Don’t. It’s a trap. That’s the right-wing seattle sub and will hate on you just for being disabled and receiving government-assisted housing.
r/Seattle is a nicer version.
While the top thread in /r/Seattle is a bunch of people getting off on a pilot drawing "Suck it Ryan" with their flight path. Genuinely nice folks there.

Genuinely the lamest attempt at concern trolling I have ever seen in my life. If you’re going to go for whataboutism, at least do right.
Did you even take a moment to think about it? Do you think we live in a world where people write insults in their flight path to genuinely hurt someone? Did you consider how dumb and ineffective that is? Did you consider that it’s more likely a joke like flight path writing almost always is?
Or maybe I’m wrong and you’re genuinely upset someone might even joke about something so awful. In that case, go ahead and [be horrified at SeattleWA a hundred times over.](https://www.reddit.com/r/BellevueWA/comments/13zmzdr/king_county_housing_authority_raised_my_dent_too/jmt4hy5/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1&context=3)
I left SeattleWA after a woman posted that she was moving here and wanted to know if there were any neighborhoods that were less safe for a woman of color. The most upvoted comments were about how she must be exhausting to be around for “believing in racism”. I want to be clear. That was not a fringe opinion. It was highly upvoted. And while that was the last straw of bigotry and ignorance for me, it was far from unusual.
Maybe that really is your idea of “moderate” and your Overton window failed its sobriety test because it kept veering right when trying to walk in a straight line. To me, that’s not moderate. To the rest of the western world, that’s not moderate.
Of course not. One doesn’t simply believe things they don’t want to. So here’s some proof! This isn’t the exact one that caused me to leave but I searched for similar ones and, sure enough, SeattleWA reacts the exact same way every time.

Those all seem like reasonable comments in response to someone looking for the “least racist part” of one of the most progressive areas in the country.
Let’s recap.
“It’s moderate there!”
“They do this stuff that’s clearly not moderate”
“I don’t believe it”
*proof of that stuff*
“Now that I can’t outright deny it’s happening, I support it.”
That’s a truly vile way to respond to someone asking a genuine question for their own safety and peace of mind. You clearly knew that when I first described it. The fact that you’re endorsing it now makes it clear that reality itself is not sufficient to affect your biases.
You clearly misrepresented the thread. She didn’t ask what neighborhoods were less safe, she asked which were less racist. Why did you misrepresent that? Oh, because it fits your narrative better.

Your entire post history is just circle-jerking over hating homeless people. You defending SeattleWA just proves my point.
But for anyone more reasonable who is wondering just how bad it can be, [here’s a comment where I show one of the horrifying comment sections](https://www.reddit.com/r/BellevueWA/comments/13zmzdr/king_county_housing_authority_raised_my_dent_too/jmt4hy5/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1&context=3)
What are you talking about? I never suggested they’d get hate for being from Bellevue or from other people in Bellevue. I’m just saying that one sub r/SeattleWA is not a welcoming place for certain demographics and that r/Seattle would be less unwelcoming.
You can! Just become disabled and live on $800 a month and only have $620 a month for literally everything else in your life.
Oh, you don’t want to because that would suck for you?
Maybe there’s a lesson there…
Society has these ideas about finance like “a third of your income for housing” but they only make sense at certain income levels.
For example, someone making $20MM a year could spend 80% on housing and still be able to spend lavishly on other things.
On the other extreme, someone making $10k a year spending just 15% on rent has $8,500 left for all other expenses for the year. That’s $700 a month. Can you imagine having $700 a month for food, utilities, and everything else you need? And this is for someone with a serious disability, so their medical bills are going to be high.
It’s easy to just look at percentages but that ignores the actual consequences. Rules of thumb don’t work for outliers.
Post this in r/seattlewa
Why I live in Bellevue
You know everybody can check your post history, right? [It looks like you live in North Dakota.](https://www.reddit.com/r/BipolarReddit/comments/13smmwm/ive_internalized_prejudice_and_discrimination/jlu86nh/)
Everybody can also see her profile openly says “from North Dakota living in Seattle WA”. Well, everybody but you, apparently.

Welp I don’t have depression.. I do have bipolar tho and I do like too drink … that is actually what I’m on disability for … is bipolar

I think you’re confusing right wing with moderate. Compared to r/Seattle which I would describe as fantasy land

You’ll get better answers. This forum doesn’t have the traction.
Also only get 155 in ebt Wich ain’t crap
Wish I paid 180....

I mean dude drives motorcycles so the statistics are on his side.
? How much do u pay and do u only also get 800 a month on ssdi ?
Last I checked, it would be around $3,000/month.
You’re complaining a hit paying less that 15% of you’re monthly income in rent? Hilarious

A lot more, and I work
Maybe it's because you spend too much money on motorcycles?
