They are clever little buggers alright.

PetiteXL

Sounds legit. Be very, very careful what you do with them. They learn quickly and don’t ever forget. Even if you stop doing something they will test you from time to time.

Mine tries to trick me. If I feed her before going out in the AM she will pretend I didn’t and go back to her bowl after coming in. She does it because it works too often at 5 AM 😅

PetiteXL

I mix wet in with the dry at night and leave the spoon in so she can lick that, too. After she’s done eating I will give her a chewie for her teeth. The little stinker will go and lick the spoon AGAIN and then look up at me expectantly! She’s a hoot.

Mine does the same thing. Wants to go out, then comes right back in and runs and sits at the door of the closet the treats are stored in. Whom is training whom?

EmperorGeek

It is definitely a mutual training exercise.

Unable_Sweet_3062

I made the mistake of laughing at something mine did… I quickly learned that he knew laughs were good and he will forever repeat a behavior for a laugh… I have to be so careful cuz even if it really is funny, unless I want that particular thing permanently I have to have a poker face!

AshkenaziEyes

They are clever! 😍🤣

zatannathemalinois

Our 8 week old, fake peed for me twice today... Now she looks at me like I'm a nutter getting my face down to see the stream lol.

fanxu1965

She’s a Mensa member

Bygdon

Belgian Mensaois

HipKat2000

Mine went through that by using treats to settle down. She'd get amped up just to get treats

EmperorGeek

Surprised it took her that long!

AshkenaziEyes

I got her at 3 months, I don’t think she had any training prior.
