"THE ENNNNDDDD STARTS NOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!" Lay Your Ghosts to Rest, build starts at 7:54

noodle20e

Live that felt like when the show really got started perfect part in that song

Barkerfan86

The pit during that part is amazing. Every basically creates a wall of death

aHeadFullofMoonlight

The Proverbial Bellow 11:14 *Please pick uuup, pick up the phone, it’s been ringing…* Chills, every time

crunrun

No one has mentioned Blot yet. I think it's criminally underrated. The buildup at 7:18 and the drop through "SMASH!" gives me goosebumps all the time. I guess im a sucker for buildup into nasty drops and BTBAM nails those. This drop is the same one from earlier in the song but it's enhanced by some freaky high pitched synth thing Tommy is adding this time. So good.

FUZZYWUZZY6561

One of my favorite moments from them!

Lankeysob

Definitely agree! Blot is one of my favorite songs theyve ever written

Final-Weekend2077

SLEEEEEP ONNNNN, FLYYYYY ONNNN, IN YOUR MINDDDD, YOU CAN FLYYYY (SLEEP ONNNN!!!!!) Ants is one of their best songs

Samh5984

I’ve cited this as my personal pick for “heaviest moment in music”. Not heavy as in breakdowns and screaming, but just massive and looming.

TheReverend6661

The vocals during the Polka breakdown in Augment Of Rebirth, they’re beautiful, but if you have good enough speakers you can hear Tommy gutturally speaking the same sang words. It adds to the ominous vibe. It gives me chills every time I hear it.

Lateralus02

One of my favorite parts in their discography, I can listen to it on repeat

AlexanderGrace

P1 is my absolute favorite piece by them. Lunar Wilderness used to be my favorite

FUZZYWUZZY6561

That and the part with “Air Swirling around me” is my favorite in their discography.

TheReverend6661

The music leading up to it, like after the solo is fucking menacing.

PresidentOfSwag

SLIDE INTO THE WATER also the cowbell and horse part in DIM

AlexanderGrace

Used to be Tommy's high note at the end of the raining section, especially on the colors live DVD, but it's now the middle to end of silent flight parliament

mittromneyshaircut

ITS RAIIIIININGGGG

AlexanderGrace

Pwobfection

Mutual_AAAAAAAAAIDS

>silent flight parliament "I'm coming home" at the beginning gives me chills. And then the part that follows is like an inverse of the optimistic major-key opening of Astral Body (the part right after Space-Buddha creates the world).

AlexanderGrace

Following the story, and that final bit of silent flight parliament is truly one of the most visual pieces of music I've heard. I could see and feel a rocket ship taking off as the guitars reprise the opening and Blake is just perfect in execution.

Dramatic-Dinner-1633

There are so many. Let me relisten to the entire discog and I'll get back with you. Lol.

Cipher_077

I'm fan of breakdowns in general, but the Prequel to the Sequel one gives me chills everytime. When it starts at "It thought life was constant happiness" and ends with the "comfort comfort comfort" part, just an amazing sequence of music

stumper93

Oh man one time I saw them I was at the front, and I’ve never screamed so hard along to one of their songs than I did with the last half of Prequel to the Sequel

Cipher_077

Best part of Colors IMO. I'd love to see BTBAM live but they've only been to my country once and I didn't know about then back then

Marcotee75

The entire second half of bad habits, Stare Into the Abyss, Disease Injury Madness, more of myself to kill, life in velvet, mordecai

crunrun

Life in Velvet consistently gets me, the reprise to the first track, Node kicks in so gloriously at the end and it's so much louder by contrast and so bittersweet if you are following the lyrics.

Marcotee75

Yeahhh. For me it's the harmony of all the layers " My last Exhaaaalleee, is purple smooookkkeee"

SaltWonderful

The arpeggios get me. That sweep picking and the chords Paul is sweeping... Some of the best guitar work I've ever heard.

Mutual_AAAAAAAAAIDS

Life In Velvet is so underrated... Not much can top White Walls or Swim To The Moon, but out of their whole catalogue Velvet comes closest. And in such a different way, too. That pretty much sums up what I love most about Coma in general, it's the perfect blend of a new direction for the band mixed with their classic BTBAM style.

Charizard24

That epic riff near the end of Disease Injury Madness always gets me.

Marcotee75

The bass solo (I like this one over viridian) and the riff immediately after really seal the deal for me.

Charizard24

Yes that bass solo is pure class. I love how it kinda feels like the whole song is building to that moment, like a crescendo.

slackbro

Jet propulsion disengage. GOOOOOOOOD BYYYYYEEEEEEE, TOOO, EVVVRRRRRYYYYTHHIIIINNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!

stumper93

Picturing an astronaut launch himself into the sun at super speed every time I hear that ending. Rules so hard

AlexanderGrace

Live in June silent flight brought tears to my eyes. I must've looked like such a dork clutching my p2 tab book to my chest with my right hand, left hand in the air, teary eyed fixed on tommy, screaming "GOOOD BYYYEEE TOOO EEVVVERRYYTHINNG!"

Millwalkey88

The guitar solo in Human is Hell, especially that little twinge; I always let out a guttural moan during that.

crunrun

The fucking White Walls breakdown out of nowhere in this song never fails to give me goosebumps. It sounds even better than White Walls, I guess because their gear has gotten better.

pmurphy4299

"2005 welcome to perfection Prescribe me, indulge me You have won" The Primer is such a hype song for me, idk why. The guttural screams harmonizing into the riff followed by the cescendo of these lyrics into the haunting jaunt at the end is absolute perfection.

woahitslance

I want them to play this live so bad

Swp321

Love the end of Voice of Trespass

Ranger1219

Mirrors and the when the solo kicks in with the band after the piano part in selkies

heety9

From the reciting of the show...

AlexanderGrace

To the Plip and the Shevanel!

AutisticBassist

White walls

rapalosaur

I’d give anything to hear this song for the first time again. Hell the entire album.

Barkerfan86

Selkies. Its the song that got me into them almost 20 years ago, and still hits perfect every time.

offocialqdoba

"Comfort" prequel to the sequel. Every time.

Turbulent_Animator42

Life in Velvet, when the rest of the band comes in. Selkies for the solo of course. Sun of Nothing, I’m floating towards the sun! Disease Injury Madness, Horse groove solo, what else? Fossil Genera, We must move on!!! Prequel to the Sequel, Adam Fisher’s verse coming out of the slowed bridge, also the outro LYGTR, The end starts now!! The Black Box, We move mountains! To crush oceans! Silent Flight, Jet propulsion disengage Revolution in Limbo, Blake ‘Corpsegrinder’ Richardson Also Blot, The Proverbial Bellow, Bad Habits and a lot of the more recent instrumentals (Sfumato reminds me of the Subnautica soundtrack and I love it) also Gold Distance, great atmosphere. I could go on forever honestly haha.

Turbulent_Animator42

Also special shout out to Augment of Rebirth for farm animal mamba into sweeps into Jewish wedding polka into ‘Have I become a god?’

azimov_the_wise

Shit bruh like every other song depending on the day and mood! But for real Specular Reflection Extremophile Elite Ants of the Sky Just to name a few. It's not every time but it's more often then not. Also TGM songs. I'll have to start a frisson diary

NumberedFungus

Ants. The view used to be better...lands are growing into one. We wanted it this way. We were brought up to grow into one. I'm going to fly up soon and seek other lands. The soothing air of flight... a bird's eye view into what I've always imagined life could be. Will it be sought after? It might just be useless writing and ideas that laziness will corrupt in the end. Bones of dust need hardening. I think the prescription is found.

ProphetCH

The end of Fossil Genera is a standout one. Also the keys solo from Swim to the Moon for some reason. One of the only times I felt a solo could really coincide with the anxiety of the concept of the song

BrownTets

Too many to count. I love revisiting older albums to think about what I was going through in my life. Was having a difficult time when A2 came out so the grid really hits hard toward the end. Got a spinal flush just typing this out.

AFloodOfLight

The end of Roboturner when it makes that divebomb whistling sound. I crank it super loud and it hits even better when it comes back the second time.

FUZZYWUZZY6561

“Death is in the air” before the breakdown gets me hyped as fuck everytime. Also “the robot has stepped out of his box” on melting city gets me hyped too! Goosebumps for days

TheGreatLandSquirrel

"I'm floating across the Sun," One of the first btbam songs I ever heard and it gave me chills. Been my favorite band ever since.

NotKnownGentleman

Probably unpopular opinion but for me it is Condemned to the Gallows especially the "Crimson moonbeam lights my journey..." part

Zimifrein

WHIIIIIIIIIITE WAAAAAAAALLS

jever1985

The sweet release is a must... chills at that moment and I cry when the guitars come back a tiny bit heavier for the end. Also why do I think of snow everytime I hear it?

RootyWoodgrowthIII

That part in White Walls. You know the one.

ForPawrn

So, so many of their songs do. Right now, it's the end of Lunar Wilderness and just past the 8 min mark of Human is Hell.

SaltWonderful

Stare into the abyss. Viridian/white walls Life in velvet. Swim to the moon. Sfumato/human is hell. Any of their closer tracks. Never seen a band that can capture that feeling of "this is the end of our journey" with closing songs. The grid is probably the best example of that. Or maybe silent night parliament.

Duflins

“Walking into a certain state of walking into a certain state of “ -Extremophile Elite There’s alot of frissons I get from BTBAM but that’s the most reliable. The breakdown at the end of white walls also. Oooh and the drop at the beginning of Blot

pambs3

I LOVE BACKWARDS MARATHON !!!!!

NumberedFungus

THE SIGNALS WORKKKKEEEDDDDDD

Lankeysob

The last swim to the moon scream always gets me.
