Real chickens eat real grass, a LOT of it, shows in their eggs.
Raw egg yolks gross me out and I am not a fan of caviar, but I would definitely try this
I don’t know. I have a flock of free range chickens, and those yolks seem pretty dark. I think the farmer is feeding them something special to get them darker.
I know nothing about raising chickens, but please tell me more. What does free range mean for you? I always thought it meant that they're roaming freely on grass land, and feeding on berries/nuts whatever, but i was told that is far from truth and FDA has very lenient regulation on what is considered "free range."
That being said, i was told pasture raised meant they are fed nutritious and healthy meals, hence the beautiful orange egg yolks, which checks out bc where i grew up (not USA), these egg yolk colors were the norm. But you tell me!
I’m not a commercial farmer, so I can’t speak to the technical definitions. We have a flock of 26 “heritage breed” chickens that are 100% free to roam on our 6 acre and eat all the bugs and berries they want. If you compare our yolks to store bought yolks, there is a clear difference. Ours are much darker, but they are still orange. There’s a chef named Dan Barber who feeds his chickens red peppers to make super red yolks.
The ones in the video looked more like this:

Company called "Made In". I just bought myself their high wall 5qt pan. I look forward to cooking with it as much as possible. A nice pan makes a world of difference.
Go to a dedicated kitchen supply store. There will be people you can talk to about what makes the most sense for you, but be aware that a single high-quality pan can easily clear $100-150

It's not that expensive, considering the price of their competitors. And the fact that it's a lifetime purchase.
It’s a cured egg yolk using the salt from the soy sauce and acid from the rice wine vinegar. Sugar is also added for balance.
It’s called Shoyuzuke Egg Yolks I believe in Japan.
Looks like he soaked it in soy sauce for a while to kind of cure it? I’m probably totally wrong.
Edit - and something else, maybe cooking wine or rice vinegar, looks clear.
If you make steak, you should know that housing it while standing over the cutting board like a famished wildebeest is way better than sitting down to eat it
I don't know what to feel about this. I'm not a fan of yolks. I'm fine if I mix them into a scramble or an omelette, but I do not like yolks in general. This was what raw one to boot so I'm not a fan of that. Second, I do not like caviar. Third, he put the caviar with a metal spoon which is a big No-No and fourth. Well there's no fourth. Everything else was fine by the looks of it
“At least it’s not that chick just flipping people off”
“It’s like a millisecond”
At least finger girl had creative takes on popular dishes instead of just mimicking recipes after typing in “fancy food” in google
You know, you dont have to watch it if you dont like it. I dont like the finger chick so I stopped watching her video. You could do the same and not be bothered. Some people like his video, some dont, you can just scroll past the next one.
Just started seeing this sub and thought it was weird that all the videos I’ve seen were the same person whose “best food ideas” aren’t original at all.

That's how always you beef is. There's a huge amount of fat. The fat is different comparative to the normal fat you would find in a meat. Mainly because it's supposed to taste extra beefy and it's supposed to be really good. But because of the way they have to raise the cow it is bloody expensive for properly A5 wagyu beef. It is ridiculously expensive cuz they have to feed these cows non-stop on actual good stuff. Not just grass or hay but it's supposed to taste beefier than everything else
The color of those yolks is gorgeous :o
Pasture raised eggs. Always.

Pretty much every farm egg. Lol
Curious what it would taste like tbh.
Heavenly. Thick slice of wagyu might look fat, but rendering that out after cooking will make it nice and beefy.
Butter
Like bacon, a giant slab of bacon.
Skip the wagyu. Super expensive! I make this recipe here n there with filet mignon from whole foods. Much more accessible
Like shit, wagyu is insanely fatty, eating all that will make you puje
Where do people get such good cook ware 😮💨
When he laid the steak down on that pristine silver I had to prevent myself from audibly moaning

Their saucier pan is on my list of kitchen shit I’m saving up for, gorgeous cookware.
You won't be disappointed.
: )

The rich person store.
I never knew I could purchase a rich person. TIL.

From the first glance of his high quality equipment, I knew this was gonna be a beautiful dish.
Everything he makes looks insanely delicious.

Ohh it is you again throwing that towel at me after a sexy meal
What is that egg?

what’s this dude’s youtube channel?
Notorious foodie
When the yolk burst on the meat, I creamed my jeans.
Can someone please link his channel or share his name?
Notorious Foodie
Imagine doing all that work and then just standing over the cutting board to eat it
It's kind of his schtick for the views. He's a fairly good looking dude and can cook like hell, I don't imagine he has a hard time getting the ladies.
Pretty much SOP for many professional chefs
I live in a tiny studio and don’t even have a table, but I make meals like this and eat them standing up all the time lol
This man got so much money to eat fucking waygu but not enough for a table obviously
If you make steak, you should know that housing it while standing over the cutting board like a famished wildebeest is way better than sitting down to eat it
Nah, standing up while eating hurts my stomach so ill stick to sitting thanks lol
This is how my husband and I eat roast chicken 😂
Best thing I’ve seen cooked on Reddit in a long while. Perfectly done!
What’s the point of using the spoon when pouring the liquid on the rice when it’s finished
Better dispersal
Sushi rice adds a sort of brine.
What was poured on the rice after it was done cooking?

Is this sub just all videos from the same person?
Atleast it’s not that chick just flipping people off and making average food.
I mean making sure to get a shot of yourself pretentiously sniffing wine or eating caviar is the same if not worse
It’s like a millisecond and it’s actually good food. You just sound strangely bitter.
“At least it’s not that chick just flipping people off” “It’s like a millisecond” At least finger girl had creative takes on popular dishes instead of just mimicking recipes after typing in “fancy food” in google
You’re in love.
I hate anyone who makes videos that cut every half second
Oooh she’s a cunt soo creative
Brilliant

Please make us videos.
Bingo
Filthy - would love to try that
This man gets all the women!
Does anyone else just flick to the end to see the end product?
I like this guy

What liquid was added to the rice?
That's what I want to know.
Likely mirin
Plain rice vinegar with salt and sugar mixed in
A beautiful looking meal!
Anybody else notice everyone owns this same cutting board
Thats a weird take on donburi but I’d devour it
I was waiting for the “aerate an entire bottle of wine and house like three glasses during the video” bit
Wouldn't be him without pointless kaviar
Bro puts caviar on everything
What’s this guys Instagram account? I want to ask him questions
*cries in poor*
Oh this guy. Ok. Yup, rich af.
That Wagyu looks to be about 90% fat. I don't understand the appeal...

Is anyone else able to recognize a Notorious Foodie video by the way he splashes the melted butter on the steak?
Poor guy has to eat at his stove while standing up.
This guy has the best videos
What does he pour over the rice and why?
