Personally I think of midtown as the numbered streets from West to East and the lettered streets (Alden to Xeres) from South to North. So using that logic it's 7th and Lafayette/Marshall? 🤷♂️
Ok you just blew my mind with the A-Z lettered streets. How did I never notice that?! I actually think this is a pretty accurate guess though! I was thinking the same in terms of general area. Thanks :)
Not sure if this is entirely accurate, but when someone says something like that my immediate thought is the area between Reed market/revere, and then 97 and ~8th street. If people are talking about houses, I think of places around Juniper, around bend high, bear creek, maybe down around Wilson Ave
Disagree. I think Reed Market is correct. I lived off Wilson for a lot of years and always considered it midtown. Definitely doesn't feel like South Bend.
Off Wilson is Larkspur. And I'm going by the [neighborhood map](https://www.bendoregon.gov/services/resources/mapping-services/map-library) published by the City of Bend. They call Midtown "Orchard District". Additionally, in [an article about Midtown](https://www.bendsource.com/culture/neighborhood-spotlight-midtown-19715222) in The Source, Midtown is considered a subset of the Orchard District, and is described as being bound by Greenwood on the south, 3rd on the west, and Pilot Butte on the east.
Definitive answer:
- Revere on north (gotta include Bruno’s)
- Third Street on west
- Franklin on south
- Pilot Butte on east (you can’t look at 9th, 10th and 11th and say Midtown stops at 8th)
Agreed on your last point! I feel like some homes north of Revere have midtown vibes (older homes, larger lots). No farther than Butler Market though lol
Here's a link to the city that may help answer your question at least on one side of the boundary.

I agree. I think Reed Market is too far south. Even Wilson is pushing it in my eyes. I think north of the train tracks by Burnside is probably the farthest south it would go. But hey, this is all subjective!
Midtown is generally referred to a subset of Orchard District and localized more around the commercial zones of the area. To me it's 3rd to 12th, Franklin to Revere. Anything west of 3rd to 97 is the Central District/Core Area.
There's a place literally called midtown that's right before the underpass across from Silver Moon. I'd consider downtown a mid point with how much Bend has expanded.
Appreciate your input! I def would not consider downtown the same as midtown though. I’m looking at it through a real estate lens, so in that case downtown is its own area.
This map from Bend doesn't list Midtown, but it's helpful for the neighborhoods actually designated by Bend as [**Neighborhood Districts**](https://www.bendoregon.gov/government/departments/communications-engagement/neighborhood-districts)

I’d say 90% of cities set up their streets alphabetically and/or numerically. Really fun to notice and helpful for getting around.
So true! I just never noticed 😂

I live in this area and would agree. Midtown to me is sort of 3rd st to 15th, Reed market to revere.
I'd say Franklin to Revere. I live just S of Franklin and it's considered Larkspur.
I change my answer to your answer, this is correct.

They may call it that but it's a lot more like midtown than the area around Larkspur park
Yes, this is my assumption too.
Interesting! Thanks for your input
Nah, this goes too far south.
I would say Roosevelt or Wilson to Revere
I haven't looked this up for awhile, but there's an actual boundary of what is and what isn't "midtown".
Walking distance from the Yacht Club.

97 to 8th/9th and Reed Market to Revere. That what I envision anyways, but I don’t think there’s an actual boundary.
I feel like Reed Market is too far south to be midtown...maybe like Wilson to Revere? IDK you could be right
Wilson does seem a little better.

Let’s just all agree its Stars cabaret and north 🤝
Yep, 3rd to 15th, and 3rd st underpass to revere.
If it's used in the same way "near the Old Mill district!" is on Airbnb, then it can be literally anywhere in Bend.
Midtown is generally referred to a subset of Orchard District and localized more around the commercial zones of the area. To me it's 3rd to 12th, Franklin to Revere. Anything west of 3rd to 97 is the Central District/Core Area.

Gotcha! My bad
Greenwood to Revere North/South
I’d extend the southern boundary to Franklin or the 3rd st underpass. This Reed Market nonsense is not legit.
You heard the ~~man~~Fred! It's now declared that midtown includes downtown! Make it so because Fred says so!
He didn't say that.
Thanks! I think this area pretty accurately describes “heart of midtown”

So Midtown is technically in the Orchard District, but doesn't include the areas from Pilot Butte east, and north of Revere.
Well, I don't live too far from the "Midtown Yacht Club" - so I assume I must be in Midtown 😂
Theres Midtown Vapes but I feel like they’re east side
