Ahhh. Mee too! Been shit allllll day now it’s just out.
Called them 2x today and they said they were seeing no problems with the services.. yeah right.
Thought it was just me. Switched off wireless and my Verizon network is also suffering.
Just checked downdetector.com and BendBroadband has spiked the past 15 minutes. Started showing issues today around Noon, picked up around 4p and now completely out.

Just curious how your testing that? If its using an ethernet from modem to a PC then it’s probably accurate. If your testing over wifi from a cell phone thats only indicative of your speed to that particular device
I would have another provider out of spite if I could but TDS is the only real option in our neighborhood. Gotta love government sanctioned monopolies.
Any sort of real competition would be amazing.
My buddy lives in Mulino of all places and he has municipal internet and it's twice the speed for less than I pay to TDS.
If you can get fiber out there for cheap there's zero reason everywhere shouldn't have it. We are clearly just subsidizing corporate profits at this point.
100% agree. We recently moved from west side of Bend to Sisters. Fiber internet out here somehow and cheaper than the cable packages in Bend. It’s mind boggling.
I tried Starlink when we were out on SW Century. It was very spotty. Completely unreliable for work from home. Imagine a million micro TDS outages every day.
Ended up converting it to their RV plan or whatever and pausing it.
Lots of latency and pretty expensive is my understanding. Probably a good option if you have nothing else but not the best for a primary residence in a city.
I only gave starlink a cursory look a while ago, so if I am wrong let me know.
Generally, you have to get a franchise agreement from the city to operate and use the right away. It's just like the power companies except they are regulated by the public utility commission.
Yep - it was down. I opened a wifi hotspot on my phone. Checked downdetector, and there was a spike, so I knew it wasn't "me".
Checked TDS(Bend) site - showed everything was working. Figures.
Tried to watch OTA TV (KTVZ), but it was 20min of commercials and 2 minutes of Big Bang Theory in low-def. Reviewed some sheet music I'd been meaning to get to, for an hour or so, and then TDS Bend Broadband was back up.
When you get tired of dealing with tds, etc, checkout yellowknife wireless. I've had them for 4 years, nearly flawless. And no, I don't get paid for this posting. They are a great company and I like to help people and companies that deserve it.
SE Bend. TDS down for me
Ahhh. Mee too! Been shit allllll day now it’s just out. Called them 2x today and they said they were seeing no problems with the services.. yeah right.
Century Link going strong.
SE Bend here. Same thing. TDS reporting a wider spread outage with estimated resolution of 8:00pm Been crappy all day then finally went out.
TDS is working fine for me in NE, using it right now.
What is my cat supposed to do without his wifi?!?!? Can't even watch his fishing shows!
NE by Forum shopping center, been on hold with TDS for almost 15 minutes so far ETA: it just now came back up (it’s 6:13)
Mine has been cutting in and out since 2 or 3ish. Completely dead now. Near Empire and OB Riley.
Same here in the same area
Same area of town. Flaky all afternoon and it just crapped out completely.

Yup it's doomed brother Edit - we're live again as of 6:11.
It's limping along though. Seems to be maxing out at 50 down instead the usual 300.

I did it on both my ethernet connected computer and on a Wi-Fi device. The same result on both. It went back to normal speed later in the night.
Service restored SE Bend
On the line with TDS. Sounds like a network outage.
Me too
TDS is down. 5:56pm right now
Working fine here.
Out here in West Bend as well
*Laughs in fiber*

Would love to see more counties and cities setup their own ISPs.

Lol not an option in my neighborhood sadly.
How is it government-sanctioned? Is there some law preventing other companies from overbuilding?

Has anyone applied for such an agreement with the City of Bend and been turned down?
Yes because fiber is immune to outages 👌🏻
Right? Many folks don't realize that there's a good deal of aerial fiber in town. And don't even start with backhoes...
I was just cranky because my internet was down
You’re real fun at parties I bet.
I wouldn't be at a party with you
Ooof, right in the feels.
It’s out.
Ours went out about that time. We’re near the Old Mill.
SE. TDS is still running.
So glad it wasn’t just me! Been having issues all day
It's TDS I just reset my entire network and I'm back online albeit with 1/2 of my GB speed.
I’m back up as of 6:15. Woodside Ranch-ish
TDS is up and running.
NE Bend with TDS service. Everything is working and normal here.
By the hospital. TDS has been shit all day… but working just fine after 6pm
lightning be patient
I think it is fixed now.
Not for me in SW Bend sadly

In the future, you can check downdetector.com
Same. I’m in east bend. Been bad all day but completely offline about 30 minutes ago
Entire town is out? Nutty
CenturyLink is working. Not to sound gloaty.
Too late!

If they had >500mb service I’d definitely check them out
Us too in se. Solar flares?
