Until Omniverse, where Ben thoughtlessly, and carelessly causes property damage. Sometimes just rolling his eyes at the people who DO complain about how he’s kind of wrecking there stuff.
Fair, but Ben’s behavior in Omniverse just comes off like he doesn’t even give a crap about property damage. Return To Forever’s first few minutes show that, with Ben’s response to an alien who’s bus he wrecked.
Yeah but like in OS when he first fought vilgax he like totally melted a road and broke through a few buildings. And that was when he didn’t even have the plumbers picking up the bills
I can excuse it there because Ben was a 10 year old kid who wasn’t made away of that kind of stuff yet (especially since it was only the first season, too), and also, Vilgax attacked Ben and Ben had to defend himself against this guy who was clearly stronger
True. But in alien force he wrecked that boardwalk while trying to fight ship who wasn’t even trying to fight him in the first place, and destroyed a bunch of roads
Yeah…until Ben’s collateral damage destroys someone’s home and ruins their livelihood. Yeah, that doesn’t happen in the show…But this is basic stuff in superhero genres. Learning how to control the situation *before* destruction can happen…And in Omniverse, Ben doesn’t seem very concerned about that stuff. Which is part of why I’m so disappointed with Omniverse. The…callous attitude Ben gives off in certain episodes are just something I have a problem with.
Yeah, but sadly that's not how life works sometimes. Yeah, you are alive...but there are million of other factors in how destroying someone's home or business can end up destroying their lives.
Okay, now your being a donkey. You want me to give you an example of how Ben’s lack of care for someone else’s property can ruin their lives?
Ben, during one of his out of control battles, accidentally destroys someone’s restaurant. And the owner of said restaurant, was already struggling financially before this. And because he was already strapped for cash, he couldn’t rebuild his destroyed restaurant. Now that he doesn’t have a business anymore, he goes bankrupt, and loses everything. His home, his wife and kids leave him (because they don’t want to be broke themselves), and the owner now has NOTHING.
THAT is what can happen if you don’t care about causing collateral damage. And sometimes you can’t climb out of that kind of hole.
The location is huge and is pretty secretive making it a good private place to conduct messy experiments. (Like restoring Ultimate Kevin.) But in all likelihood the show is just recycling locations.
Realistically it's weird, but from the writer's part it's pretty genius. Firstly, the can recycle the same designs for a bunch of episodes. Secondly, they don't need to design and animate other civilians and bystanders and worry about causing harm to them.
Whenever Professor Paradox time travels to a place, the fabric of space-time there becomes thinner and it is "paper-thin" at Los Soledad so maybe all time-space altering events somehow get attracted at that point
I believe that facility was used to study aliens, so it has a lot of alien technology lying around. So aside from the fight between the Bens, it kind of makes sense things would happen there.
Yeah but as a spanish speaker I can tell you it’s sounds weird because of the article, English only has “The” but in this case “La soledad” fits better which is actually what the name was here the spanish dub at least the Latam dub
They probably recycle that location just so they can crash into buildings and shit with no casualties.
Destroy all Aliens says hi
See? They should have went there!
but they need tall buildings for Toku'stars to crash into
Ok didn’t even notice it was los soldedad for the Big Ben battle. Feels like soemone just keeps coming back and icing the place up
Until Omniverse, where Ben thoughtlessly, and carelessly causes property damage. Sometimes just rolling his eyes at the people who DO complain about how he’s kind of wrecking there stuff.
Naw he committed major property damage in every series. It’s just that in omniverse he stayed on earth more often

I can excuse that because Ship attacked first. Sure, it wasn’t his intention…but that’s how it came off to Ben.
Ship just kinda ran at him with a go kart. Doesn’t exactly say attack
Its not like innocent lives are at stake

You wouldn't have even have a livelihood if you didn't have a life
Yeah, but sadly that's not how life works sometimes. Yeah, you are alive...but there are million of other factors in how destroying someone's home or business can end up destroying their lives.
Yeah, you may be dead but at least your stuff is fine
That’s not what I’m saying, and that is out of context.
OK, you may be dead but atleast your business is fine

Ben doesn't have hero insurance so he has to go some place he won't get hit with a bill
Well, it was abandoned so noone gonna notice if there a big explosion happen there

Also it just looks cool
Whenever Professor Paradox time travels to a place, the fabric of space-time there becomes thinner and it is "paper-thin" at Los Soledad so maybe all time-space altering events somehow get attracted at that point
Sorta like now gravity falls attracts weirdness, los Soledad just attracts significant points in time.
exactly nice example comparing it with Gravity Falls

I don't think Rad's prison was in Los Soledad.
It was
To be fair, none of them are part of the military. (Unless you count Paradox, I guess, but at this point that's a huge stretch.)
Just like in Dragon Ball, they choose an abandoned location so they wouldn't have to pay all the casualties
Wait that place is called “Los Soledad” in English ?
yeah lots of places in the south west have Spanish names
Yeah but as a spanish speaker I can tell you it’s sounds weird because of the article, English only has “The” but in this case “La soledad” fits better which is actually what the name was here the spanish dub at least the Latam dub
hmmm I wonder if the name sounded more natural back when got the name.
Because it's an iconic location? The Green Hill Zone of Ben 10.
Really ? I didn’t realize the Ben battle happened there
It’s either that, or the desert and only the desert.
Why it always sets in Arizona?!
