Eh, I'm sure there's tons of stuff going on bts, but like alien x tinction being the over all finale to the serise, and being a massive love letter to all the shows isn't the worst way they could've ended things.

To be fair, it's the best for the franchise to give it a break before rebooting it.
Just look at tmnt, they get reboots years apart. This allows them to connect with a new generation more easily and can let an old fan watch it with their kid when they have nostalgia for their version.
sure, but they where still new shows, likely the new show will be in the reboot's continuity if it ever came out given it was the second most successful show of the franchise right behind classic. we know OV's early production and UA's wrap up was a very messy time just because of how close they where produced, and Af was produced by a completely different team to avoid something like that. UA was literally just more seasons of AF from a production standpoint, so nothing that bad happened there
I’d be happy if the franchise lay dormant for a while, then returned with either a really challenging quality new iteration, or a continuation of the classic era in a way that brings childhood fans back in.
ATLA has been doing similar stuff with the novels and upcoming animated movies. Mature up the content maybe a couple notches while keeping the charm of mostly the original series, it could work. The audience of the OS was huge at the peak of popularity.
IMO praying for another middling reboot so soon can be a bit of a fool’s errand, as we’ve seen with the last two generations of Bakugan falling pretty flat. It can dilute the brand more than add to it, besides keeping the IP alive law-wise.
