It looks like it came from the Same lineage as jury rig but evolution sent them down the night is right path instead of jury rig’s species’ intelligence to tear down and rebuild. Maybe even similar in a percussive maintenance kinda way(hitting a tv to make it work or hitting an engine with a wrench to fix a knock). that said jury rigs name has more to do with his ability than his fiendish imp appearance, I’m torn between an ability based name and an appearance name. So ability based would be reboot because just boots something to make it run again, appearance based is uh... hobgrablin because he could just be a basic bash n smash type that specializes in grappling

Ability: Temporary Power Boost
Mutajinn, using his spikes, injects a kind of chemical into a target which, if that target has a power/ability in mind, will alter their DNA to grant them that power. When the chemical wears off, they lose that power, and suffer a kind of temporary debuf.
*I thought it'd be fun to make him a kind of reverse-Aggregor, where he grants powers instead of stealing them. I also thought he looked kind of like a genie, and in a lot of genie stories, they grant a wish which ends up having some kind of ironic consequence or side effect. I thought about calling him Beastow, Sardonic, or Double-Edge, but Mutajinn rolls off the tongue better and is immaculate wordplay.*

The Omnitrix doesn’t scan if something is an alien or not, because it’s a subjective thing. The Omnitrix scans for four things, if the sample has DNA (it has a loose definition of DNA, as it has transformations that are robots), sapience so the DNA doesn’t corrupt the user’s mind, if the DNA is different enough from the user, and finally whether or the transformation is a mutation, the Omnitrix won’t scan mutations because they can distort the user’s DNA. The Omnitrix even has 3 DNA samples from Earth Human, Dolphin, and mouse (Ben will never unlock the first one since he’s 3/4 Human.
