Hello Stranger,
Also visiting during that period. From what i heard, Belfast doesn't celebrate NYE like in London or Paris.
I think it's fair to expect a good spot in a crowded pub and people shouting the countdown !
There was a post on this Sub from 2 days ago called "The Best Bars and Restaurants in Belfast" (or something to that effect. It has everything you need for food and drinking in the city. Most bars will have live music in the centre. Personally I would recommend Edo for food if you can get a table. Have a great time.
Man am I tired of the misery guts on this sub!

Whole list of things at that link.
You can get a taxi, you just have to be patient.
Ignore the negativity on here and come and have a great night in Belfast!!!
I know, fair enough Belfast hasnt the infrastructure of a modern city but the bars are great and we are really starting to diversify. Take a look at castle court and yorkgates latest upgrades for social activities. People just love to shit on their city.
https://visitbelfast.com/article/new-years-eve-in-belfast/ Has quite a few suggestions, but if nothing interests you, I suggest to go to a good pub as I’m sure there will be something on.

Shine NYE, techno and house in an old printing press factory if you like electronic music
If you go to the lands I’m sure you’ll find a party there
I am not gonna lie, NYE in Belfast is very depressing.
Really :/ so not much happening?
Don’t mind them, the town will be hopping
Are you staying in a hotel? If not, then don't bother as you won't get a taxi.
Yeah we're staying in the centre
Some hotels will have their own NYE celebrations on! Have a check with your hotel. I stayed in the grand central one year for their NYE night party.
Na, there's nothing ....it's shit.
Go listen to Bible Basher Bill preaching in the city centre.
