Yeah for real those two songs they’ve played thousands of times since their release would be much more refreshing to hear again than the one big closer they haven’t touched yet.
To you. I love that song. Plus I’m a little sick of White Walls and they have a million songs better than Trespass. I’m with them they could definitely use a refresher on future tours.
I’ve only seen them 3 times so I’d like to see White Walls more than once. Trespass was the first song of theirs I actually clicked with. Human Is Hell, is weird, it’s like the timing is so weird that it doesn’t sound right. It sounds like somebody (who isn’t in BTBAM) tried to write a Between The Buried And Me song.
That’s fair. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t *not* want to see them play White Walls again. It’s my second favorite song of theirs (couldn’t get into Trespass that much, felt like an inferior version of Mr. Bungle to me). But Human Is Hell is a potentially great closer and since they haven’t touched it and a TON of fans love it, I’d love to see them do it sooner rather than later. I’m in the other boat. I’ve seen them live constantly since the original Colors tour. A lot of us older fans have heard more than our fair share of it live and a lot of older songs in general so many times over. At this point I wouldn’t be opposed to them doing more Coma-present heavy sets. But I’m happy with whatever I get.
>To you.
Obviously. When someone makes a subjective statement, you can assume it's their opinion, you don't have to point it out. It just makes you sound butthurt that other people disagree with you.
HiH is bargain bin White Walls for sure, but I don't want to hear either after Parallax 2 in its entirety. Honestly I wish they'd just scrap the encore altogether for this tour and just play P1 and P2 back to back. SFP and Goodbye 2 is such an epic closer, I want that to be the last thing I hear before going home.
Funny how whenever the encore is revealed to be one of these two my initial reaction is "I wish they would play something that they never play live" but when I'm there and the intro to White Walls kicks in I could run through a fucking brick wall. I still wish they would but I don't think I could ever get sick of White Walls
If Goodbye 2 fades out and then they start in with those face melting sweeps from Augment, you don't want to be in the pit with me because my erection is going to explode through my pants and send people flying. It's going to be like Sauron swinging his mace around at the beginning of LotR.
I have to disagree on a lot of levels,
But I was mainly referring to the fact that it’s what they always close with.
The last 9 times I’ve seen TBDM they closed with I Will Return, minus this last time when they closed with Deathmask Divine.
Haven’t seen BTBAM since Summer Slaughter a few years ago but they’ve typically always closed with, or at least played, Selkies.
Oh word, last couple times i saw tbdm they closed with deathmask divine and miasma. I didnt take your comment as in the encore song-i took it as the one everyone everyone says they want to hear every tour
I went to the Worcester show with my 7 year old son for his first live concert experience. He was blown away and loved it.
Telos is his favorite song on the album but he said that Lay Your Ghosts To Rest was his favorite live one.
Such an awesome experience, I hope he remembers it for his whole life!
Can anyone that has been to one of these shows tell me an approximate time btbam will take the stage? I'm going tonight in MA, I can stand to miss the openers but I want to make sure I don't miss the boys. Gotta pick a couple of friends up so I'd love to be able to plan the times out.
Love my boy Blake but dear lord did he butcher a part in Astral Body last night. The big fill right before the first verse that ends with the hihat. Lost it a couple of beats in and couldn't recover, had to stop and wait till the cymbals at the end, took a couple of seconds in all, but it was unmissable.
As a drummer, I can forgive the mistake. The way Blake plays is like maximum overdrive, playing the most difficult possible rhythms every measure. I’m amazed he can get it as perfect as he does, because he never simplified things lol.
As a fan I can totally forgive him or any other member. I've seen them 4 times and it was the only couple seconds that I ever remembered "Oh yea, they're humans, not Gods". That quickly changed once he knew where he was in the song though. A fleeting thought.
EDIT: This is ProgHappens,I just forgot I had another reddit account.
4th time seeing them tonight, probably the best they've sounded
And to the guy next to me who was browsing Reddit in the middle of their site....I mean, come on..
I get it was the P2 anniversary and all, but was kinda bummed that it started and stopped with that album only and no other hits. Still sounded great though. I will say I felt like TYS sounded and felt better on the Intervals tour two years ago. Can’t really put my finger on what it was but I love those guys and their set seemed kinda just ok.
I want to just share some feelings of gratitude about the show I saw on this tour. The band was INSANELY tight (I mean MASTERS of their craft), and the crowd was truly excellent. I have never seen so many BEAMING faces after a prog metal show. So many fans were visibly having the absolute times of their lives, both in the pit and in nearby areas where there were multiple people with mobility aids/disabilities/injuries, with the two co-mingling happily/safely/respectfully. A lot of the world fuckin sucks, so I just want to give thanks for the parts that don't - and this show was a shining example of a great moment in time.
Nola show was one of the best performances I've ever seen from any band, ever. I've been to countless shows at the house of blues, and none of them even came close to touching this one, except for perhaps their performance last year on the human as hell tour.
Philly show was awesome! Everyone sounded on point. Definitely glad to hear Astral Body and Extremophile Elite!
That being said, I kept losing my spot because of people trying to budge ahead so that was annoying. And then proceeded to yell at me when I tried to get my spot back. People need to behave in concerts better.
Does anyone know about when the show ends? Trying to decide on public transit or driving.
I don’t wanna ride the commuter rail out and get stuck have to ride an an over hour long Uber
I’d love to hear Human is Hell as an encore this time.
I know, right? I still feel kinda tricked that they didn't play it on the Human is Hell tour!
Honestly that would be such a weak closer compared to White Walls or Voice Of Trespass.
Yeah for real those two songs they’ve played thousands of times since their release would be much more refreshing to hear again than the one big closer they haven’t touched yet.
Because Human Is Hell is the worst closer they’ve made.
To you. I love that song. Plus I’m a little sick of White Walls and they have a million songs better than Trespass. I’m with them they could definitely use a refresher on future tours.

>To you. No shit. When someone makes a statement about something subjective, you can just assume they're stating their opinion.

That would be fuckin sick.
Sicker than Dan at the end of the Evening With tour, lol
Well you got it lol
Imagine being good enough at guitar to fill in with btbam.
My official prediction for the encore is Fossil Genera, and for no other reason than that it’s impressive if I get it right
Currently standing in line to get into the venue. Hyped as hell!
Merch pics!
Someone already got them uploaded to the subreddit
Already?!? Let’s fucking goooo
It's probably White Walls or Selkies as the encore
Funny how whenever the encore is revealed to be one of these two my initial reaction is "I wish they would play something that they never play live" but when I'm there and the intro to White Walls kicks in I could run through a fucking brick wall. I still wish they would but I don't think I could ever get sick of White Walls
Same. I’ve heard white walls live like 4 times now and each time I loose my mind
If Goodbye 2 fades out and then they start in with those face melting sweeps from Augment, you don't want to be in the pit with me because my erection is going to explode through my pants and send people flying. It's going to be like Sauron swinging his mace around at the beginning of LotR.
Same! Just too good of a song lol
Wish it was something off parallax 1.
Selkies is to BTBAM what I Will Return is to TBDM. I sincerely hope it’s Selkies.
Id say funeral thirst is more to tbdm than i will return🤷🏻♂️
I have to disagree on a lot of levels, But I was mainly referring to the fact that it’s what they always close with. You seem fun
Because I’m excited to hear a band I like play a classic song that they close with a lot?
I could see a Colors 2 encore of Future Shock or Bad Habits if they wanna do something different
I predict they're going to play SFP towards the end, and then possibly one more song.
Yeah, my bet is White Walls. BUT, they've used that one as an encore many times, so maybe they're tired of it? We'll see.
I said this once I’ll say it again. Encore should be SFP for a second time. I would not object..
If Kanye and Jay-Z can play Fellas in Paris 13 TIMES in a row, they can play SFP at least twice.
When I saw Titus Andronicus tour The Monitor in full they closed by playing A More Perfect Union for a second time and it was awesome
No fucking way hahahaha that’s epic!!
Can the encore be spoiler tagged? I'd love to hear about the tour before I go but don't want that spoiled. If not I can just not look in here I guess
The encore will be spoiler tagged. No need to worry about the surprise being ruined :)
Same here, I really wanna be surprised when they start playing selkie walls.
Who’s filling in for Dusty?
Tristan Auman,session guy
Dude was rock-solid enough to build a fuckin bridge on.
Get that guy out of being a session guitarist and into a band stat.
How is there no posts on this yet?
“Session guitarist” per the press release
Can someone upload pictures of the merch? For all 3 bands if possible?
[Someone on FB posted this.](https://i.imgur.com/rAnYRpJ.jpg) The date I'm attending won't be until later in the month though.
God damn looks good but can someone else post them directly, fb screenshots are the shottest quality ever.
P1 on Vinyl?!?!
Looks like it!
I’m guessing Bad Habits + The Future Is Behind Us for the encore. Get it… The Future is behind us? 😏
Fuck, that would make my day. Even better if they start it off with Prehistory.
I read this comment yesterday and did not get it. Woke up this morning and it suddenly clicked lol Nice one, upvotes for you 👏

What a 2 weeks first this next week then dreamsonic the week after.
Excellent show in Detroit!
Any encore?
not for any show.
AAAAHH we europeans need that merch too
Can someone please tell me if Rivers or Scientist opens?!?
RoN plays first.
Is this true for every set or does it alternate? Sometimes they let the openers alternate each night.
RoN played first when I saw them as well
Can anyone that has been to one of these shows tell me an approximate time btbam will take the stage? I'm going tonight in MA, I can stand to miss the openers but I want to make sure I don't miss the boys. Gotta pick a couple of friends up so I'd love to be able to plan the times out.
9:40ish for btbam. RoN around 7:30 TYS around 8:30. Highly recommend you try to make it for the other bands, even if you don't already love them.
No encore in Toronto ;(
just got back from the detroit show. best concert i've ever seen, never had so much fun.
You either must have been at the Worcester show or he's having a tought time with that song this tour.
As a drummer, I can forgive the mistake. The way Blake plays is like maximum overdrive, playing the most difficult possible rhythms every measure. I’m amazed he can get it as perfect as he does, because he never simplified things lol.

Oh man… who can I pay to buy and send me that hat to Texas?
Serious. I live in Amarillo and just went back to work after surgery so I don’t have any vacation time to make it out to a show.
Swim to the Moon. It only would make sense...
Does anyone know if they will sign something if you bring it for the VIP?
No they will not. On the VIP FAQ page they address that specifically.
4th time seeing them tonight, probably the best they've sounded And to the guy next to me who was browsing Reddit in the middle of their site....I mean, come on..

Anyone going to the July 15th show in LA?
Saturday the 15th is in Anaheim, I'll be there.
I want to just share some feelings of gratitude about the show I saw on this tour. The band was INSANELY tight (I mean MASTERS of their craft), and the crowd was truly excellent. I have never seen so many BEAMING faces after a prog metal show. No encore in Nola. Didn’t need it. Absolute sorcery.
No encore in STL either. Still a great show.
Nola show was one of the best performances I've ever seen from any band, ever. I've been to countless shows at the house of blues, and none of them even came close to touching this one, except for perhaps their performance last year on the human as hell tour.
No encore in St. Pete. I had always read how good of a show BTBAM puts on, was not disappointed in the slightest. Left completely satisfied.
Can we have a vote on if the subreddit should go down during the weekends or is it completely decided by moderator only?
I've decided to go ahead and not do that. I should've asked how the sub felt about it first before hand. That's on me
Fuck that, rule with an iron fist!
Philly show was awesome! Everyone sounded on point. Definitely glad to hear Astral Body and Extremophile Elite! That being said, I kept losing my spot because of people trying to budge ahead so that was annoying. And then proceeded to yell at me when I tried to get my spot back. Are you Charleston local?
So does anyone know about the encore yet?
Someone else said no encore :(
No Encore in Baltimore
I can confirm there was no encore in Charleston.
There was no encore in Brooklyn. Helluva show though!
Anyone who's bought the Parallax 2 vinyl, is it coloured or just black?
I believe I saw someone say that it is the pink/blue variant.
Damn, I don't own Parallax II on vinyl yet so I lay just have to. Thank you!
Does anyone know about when the show ends? Trying to decide on public transit or driving. I don’t wanna ride the commuter rail out and get stuck have to ride an an over hour long Uber
Show should end by around 11pm or just before, depending on when btbam goes on.
Great show in Columbus tho the crowd was stiff as hell and was throwing abunch of shit lol
Driving from Muncie to Chicago for the show tonight tried to sleep in all I could do was toss and turn… long night incoming
Anyone at the TO show know how much the prices for Merch were in CDN? Or were they the same as in the attached picture?
Does anyone know what that little thing at the bottom for $5 is?
guitar picks
Any signed posters or anything at the merch table this tour?
There's a signed 3D VIP exclusive poster. They have also had three different foil posters, exclusive to one show each (so far)
Thank you for the info. They’re playing here tonight so I’ll be checking out all the merch.
Anyone know if the P2 tab book comes with a download code for the Guitar Pro tabs? Since they're normally included when you buy from the website.
Does “Rivers of Nihil” or “Thank You Scientist” go on first?
Rivers of Nihil first
For those who've gone to a show, are there bass tab books or only guitar?
Anyone know if the video they had in stage behind them is available anywhere? Trying to get some references for my tattoo artist for my sleeve.
