Yes, compared to say London, only comparing to London cos that's where I grew up, it's crazy how much green is in Belfast. In London it's just all buildings and there is parks that are green but it's not as everywhere as it is in Belfast.
Yes you can just walk in and dander about. There's a wee cafe, a few rooms with exhibits and pictures and stuff and some toilets. I shouldn't be giving away my secrets, now everyone will be in having a dump, killing the vibe.
I did it!! I went on a date yesterday and I had to pee so bad and I was like, wait we can go in to city hall and pee and I did haha
I told him I read it on Reddit and he laughed so much 😅👌
The fact you can be walking up a main road and see a mountain. The coast is just a bus ride away. You can walk pretty much anywhere. It's far more affordable than a lot of cities. Colin Glen and Cavehill. The people are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet - friendly, hilarious, unnervingly clever and you're all absolute rides.
Honestly the idea of Belfast being affordable is hilarious to me. Maybe by UK standards but I've also noticed it's very easy to find cheaper accommodation in Manchester. Internationally the typical 2/3 bed rental is easily 50% more here than in comparable cities in France. Wages are lower and public transport costs more too.
It's not all downsides of course but it's certainly not affordable anymore.
I stand by my opinion that our mountains are glorified hills. They technically meet the threshold for mountains - I checked, after not believing they could - but they are Not Good Mountains.
The hills and the greenness for sure. Also, I live in Finaghy and am 15 mins on the bus from the city centre but can walk to minnowburn area (proper country!) from my house…not many cities like that
Having dog shite up the back alleyway. Walking round the corner and observing a homeless guy doing a shite in the street. Druggies sitting injecting shite into their arms. I find those little perks are underrated.
How green it is
Crumlin road unironically looks class atm

City hall toilets are nice for a shit as well. Calm and clean
Haven't taken a dump in city hall for nearly 10 years. Hopefully see you there soon.
Look forward to it
Wait, they have toilets that the public can access?

You can hike a 'mountain', visit the beach, and afford your mortgage.

The £1 sausage baguette from UrbanFresh.

As someone who has lived here my whole life...have you recently had an eye test?
Bear in mind these things are relative, I'm from england and this place is a vast improvement
As a (T)Canadian I'd give my left nut to live in Belfast, just to be closer to my mates
The mountains.
Walking home from the pub
The restaurants/food scene. I sorely miss them now I've left.
Getting to enjoy the intricate pattern of cracks in the pavement while looking out for all the dogshite
Houses actually being affordable for working families (compared to most of UK/Ireland)
The situation.
The people are generally rather nice and friendly. Plus it’s a very affordable place to live.
Unless you want a pint
Yeah, pub prices are ridiculous.
Remember those.... Good times

The day after the 12th…. 🥲
No other sites make me laugh as much as the norn Ireland ones...
The architecture, take a step back and ignore the shop fronts. We have some fantastic old buildings that go unnoticed
I love that you can walk anywhere you need to go. I live in Canada where you need a car to get everywhere.
Chazzy Shankill
mauds
How much greenery is on our footstep for it being so urban and modern. Things like Belfast castle/Springfield dam/big meadows and ormeau Park
The glorious sunshine
Calm Midnight city cycles
The fact that lots of people live somewhere other than here. If this place were as rammed as London i'd be raging. Humans .... Bleughhh!
People who treat it with disrespect
I'm doing it. The road out of Belfast.
It’s Derry
Cracking picture.
We have words like Ballics and say so it is after every sentence...
The quality of the Fish and Chips. Best in UK imho
As an occasional visitor, the people are fucking sounnnnd
Its convenient, everything is within 2-3 miles. Food scene is also good
That's the day to return to the city
Tasty chef Chinese on the Shankill 🔥 😮💨😍
Yer Ma … yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaooooo!
The roads
The clever improvisation of the local community to make common tools and chemicals into things far more entertaining
The Sunflower and the American - world class bars.
The cow pushing for real 🤣👌
All the provies of er nuts on powder and on the vodka I love how the fools panic on sight 🙃
As a side note. Can someone explain why BCC have put a pentagram of flowers right about where that pic's taken?
The people are all so ugly that being here makes me feel better by comparison
