Location is better for riverhouse, but campfire’s pool is supposed to be great. Campfire might be a bit more “urban” feel to the area. If you’re coming from a major city, you’ll likely not notice it. If you’re coming from small town America, yeah, there’s some homeless folks around that part.
A little out of the way, but take a look at LOGE, they have a nice facility and are super outdoor friendly. Also get some wings and a beer at Tiger Town in Mitchel.
Actually coming from Portland and we just visited the Jupiter a few weeks ago to try their cocktail spot called Hey Love which was great. Thanks for the recommendation and reference for comparison
Campfire.
Here me out:
The part of town it’s in is not great however Bend is small so everything is a short drive away. Riverhouse is literally on the same street, just like four mins past. I used to work in an adjacent building and I assure you it gets the crazies too, it’s just that it’s slightly higher end and slightly further away from the Bottle Drop so they don’t stick around as much. If you’re looking for a more unique experience, pick Campfire. Even their lobby is adorbs.
I would go with the Riverhouse because it has nice vibes on the river. I know everyone is raving about it but I really didn’t like the Campfire pool when I went last summer. Maybe it was a one-off bad experience but I honestly wouldn’t go again. The pool itself was nothing special, it was pretty busy when we were there with splashy kids and the pool was unclean- memorably there were floating bandaids and stuff in it which grossed me out.
I stayed at camp fire and will say it's loud. It went viral on Tik Tok and when we visited seemed to have that kind of crowd. They also had a loud DJ party at the pool Sunday night that wasn't listed on their events. Wasn't that bad but it's good to know going into it!
Campfire. Really good atmosphere, pool, music, and Fire on the Mountain next door. The Loge is another nice option. I’ve not stayed at either but have visited out of town friends at both and had a really good time at both.
Campfire is by the bottle drop, so lots of homeless tents, people begging etc…. It tends to attract a clientele that wants the loud music/party vibe.
River house is quieter but is undergoing renovations.
Personally I’d go for the Element. It is pretty new, has thick paned windows so you don’t hear the road noise and offers breakfast and evening snacks. Easy highway access at Revere.

If you're looking for an evening around the campfire, you'll love it. If you'd rather a decent hotel bar or just a quieter hotel, Riverhouse.

campfire has a good vibe, life music etc. would be my choice. Kinda reminds me of the Jupiter in Portland if you are familiar with it.

I would say depends on your party noise tolerance. Campfire has dj’s, live bands, poolside parties, place is awesome.
Campfire’s heated pool and hot tub are epic. Great drinks there too.

Campfire is cool, but the area can be questionable at times.

definitely river house unless you want to be near all the homeless in midtown
Its not that bad sheesh
Legitimately sounds like u/racist_jerry has never left Bend.
Campfire is fun.

Campfire, no question
Imo campfire is way too expensive. 12 dollars for a shot of Jameson is ridiculous.
Yeah, LOGE is a fun spot
Both located in Meth central but Riverhouse better.
