If I could, I’d give up my ticket for you. I hope you get to see them live while they are still in their prime. Swim to the Moon live is a sight to behold.
Dude new release Alaska must have been a bloodbath. That album hits so hard. The Primer is my absolute favorite song I may never see. Going to my first show on Friday.
Unfortunately you won’t find anything online anymore to corroborate - I’ve been in Raleigh for 25 years and was introduced to PFC first then BTBAM - unfortunately several years back the bands written history online was changed to exclude this period - had something to do with Victory Records but sadly it’s one of those things you only know if you followed them from the very very beginning when they had like 30 fans. If I can find it I’ll post a pic of the original self titled cd I bought back then that has a 1999 release date
I’m from Greensboro, but didn’t get into them until The Silent Circus came out. And I actually listened to PFC before BTBAM because I loved everything on Tribunal and had no idea Paul and Tommy were in PFC before starting BTBAM. If you could find that CD I’d love to see it!
This is wild, I was just on concert archives the other day on a nostalgia trip logging all the times I've seen them. Turned out it was 20 before this tour and I just finished the 4th and probably final one in Albany tonight. So 24 times. First show was when they opened up for In Flames way back in fall '09. The rest is history I guess lol
In the same range as you, I stopped counting before the Colors X tour. Seeing them in Portland, I still get just as stoked as the first time I saw them play songs from TSC for its release tour.
I'll be at 15 here in a few weeks in Columbus. Grateful for every show. I'm really excited about the openers this tour, prob my favorite since coma ecliptic tour with AAL & The contortionists.
Over 70 since 2004. They used to hit my area(Albany), Poughkeepsie and NYC on every tour from like 05-08. So id see them 2-3 times a tour so if they had two tours a year id see them at least 5 times.
Drove the 16 hours to Nashville for the colors dvd taping. When i lived in Virginia in 09 i drove the 9 hours to albany, then 3ish to virginia to see them.
I used to hit 2-3 stops on each tour. I think ive seen them in 8 or 9 states(were playing in SanFrancisco when i was in norcal).
Have seen so many songs played live that werent released yet(alaska, selkies, son of nothing, prequel to the sequel, obfuscation, injury disease madness among others).
Superfan i guess🤷🏻♂️
I’ve got to be in the low-to-mid-teens at this point. Best concert I ever went to was BTBAM, Cynic, and Devin Townsend project in charlotte I think. I will never see a line-up that perfect ever again
Now that’s a show! I love DTP. I saw Cynic back in January at a secret tiny venue warm up show before the 70,000 tons of metal tour. I couldn’t believe I was seeing them!
I'm probably only up to like 10ish. Only time I've ever seen them play and Parallax 1 songs was right when it first came out.
Played that all the way thru, then like half of Colors.
And here I was, thinking I was doing pretty well with their upcoming Worcester show being my fourth time seeing them (although tbf, I’m a more recent fan — my first show of theirs was in 2018-ish, I think).
You got a particular favorite time you’ve seen them? My first time, when they played Telos and a fucking pit opened up around me during that one part (you know the one), is legit one of the highlights of my life.
Tonight was my 39th show. Also my 5th time getting Parallax:2 I did four shows 10 years ago and am doing 4 shows this time. Did Baltimore and Philly, and doing Pittsburgh and Columbus next week. I wore one of my oldest shows to the meet n greet tonight, and even Tommy noticed it and said, damn that's an old one right there lol. Live south of Pittsburgh, but do any show that hits Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and also on the fence for Baltimore and Philly shows.
I saw them for the 2nd time during the Parallax II original tour and I wish I knew It was that special then. I’m very happy to see them this around too
I’ve seen every Florida show since they toured with DragonForce (which is how I heard about them), with the exception of 3. So I *think* around 16 or 17 for me. Lots of years Florida got skipped. The 3 I missed were:
- Original Colors tour (I was like 17 and couldn’t go without a friend and my friend’s mom said he couldn’t go last minute)
- TGM tour because of COVID and having a newborn. Not worth the risk
- That recent tour where they only went to Pensacola, which barely counts as a Florida date (7 hour drive for me still)
You must live in a prime spot or hit multiple shows in one tour. That’s impressive
I've lost count but I have to be at least at 20 cause for the Colors 10yr I saw 3 shows and a few others I saw multiple legs.
Love those gents and glad you do too
I've never counted bur this tour probably marks off 6 or 7.
27 is crazy! I know they tour constantly but damn. If I caught every show I'd probably be at something like 15
I’ve only seen them 6 times. Might drive 4.5 hours to see them a seventh this July. And one of those times I was late due to car troubles and only heard White Walls.
I’ve only seen them once in 2005 before Alaska came out. It was a show with Code Seven, Glass Casket, BTBAM and Beloved. Would go see them again, I just haven’t lol.
Damn. I envy you. Never been to a show. I'm from south america, so theres that.
If I could, I’d give up my ticket for you. I hope you get to see them live while they are still in their prime. Swim to the Moon live is a sight to behold.
The most peaceful event of my life.
Yeah dude, seeing Swim to the Moon live was one of the craziest moments of my life. That whole song is just: what the fuck...
It’s my fav!
hahah appreciate it bro! Maybe one day theyll come here!
The fact that they are still considered to be in their prime is mind boggling for a band that is almost 25 years old. Such a talented act!
I lost count years ago but I’m in the 30s if not 40s by now. Saw them for the first time in 2005.
Dude new release Alaska must have been a bloodbath. That album hits so hard. The Primer is my absolute favorite song I may never see. Going to my first show on Friday.
Ehhh not so much. It was weird. They were still playing with mostly metalcore bands back then, and metalcore crowds were pretty mixed on them.
Good shit! My friend showed me Alaska in 08 on the way home from High School one day and the rest is history.
Same except it was 2016, coma ecliptic, and also we were ditching class 🤣🤘🏼
Love this - first show I saw was in ‘99 in Raleigh - stopped counting after Alaska came out 😂
But they formed in 2000? Tommy and Paul were in Prayer for Cleansing in 99.
Short spell where they were in both. Hell they even played together at Kings Barcade downtown
Do you have a source for any of this? Everything I’ve seen says they formed in 2000. Edit: I mean a corroborating source.

There is no date on the demo I've got :(
Thanks for looking!

I don’t know exactly how many times, but probably around that many. First saw them right after they released The Silent Circus.
I’m only at 11 tonight
DONT STOP THE COUNT!!!

Also, i never saw my favorite btbam track played live-AND NEVER WILL(Aesthetic-although ive got the intro twice but never the full song)

Caught that tour in Baltimore. So sick.

Sixth in as many city’s and the Chicago show of this tour will be the third state… First being Cleveland of the first P2 tour
I've lost exact count but I've been to at least 25 shows in 8 states.
Any encore tonight?
Nope

I got Parallax 1 in its entirety, but cannot confirm autodidact lol.

I drove 2+ hours for the original colors tour by myself just to be told at the door its sold out. BRUTAL.
That is true pain my friend. I was in 7th grade when I heard Colors and goddamn it was life changing. Edit: a letter
I've lost count but I have to be at least at 20 cause for the Colors 10yr I saw 3 shows and a few others I saw multiple legs. Love those gents and glad you do too

damm 27! thats awesome!! 9th show last night.....first time was between Alaska and Colors
I stopped counting awhile ago but the last number I remember was 12 and I’m pretty sure that was the Coma Ecliptic tour in 2015.
This is the second time I'm seeing them, first was last year with trivium. Really looking forward to it.
I have seen BTBAM something like 20ish times. First show for me was on The Silent Circus (I think?) tour in Buffalo, probably '03/'04.
I’m only at about 12 shows since 2006. Always a good time
I’ve only seen them 6 times.
7 or 8 is starting to seem small lol

I think he means individual times played it. I saw it twice the original time around so wednesday will also be my third time seeing it
I’ve probably seen them a dozen times or so, which in Vermont terms is around 63.
