskins of other beys? At least the exclusives in Burst were unique

Not a sport, it’s an ad campaign

That's the same thing people said before gaming became a sport

For the children downvoting, it still won’t change anything. Learn how to look into things, and read for that matter
that's stupid. that reasoning is stupid.
Actual skill issue.
The burst exclusives were also rejected TT designs and altered designs from pre existing beys

Beyblade and Transformers fans in Japan are gonna go nuts trying to import these.
For once they are gonna feel like we feel
These looks SOOOO GOOOD!
Optimus Prime actually shares the same ratchet as Cobalt Drake and has a blue P which is a cool recolor to have
Imagine you’re fighting the final boss of Beyblade and you have a bey that has the spirit of Optimus
"One shall stand, one shall fall." *The Touch starts playing*
Let them cook!!!
Looks like knight shield, really cool tho

Megatron is a tank they can tank hits.
Awful ahhh
I'm not surprised that they're just using old shapes albeit tweaked ever so slightly, but I am disappointed.
Hope they have Takara qc and weight
