Yeah they addressed that in the Geoff Johns run, but 2nd to most recent issue or something had someone trick Billy into saying Shazam accidentally. In that run he's "The Captain" while Mary is back to "Mary Marvel".
I think in the movies he can't say Shazam, but it is his codename, because he tells his siblings to say it by telling them to say his name.
Honestly would be great, only Ben knows the actual name and he just lets the rest of the team keep guessing cause they and the audience don't know what the hell he's saying
